I enjoyed this book but...
1. You don't have to keep telling us that Hayden likes to spend weekends with her grandparents.
2. You need to have read the first book before you read this one. Their are parts of dragon lore for this universe that are mentioned in book one that aren't in book two.

And here is where it fell apart for me
3. All book long Jace tried to keep his mom and his brother apart because his brother looked so much like their deadbeat father. And yet in the last chapter suddenly Jace looks like his father and Porter looks like his mother. What?!?!

Oh how I didn't like Kaylee for most of this book. And major timeline issues.

My only complaint is the amount of French in the book with no explanation. It doesn't have to be a direct translation but something.
