While I'm excited to have seen growth in the main character by the end, I severely disliked him for the first 12 chapters and I'm not so sure his growth at the end was enough to redeem him.

Powerful!

A simple story of a grandmother and her grandson gathering blueberries.

Some of the words are also translated into Swampy Cree. A glossary and pronunciation guide are provided at the end.

A gentle story that highlights some of the treatment Native Peoples experienced in residential schools in Canada. Along with examples of how these children were made to conform are also ways they found to remain true to themselves.

Simple story that reminds us all to embrace the things that make us happy.

Beautiful story about showing support and how important support and acceptance are for an individual.

Beautiful book. Unfortunately one too many pictures fell into the gutter.

Can I give this more than 5 stars? I really really want to give it more stars!!
