I felt the story was disjointed and had no flow to it. I was often confused as I listened to it. I don't intend to read any more of the series.
I enjoyed the book. Unfortunately I had watched the movie first so I was constantly noticing the differences between the book and the movie which isn't fair to either medium.
Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.
Loved how it brought in other Montgomery and Taggert books.

I was hoping for a story. Something with give and take. Some with a plot and a storyline. This felt more like a recitation of facts. Nothing exciting. Actually quite boring.
Ehhh. It was ok. I was thinking Harriet was a little bit of a brat. In the end she did make her apologies because even though you are allowed to feel what you feel and think what you think about a person you also should be conscience of other people's feelings.
It was an ok story. A couple of places were a little far fetched but the audience the book is intended for will probably not think the same thing.
The girls in my Mother/Daughter book club loved it.

Enjoyed the story line. Didn't enjoy the format but I'm not a poetry/verse reader. The book did seem a little anti-climatic in that there was a lot of talk about the KKK and even some action of the KKK but not enough in my opinion. The reader might not get a true sense of how much of an impact the KKK could have from this story.
I struggled to connect to the storyline like past Lucy books. Makes me wonder if I'm going to read any of the next Lucy books.
