I’ve wanted to read this book for years. I finally managed to get around to it and I found it a little disappointing. I loved Ever the Hunted and thought this would be similarly great, but it fell so short.
Everything happened in such a rush and the action was so simple and kind of childish when described.
I didn’t feel much for the characters at all, although a good job was done to refresh the reader as they went.
The end redeemed things for me slightly, at least enough that I want to read the last book, but I don’t have high hopes unfortunately.

I was so looking forward to reading this book and was so happy when I was able to get an ARC, but this book fell so flat for me.
First off, the way it started was so confusing. You have no context, no idea what is going on or how it relates to anything. This theme continues throughout the books. You are given no idea how anything works or how it is connected to anything or what it means. You need context! You need the history of the town, you need I formation about why Demarco is in Gloria. You literally don’t get this until 88% of the book and it’s a hard slog without it.
This book had so much promise but delivered on absolutely none of it.

I liked this book. It’s a great YA book with a strong storyline, strong characters, and strong romance.
At times i think the writing is a little clunky and could use a tidy up, but it’s not too distracting.
I love the cast of supporting characters here and wish this series had continued.

I loved this book! I love Tory and I love Abby.
I love how sensitive Tory is as well as his connection to Hayden.
I loved how problems are worked through in this book as well as Ginger’s usual touch of humour, wit and punch you in the gut feelings!
I love how real the characters are, how real the problems are, how lifelike this all could be!
This is a great book, a great series, and I can’t wait for the third(!) Book!!

I absolutely love Victoria, but this just wasn’t my type of book.
I love the writing, I love the characters, but the subject matter and how things evolve just isn’t for me.
If you’re a fan of superheroes and super human fears, this is for you!

This was a solid book, and a good end to the duet.
I like Reese and Cooper and I like their story.
I do think that it all could’ve been told in one book, and stand by my opinion that book 1 was overly drawn out, but it still works as 2.
I do think that there’s a lot of repetition of phrases here and it does begin to grate a little, which is an issue that could’ve been solved with the combination of books.
Still, this is a solid book and a good duet, give it a go if you’re a fan of Kaylee’s work.

I loved this book! I loved the continuation of Dash and Lexi’s story, as well as getting to see Smith and Dylan’s.
I loved seeing Smith’s growth and his darkness, but most of all the fight he showed and the strength of Dylan.
Highly recommended!

I love this continuation of the Devil’s Share series!
I love that we get to see more of the couples as well as the emergence of Luke’s and let’s not forget little Halen!!
A great story!

4.5 stars.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved it when I first read it, and I love it still.
It’s a simple story, a simple premise but I love it.
America is great, a simple character just trying to follow her heart.
Aspen is strong and stubborn and also a little infuriating.
Maxon is great. He’s a little lost, a little hopeless, but there’s a lot to love about him.
