I enjoyed this book so much more than I thought I would. It was exciting, it was thrilling, it had a little bit of sass, and a little bit of romance and everything I wanted.
I loved the characters, I loved their journey, I loved how different and unique their stories were.
I was reluctant to read this book because of the fuss with the author, but I’m glad that was cleared up and that I genuinely enjoyed this book.
It’s a great fantasy, with a rich world and I’m excited to read the next one!

I was a little disappointed in this book. The first one took me by surprise, but how it won me over, this book tore apart.
This boom seemed a little directionless, as if the author didn’t quite know where she wanted to go, or how she wanted things to go down. Things happen and aren’t explained, the repercussions of the first book not touched on. It’s almost like what happened didn’t matter.
I hated Amari in this book. Hated her. She pushed her way in where she didn’t belong and didn’t understand why people didn’t accept her.
I loved Roen but fear a love triangle with an ending I’m not going to like.
Zelie endeared herself to me even more. I love her strength, her vulnerability.
Inan disappointed me, never really making the hard decisions.
Despite this book, I still really want to see how this series plays out, I just hope it all comes together a little neater.

I loved this book. I loved catching up with my fav Alabama couple, and checking in on the rest!
Ben and Mia are ultimate couple goals, even if not everything goes to plan. And Nolan is too cute!!!
A great addition to the series.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved Audrey Rose and Thomas and their adventures.
Audrey is a great role model for modern women; strong, independent, intelligent, and determined.
Thomas is now at the top of my book boyfriends list. He’s smart, and charming, and a lot more naughty than I thought he’d be for the time, but I loved it nonetheless.
I loved the historical weaving of this story, even if in the second third I did feel it dragged a little.
But this is a great debut book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

This book was a little all over the place for me. It started off full steam ahead, but didn’t give details on what was going on. It was also never, EVER explained what the hell haven was doing at the party in the first place or why she felt compelled to approach Ryker.
I’m also not sure as to Haven’s character. She says she’s a rebel but I didn’t really see that. She’s also pretty loose but I didn’t feel that fit either. I also would’ve liked to have seen a uniform way she refers to her father.
Ryker was an okay character for me. The yellow brick road thing didn’t really make sense to me and the constant repeating of it annoyed me a little.
What I really wanted to see was just more depth of feeling from both of them. It’s clear they want to sleep together, but I didn’t really see love.
I liked the mix of sports and politics, but the characters didn’t really pull it together for me, sorry.

It’s been a minute since I’ve read one of Cambria’s books, so I hoped this book would be like meeting old friends again. And it was, to an extent.
I loved revisiting these characters I’ve fallen in love with. I loved seeing what they’re up to now. The storyline had everything I was looking for.
It was the writing style that got to me. It was just a little too much, a little too over the top. It needed to be sharp and edgy. I felt that was shied away from.
There are some tough topics in this book. They needed to be sharp, pointed, almost angry. To me, they felt soft and in favour of always falling on this side of horrible. I wanted and almost needed, it to fall the other way. I wanted to see the ugly in all it’s goriness. Things were smoothed over so they’d be more palatable. What went on here didn’t need to be smoothed over, in fact, Cambria has never shied away from it before.
So yes, I did love this book, but I wanted it to be more.

This was a solid read. Nothing earthshaking, nothing with a lot of fuss, just two hot brothers and the girl they share.
It’s a quick, hot read with a little drama but nothing to get too worked up over. The storyline is typical of these types of over the top, instalove books but I didn’t go into it thinking it would be anything different.
In all, I did enjoy this book. It’s spicy, it’s cute, it’s a quick read, so give it a go if that’s your thing.

I really enjoyed this book, as I did the first one.
I loved Cole and Sawyer, as well as Bianca and Oakley.
I loved how both sawyer and cole have faults, equally.
I also loved how these faults played out, even if at times, they frustrated me, but it all adds to the angst.
These two aren’t perfect, but that’s exactly the type of character I want to read about. But as a couple? They’re pretty great.
If I had one criticism it would be that more effort could’ve been made to make this part of the series, explaining things a little more. It didn’t have to be much, just an effort to refresh memories, or clue in new readers.
Still, this is a great bully romance, give it a try!

Best friend’s dad’s are my latest fav and this one is a pretty great one. I love the brushes of humour, the sexiness, as well as the touches of real.
Cherry is damaged, she’s a little crazy, but she’s human. I’m a big sucker for characters with flaws.
Having said that, I would’ve liked to have seen more of hers. The drug use seemed too casual, like an add-on, and the thing with food was never really explained and disappeared. I also thought the issues with her sister would’ve played a bigger part.
Cash is great, but I would’ve liked to have seen more of him. See his chat with Randall, hear more of his thoughts during his relationship with Cherry. I think his POV needs to be fleshed out more. I also want more of him and Arden, i think that needed to be fleshed out more.
In saying all this, I loved this book and highly recommend it!

I loved this book! I love Audrey Rose and Thomas and the adventures they get themselves into.
This story was rich with information, tradition, intrigue, romance, humour and wit.
I loved reading about the adventures and the history of Dracula.
I love how strong Audrey Rose is. How sure she is, but still feminine.
I love how witty Thomas is, his respect for Audrey Rose and his unashamed love for her.
I did find the constant references to gloves and being unchaperoned a bit tiresome, but it is a small drawback to what is an excellent book!
