Love this book.
Love Nikolai, Zoya, Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Weyland.
The best hits were the ones with the crows imo.
Love how everything came together, even if some parts weren’t as detailed.
Loved the twists and turns, humour and romance.
But that ending…

This was a solid book.
I liked the premise, I liked the culture.
I liked how Ning never took a step back.
I liked Kang and Zhang and Ruyi.
I liked the magic system.
I did feel, however that the romance was a little contrived, that it only happened because it needed to, and not because the characters actually wanted something to happen.
Am invested in the next book!

6 stars.

I absolutely loved this book!
Lina is so deliciously sassy.
Rui is devastatingly disarming.
I love how we come to love the Talons, that they’re just as much a part of the story as Chan et. al are.
I love how real Lina’s pain and grief is and how real that makes the story, how it grounds it.
I love the twists and turns, the romance and the action.
This book was just perfect and I can’t wait for the next book!

I’m super disappointed with this book.
I liked how the riddle came together and kept you guessing right until the end, but the flip flopping on Tobias was a bit painful and a tad convenient.
But the thing that really disappointed me was the whole jamieson/Grayson/ Avery triangle.
I had struggled with who I shipped, and had come to the conclusion I shipped Grayson, as did the majority of people I have spoken to.
But it felt like she was bending over backwards to make them seem like end game. You know, the whole thou out protest too much sort of thing.
And then at the end? Grayson doesn’t end up with anybody and doesn’t really get a HEA? So unsatisfying.
But at least the riddle was solved…
