This is a really twisted book. The entire book, you're wondering "who done it." I was guessing all the way to the end. It was almost like the game Clue. It's done really well as an audio version!

I honestly burst out laughing with a wtf moment when the first twist is revealed. SO UNEXPECTED! The book was NOT what I was expecting at all, granted, I went into it blindly. I don't think it's a super scary book, but I don't get scared by books, so my opinionon that is relative. The FMC experiences a lot of growth throughout the book and shows perseverance. It makes you wonder if your family makes you who you are. I enjoyed the sarcasm of the FMC. It does keep you wondering what's going to happen initially, although I was able to predict what was going to happen towards the end. Overall, a good book if your into horror novels.

If you are a historical fiction lover, especially WWII history, this book is amazing! So many WWII books are written of the war itself, from the points of view of the men on the frontlines; this, however, is one of the best books I've ever read from the perspective of the "women's war." The story is historically factual, and the fictional story is beautiful and heartbreaking. I felt such a range of emotions: anger, hope, resistance, fear, rage, love, and inspiration. I even had to break out the tissues, multiple times. Although fictional characters, their stories are so realistic that it makes you sob. The story of these two sisters surpasses this novel. It stretches into a real time of history where women aren't usually remembered, and it is exquisitely told. Kristin Hannah makes you feel their hope, despair, and love. She tells a story that has been mostly forgotten by history, a story left in the shadows- what happened to those who were left behind and how they managed to survive.

This book gives major "Misery" vibes. It grabs you from the very 1st chapter and keeps you engaged the whole book. Slightly different from her other books, this book has the same setting for a significant amount of the book, but that doesn't make it any less suspenseful; it actually builds the suspense, keeping you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen. I tried to guess the ending so many times, and of course, I never suspected what was coming at the end. I would definitely recommend. If you haven't read any of Freida McFadden's books, this is a great one to start with.

As always, I love the Jessie Hunt series. This one was a shorter, quicker book in the series. I was able to guess the ending, but by this point in the series, you can someone guess Jessie's moves. Still, I love this series and waiting for the next one!

I laughed so MANY times at the conversations between Lucy and her grandma. I could've made almost all of their conversations some of my favorite quotes. It's a sort of witty, sarcastic humor. Not only is the book incredibly comical, but it is REALLY good as an audiobook. It might be the BEST audiobook version I've ever listened to (and I've listened to hundreds of audiobooks). It honestly sounds like a true podcast, musical intro and all. But the off podcast conversations and storyline are just as good. These narrators really bring life to the characters. It keeps you interested throughout the entire book, wondering how things will come together and who is the true killer. If you love true crime, podcasts, auidiobooks, and suspenseful psychological thrillers, you will love this book!

I really enjoyed this book. From the very beginning, I was hit with a contradiction that kept me trying to figure out the missing piece until the end. This book is suspenseful and keeps you locked in, waiting for the truth to come to light. I love the way it explores the truth and how it can be manipulated, as well as the concept of time and how it doesn't stop, no matter what the circumstance. I was really engaged throughout and surprised by the twist at the end. I even shed a few tears. I would definitely recommend.

This wasn't too bad.  The suspense is slow, but still worth the read. I somewhat saw the twist coming, at the end, which is why I only gave 3.5 ⭐️ instead of 4.
