I grabbed this because I remembered the name Emily Rodda from when I was in school, and I thought this might be interesting to read. I can see how for a child it would be great, but I think as an adult it didn't hit the spot. It was quick and easy, and definitely has that fantasy/magicky feel to it, so I'm sure that plenty of kids love reading this. Things just hit differently as an adult sometimes I think. Would recommend for primary school aged children.

It's been a long time since I read the first instalment but I remember enjoying it and being intrigued by this world. So of course I wanted to read the other two books by the other authors as well.
I really enjoyed this one. I liked both Weston and Callie even if Weston was so closed off and stubborn because of what he'd been through and what that made him feel. Callie is an amazing Mum and Sutton was such a great character in this too. I liked the dynamic with all of them and how things seemed to fit so easily. I think they all taught each other some things and I just really enjoyed this and the world its set in.
I look forward to reading the next book about Crew, and I definitely recommend this one as I couldn't put it down.

Holy wow! I don't even know where to begin with reviewing this book. It started out easily enough and then next minute, around 30% in, I was all like YOU DID NOT RACHEL! OH HELL NO! And from then on, I was totally captured and following this story to see how things would play out.
There's the one big mystery running through the storyline but there are plenty of moments with Bella and Ivan that are sweet, frustrating, and anything else you can think of. Some typical moments from all our fave mafia crew too.
And then, as things ramp up to the end - I did not see that coming. I figured it out about two seconds before it happened, and OH MY GOD. RACHEL IS BRILLIANT AND EVIL AND WHAT WAS THAT! HOOOOOOO BOY!
This gives a lead in to some more great mafia books in this new series, 'Rise of the De Langes', and this was one hell of a way to open that series and continue my favourite mafia world. Blood In. No Out.

I enjoyed this book. Livia had quite the story but she was still trying to make the best she could of a really bad situation, and she still had her strength about her. She was also always trying to look out for other people, more than herself, when they wouldn't necessarily do the same thing for her. Just a good person who found herself in some bad circumstances because of some previous decisions.
Nash is a really cool character. I liked his fun side, but his loyal and loving side were always showing through as well. He was protective and kind and fun, a great male lead for this book.
I enjoyed how this all played out, it was a pretty cruisy read for me and as usual a great book by Sarina Bowen. Would recommend.

I enjoyed this one and I liked both Jackson and Holly, however I really got frustrated with all their back and forth and treatment of one another. I wanted to see how things would play out, but I just wanted them to get their stuff together and sort themselves out. There were some laugh out loud moments, some frustrating groan worthy moments and some emotional moments. Great world building too.

This is the first Max Monroe book that I've read in quite some time, as I'd felt a shift in my enjoyment of their books - I must say, I was thoroughly pleased that I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun and flirty enemies to lovers book and I found it really easy to read and to like the characters. There were lots of laugh out loud moments and some sweet moments and sexy ones too. Would recommend.

Holy wow. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I must say, I wasn't sure what to expect as I had originally read the short released by Jay earlier this year, and I do always struggle to connect with short stories. But I needn't have worried - as ALWAYS Jay has delivered and delivered in a huge way.
I went through the highs and lows with Harlow and Jace. At times when I was reading at work on my breaks, I was holding back the tears and hoping my colleagues didn't walk past an wonder what was wrong.
Both our lead characters have so much trauma in their lives - and communicating it to each other, those around them, and navigating through it is a huge task. But, they are the light in each others darkest of times, and I FELT their story.
I loved so many of the side characters too, and there was one I absolutely DESPISED. (You will know when you read this).
Go and grab this book, you will not regret it. Highly recommend and cannot wait for more words from Jay McLean in the future.

This was a fairly easy read and it had likeable characters. I liked Prue, Darius and also George. I liked how I could picture the town it was set in and the places the characters visited (because I am Aussie and they are Australian towns nearby for me), and I always love small town books/series. There were some hurdles for our characters but they really understood each other and I enjoyed how things all played out. There was one thing in the end I would've liked a firm answer on, but otherwise everything was really nice.

This was an easy and enjoyable read. I liked reading about the racing world and I enjoyed watching Dev and Willows relationship go from friends to something more. Just nice and easy and relaxing read, would recommend.

This sounds really good but I started it, kind of got into it, but put it down and now every time I try to pick it back up, I just can't get into it. I also can't picture Kiama being a horrible small town with a big secret. I'm sure this is for others, just not for me.
