Ok so this book wasn't as good as the first, although I was extremely hooked by the end. I loved how everything joined together between the before and afters and I especially enjoyed how things escalated towards the end of the book. The two big things (I don't want to ruin it for anyone, so I won't say what they are) didn't really surprise me at the end. I just expected them to happen, and never really believed the way it had been written about them previously, that I could just write it off. Although I am very keen to start requiem as this will make for an interesting finale to this trilogy.
I loved this series. It's about fighting for what's right and what you believe in. Life can be tough but you have to make the best of it and fight for things. Of course there's a love story involved and it pretty much ends how you'd hope, but that just makes it better. Fight for your happy ending, it's out there somewhere.
Another witty book in the Plum series. Sometimes I think I'm starting to get bored of this series, and that its gone too far, but I didn't think so with this book. Stephanie and Lula strike again.
This book is fantastic. Haller believes his client is innocent of murder, a murder of a former client and is determined to prove it. The story is intense and ends in a way you don't see coming. This is probably my favourite Mickey Haller novel so far. Well done Michael Connelly, another fantastic read.
The second amazing instalment in the Fox and O'Hare series. Witty, charming and actioned packed, I didn't want to put this book down. I love this series and can't wait for the next instalment.
I loved the Sookie Stackhouse books, and this book sounded like the start of another great series. Incorrect. This is definitely not some of Charlaine Harris's best work. She seems to like the idea of powers in ones mind. Sookie with her telepathy and Harper being able to find the dead. This book just didn't enthrall me the way the Sookie series did. Those books I couldn't put down. This one I was just reading to finish it. It's a great storyline in theory, but needed a better writing style for it be great. Not a horrible book, but could've been better.
