This one was my favourite. I do recommend reading this as a starting point when it comes to reading the classics. I gives you a feel for the book while also being something modern readers are more used to.

This is still my favourite book of all time. I love all the characters, especially Murphy even though we don’t see him much. He’s just so adorable. And Alexa is a brave young lady who just wants to explore. I love the story too.
I read this book at least once a year, especially in summer.

OMFG, this book was amazing. I can’t believe it took me this long to read it. It was so intense. I absolutely loved this book.

This one is my favourite book in the trilogy. We don’t spend much time in the arena, but the lead up to it and all the things she goes through are just so intense. I really like the idea of “the government is always watching” and “be careful of what you say because if the wrong people hear, it could mean trouble.” I also love how it shows the media and censorship. Like anything that can lead to revolt gets cut out from they public eye. It rings true ok this society.

I found this book so disappointing. And the ending was very anticlimactic. This could have been so much better than it was. I was hoping for our strong characters and friendships to return but that was completely non-existent. Maybe the last book will be better.
