This book was so beautifully written. I didn't want it to end just so I could stay there forever. The love story written in these pages was wonderful. Once I understood the reason for why they felt connected right away, I just fell even deeper into their love. Laini Taylor just has a way with words that I cannot explain. I loved every second of this book.

This book started off as an average 3 star read, but then the ball started rolling and it got so exciting that I couldn't put it down. There was action, twists, great characters. I loved every second of it once it got going. My only issue was the romance. It was way too fast and felt too unbelievable. I really would recommend this book. It was an awesome ride.

The premise of this book was great, but it turned out to be an average read. I did like it though. I just feel like it had the potential to be more. I do love that this book is very female-driven.

I love reading these books. They are a cute, quick read. The only real issue I have with the series is how young Lara Jean acts. She’s 18 in this one and still refers to her father as “daddy.”
Her relationship with Peter is still way too tame and I expected that things would go further since they’ve been together for a year now. And the communication problem is still there. They needed to sit down and have a conversation about what they wanted in the relationship and how they were going to go about long distance, but instead there was no talk and all silence. Peter just shuts off when things get too hard and only do something about it after Lara Jean decides to end things. I love these two together and Peter is really sweet, but I don’t think they would viably last if this were a real relationship.

I found this book to be very slow and quite boring. The contest wasn’t interesting and left a lot to be desired. The random romance we got just felt way too out of place and the twist ending didn’t bring anything new to the table or provide any answers. I found it anti-climactic. The book promised answers and then ended, leading to a sequel. I doubt I’ll be reading the sequel as I struggled to get through this book.

DNF at 41%.
I found this book so agonisingly slow. Nothing really happened, and when it did, it was written in the most boring way imaginable. It’s a road trip book with nothing really going for it. I had no idea what any of the children’s powers really did except for Zu, and even that was uninteresting.

I found this book to be very dense. I couldn't really concentrate on it. It's something I will try again later though as I do think it was a good book. I just was not in the right headspace for it at the time of initially picking it up.
