If you love Jorg and the boys this is a must read.
There is nothing funnier or cuter than reading about Jorg (6) and William (4) trying to murder their father, jumping on coffins and plotting world domination. They were rascals!

Didn't love it. Full review is on my blog.
It had plenty of action and adventure, but it felt rushed and by jamming so much into such a short time frame, it seemed like everything was glossed over.

The tone of the book isnѓ??t designed to make you comfortable, itѓ??s not here for escapism, its shoving everything in your face. The author isnѓ??t sugar-coating anything for your pleasure. Its like this book is a platform for them to say exactly what they want. Which it is. The writing style had moments of absolute brilliance and then I was skimming through sections.
'Not even ten minutes into class and youѓ??ve got most kids sliding down in their chairs as far as they can go. Just their noses poking over the tops of their desks. Itѓ??s not like the movies where youѓ??ve got a brave Michelle Pfeiffer saving a whole bunch of kids from one collective life fail.'
Iѓ??m not really sure what I think about this book, I donѓ??t feel like itѓ??s a book you can rate. I think it brings up a lot of critical issues that need to be discussed, that people need to stop sweeping under the rug, issues that privileged need to stop blaming the others for. Itѓ??s not an easy read, but maybe thatѓ??s what makes it so important. It doesnѓ??t glorify the ugly, it leaves it all there for you to see.

I received this ebook from via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Ok, firstly itѓ??s Vampires. They are all vampires. I love vampires, I love all kinds of vampires, even the shiny kind. This book though totally missed the mark for me.
I requested this based off the above synopsis and I have to wonder if the person who wrote the blurb had even read the book. Iѓ??m 30% in and Iѓ??m not getting the same vibe as they did.
It's a hard pass from me. I'm not giving it any rating, but it is a DNF.

I received Hot Target from the publisher, via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Hot target is a romance novella from April's Alpha Security series. We jump in after a couple of books so the book alludes to events that have happened in the past, but we never feel like we have missed any of the story. It's really easy to read as a standalone, but if you are anything like me and a complete sucker for the alpha types, you will want to head back to the start of the series and find out more about these characters.
This was fun. I have a total soft spot for these types of romance. Rachel is a survivor who is sick of everyone treating her like she will break. Logan is a sniper who is feeling the emotional toll of his life catching up with him. When Logan is the first person to bail her out of trouble the sparks between them reignite.
Hot Target is some what typical of the genre, but it is very well written, like I said it was fun, it was easy to follow what was happening and I want to read more about these characters. They are all adorable.

Absolutely superb. How can a book thatѓ??s over 50 years old, not even feel old.
It was epic, I really enjoyed it. Now if someone could hook me up with book 2, that would be great.

The Lost Sentinel is a character driven fantasy set in the beautiful land of Kalaya. Here the magic runs deep through the land, giving to the people and as they pass on, their magic is absorbed back into the land. The Sentinel guards the magic, holds it tight, protecting Kalaya and the people, but as times pass people begin to forget. People with magic are exiled, new people rule who begin pushing for magic to be banned. Things are going wrong on the astral plane as well, souls aren't making it through the gates, there is something in the dark, waiting, lurking, taking the souls for itself.
When Tei's father dies and she discovers the strength of her own magic, the Sentinel is old, he is losing his grip on the magic of the land. If the new Sentinel isn't found soon, Kalaya will no longer be protected.
