I don't normally like short stories. I've read a few and they didn't feel complete, more like a section of a story. This wasn't like that. It was simple, funny, a little silly and complete. It made me care about the characters. I adored Peter and even Emily after a bumpy start grew on me. I don't think I would have liked this as a full novel, Emily would drive me nuts and it would lose its quirky cool.

There was a lot going on in this book and I loved it. I was completely engrossed, so much so I was skim reading the last couple of chapters to see what happened. I found myself holding my breath wanting to know how it all turned out.
Time to order the rest!!!

Well this was like a big sucker punch to the gut!!! I was living in fantasy land and telling myself everything would be ok, nothing bad will happen. Patricia Briggs well and truly put me in my place and I just wanted to curl up and cry.
My love for the characters has grown so much.
Onto the next one I go!!

I had to create a did not finish shelf because of this book.
I have read a lot of terrible books in my time, but I finish them because I'm rather curious and I need to know what happens. This however went above and beyond bad. There was absolutely no redeeming qualities. They writing was terrible, things are skipped over and the plot jumps around. The characters are about as one dimensional as they come and there is nothing new in this book.
it made me want to gouge out my eyes.

A quick easy read. I thought it was well written.

Terrible!!!!

This isn't an entire story. It's marketed as the first book of a trilogy, but I get the impression it is just one book that has been chopped into three parts. It doesn't feel complete. It was far to short to truly get into the characters.
I will admit though it did scare the shit out of me in a few places, but I am a big scaredy cat!!!

This book is very different to anything else I've read this year, and it was a breath of fresh air.

Finding Mr Flood is an eccentric and endearing sweet read. At times it was a little too quirky but I still enjoyed it. The writing style got a bit irritating.
