The first one was meh at best and this one felt worse. Wouldn't get past chapter 2.

Honestly struggled with the audiobook - will be trying again with a physical copy!

Unlikeable characters, the background makes no sense (how can she be part of a power-couple so famous everyone online knows who she and he are, but her work doesn't??? Also no idea why they are together in the first place). I couldn't stick with it since I wasn't enjoying it at all

Found the writing quite confusing. Honestly I don't think I'm in the right head space for this but maybe will try again at a later date.
Will say if you're reading Zadie Smith for the first time, don't start with this one!

This seemed really interesting but I found it quite confusing and honestly boring.

The main character is meant to be young (she's like 9) but she is very whiny and yet acts like a 5 year old and an adult at the same time. She can manipulate men but also wants to play and has tantrums when she doesn't get her way.

All the reviews I saw said that this was not historically accurate at all, so if that's something you care about, I'd Skipp this one.
