Too dark for right now

Not as good as Trainspotting 

So many stunning poems in this collection, each of them  touching on the theme of innocence/the loss of innocence in a variety of different ways. Since finishing this collection, I've picked it up at least once or twice a week to reread my favourite poems. So lyrical. Really loved it. 

Not the most engaging book I've read and probably not the Murakami for me but I do really admire his self-discipline and the high standards he sets for himself. 

The booktuber Jack Edwards likened this book to getting cornered by someone at a party who won't shut up about their niche hobby. Couldn't think of a better way to describe this!!
