This book was a DNF for me. I really wanted to like this one. I loved to idea behind this book but was not wowed by it. I had a really hard time getting through this. I got through about 55% before I gave up.
Pro: this book has amazing imagery and makes you wish to be on an around the world trip. I wanted to instantly get on the next plane to anywhere (although I cant currently)
Con: I was not a fan of Romy's character. You can tell she was making a lot of progress through the book but she still fell a little flat for me. I wanted her to be able to enjoy some of her trip but she was too focused on getting home the entire time.
Pro: The enemies to lovers storyline! I am a sucker for an enemies to lovers trope!
Overall, this book just wasn't for me. I think this book will work for a lot of people but there was just something about it I couldn't get into!

Dog lovers, rejoice! This book involves two adorable basset hounds and their owners falling in love.
I didn't love this one. it seemed to fall a little flat for me. I loved the aspects of the dogs bringing them together but this one just wasn't for me. I would definitely recommend this book to other romance readers.

This is the second book in this series by Sarah Morgenthaler and this one did not disappoint! I instantly want to get onto a plane to Moose Springs, Alaska and become friends with every one of these characters.
Lana was a great female character in my opinion. She knew what she wanted, she was an extremely hard, and passionate worker, and also cared so much about Rick and the entire Moose Springs community.
Rick was my favorite character. He was a hard working business owner and a great uncle and cat/hedgehog dad. His reactions towards Lana were endearing and often funny. He was smitten and like a middle school boy with a crush. He didn't know what to say around her half of the time and I think thats what I loved about him. He was so worried about her and only wanted the best for her.
They came from two very different worlds but they still found each other and they fell in love. I usually am not a huge fan of "insta love" but this was so well done.
Now, time for me to nerd out a little. I LOVE tourism and destination marketing. I have a degree in it and could talk about it for hours. This book made me feel giddy with all the talk of how tourism affects this small town and what would happen without tourism in the area and how business owners survive off of tourism. I felt like this was a really accurate representation of small town tourism marketing. It was so well written and I loved reading about it!
overall, this is a wonderful read for the holidays. I highly recommend this and I cannot wait for the third book to come out!
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review!

This is the perfect book to fall under "best friends to lovers" trope! Not only one, but TWO!! Emma Lord has done it again with this fantastic YA romance.
What I loved about this book was how it was about the relationship between Abby and Leo but also Abby and Savvy. I love stories about sibling relationships and this one was done really well. Most of the story revolved around Abby and Savvy. The romances were more of side stories. I really liked that aspect.
Abby was exactly what I think of when I think of a 16 year old girl. I think I found myself relating so much to her. She was anxious and nervous about telling people what she wanted or how she felt. She really grew into her own as the book went on. Her and Savvy really complemented each other so well.
Savvy was such a cool 18 year old. She has hundreds of thousands of followers on instagram and is a health influencer. She is also like Abby in many ways. She is still anxious and cares a lot about what her followers think. Abby and Savvy helped each other grow into wonderful young women. Also her and Mickey are SO CUTE.
Overall, this was a wonderful book. I loved Emma Lord's first book, Tweet Cute, and this one does not disappoint!
