Extremely well written and funny, this books will make you think and ask questions. It's not straightforward and the story itself is not that interesting, but it touches subjects deeply human and universal. I give it four stars and not five because, despite its qualities, I still found the plot lacking the pacing unequal.

A really good read, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Miles is a great character and Bujold’s style really suits me. Her storytelling and character development are top notch. Never a dull moment in this book. Highly recommended!

I know Miller’s art in this series is polarizing but I like it. I think it serves the narrative very well. The story is not as solid as the ones in volume 1 and 2 but still very good and brutal.

A good, well paced story and great introduction to Miles’ parents. I quite enjoyed it, and it just makes me want to read more of the series.
