An absolutely beautiful book. Being a salesman (kinda) in a small Canadian store myself, I really connected with the story and the characters. The tale of these two brothers is really fascinating.

The visual approach reminded me of Darwyn Cooke’s, it may look simple at first glance but it is actually filled with details and very well thought out.

The story has different layers and I believe one should read the book 2-3 times to really appreciate all of it.

I won’t spoil anything but let me say this. If you consider yourself a fan of graphic novels, or just of good, deeply human stories, you should read this book.

Beautiful prose, great concept, spot on pace and clever idea. What else can one ask for in a sci-fi novel?

I’d heard many good things about Way Station and it didn’t disappoint. It is both a profound reflection upon the Human condition and a thrilling story. Very highly recommended!

It is one of the best JLA stories I’ve read… and yet I’d only give it 3.5 stars. It does offer an interesting perspective on how a society works, and it uses the characters well to that end. But it is still a bit on the nose and the action is only passable.

I did enjoy the art and pacing though. And it is one Grant Morrison story that I could get, unlike a big chunk of his work.

An excellent Superman origin story, one that actually made me care about Superman (a feeling utterly lacking in most Superman stories). I also like the art a lot.

This is an example of how to make Superman interesting and relevant. It focuses on his morality more than his power, and that’s what makes Superman unique and fascinating.

A must read for DC fans.

The sci-fi elements of time travel are great in this novel. Imaginative, well thought-out and captivating. The characters are classic Asimov from the 50’s, a bit blank and cliched. But the pace is good, the story has a couple of nice twists and the little echo to the Foundation series in nice. In terms of sheer sci-fi, it is probably his best novel (from what I have read anyway).

It is dated, both in its treatment of female characters (although the ending alleviates that a bit) and obsession with nuclear war. But it didn’t prevent me from enjoying the book greatly, it is a product of its time and one should accept that.

It gets 4 starts instead of 5 because I wasn’t as taken by I as I was by some of his other novels. But I still recommend it very much.
