I was so excited for this and sad face.

It honestly felt like there was so much that needed to happen, that could've happened, that just got ignored. This was also the classic case of keeping secrets instead of talking it out. No one communicated with each other. I liked the characters.. I'm still confused on the magic system.

I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a sequel... there were just way too many unanswered questions.. I just don't get it...

Highly recommend this as an audio book.

This audio production was amazing and deserved all the awards it got. It was a full cast production and it was a fascinating. You got two different sides to the story that was so complex and well written.
I got so lost in the story because it felt so real, it didn't feel like fiction.

It was brilliant.

This book is one of the greats for all ages.

Tristan Strong just questioned everything and it was great. Kids calling out adults is my new favorite thing. This whole world was just so wonderfully crafted. There weren't any unnecessary moments and you really got to learn and grow with Tristan. Especially when Tristan was learning about all these African American heroes and the lore surrounding them. Part of me wants to reread this by listening to the audio just because the dialogue and the voice and the tone of this book is so well done.

Give me more books like this.. Give me all the books like this.

This was an exciting, fast paced book.

I enjoyed it a lot. It was such a complex mystery with so many twists. I was a huge fan of the unpredictability of this novel. Pip just really went all in, with no sense of self preservation and that is certainly one way try and solve a mystery. I think it worked.

I hear there's a sequel... I'm excited to see what trouble Pip can get into next.

This, to me, was not the fluffy and cute YA romance I was expecting.

After reading and loving Jennifer Dugan's, debut novel Hot Dog Girl, I was excited to give this book a read. The more I think about this book, the more frustrated I get... His parents....His privilege.... Her compliance... The lying...

I loved the setting of this book...

The magic system was so unique.

I liked this story. I wasn't the biggest fan of the art. My favorite character was Prill, I'd love a book about her and her story and her life. Also a sequel to this book wouldn't be so bad because.. the ending.

It was a nice graphic novel, that was a fast read.

I wish this entire series was available in the US right now!!

I need the entire series. I loved it. It's so sweet and cute and wonderful. I love their story so much.

International shipping is just so much..

I've never read a slow burn mystery.. its fascinating.

The first part of this book started off pretty slow and really picked up in the second half. There are so many layers to both mysteries Stevie is trying to solve. It didn't feel like the author reaching or adding unnecessary plot points or characters to make the story longer. It's a really captivating story.

I'm hype for the next book.

The artwork was amazing.

It was a pleasure learning Robin's story and seeing what it was like for her growing up. I'm a fan of graphic novel memoirs because we get to see the story as well as read about it. You get a feel for the character and their surroundings and what they really thought and felt.

Her story is really relatable.

I don't have the words to describe how this book made me feel.

I laughed. I cried. I got angry. It hurts because this is fiction but it's also a reality for some people.

There's going to be a sequel.. Nic Stone's not holding back.
