I did not like the style of the writing - a literal conversation. Its not something I would usually pick up, or finish once started. I found also the dialogue very ostentatious of the main character. However that being said, I still to this day many years on still quote directly from this book. And find myself when getting into negative patterns reminding myself of many of the beautiful 'teachings' in this book.

Beautiful book - easy to understand and follow. Brings a positive light to very achievable ways of living. 

I absolutely love Gregory David Roberts. And have re-read and read  Shantaram & Mountain Shadow multiple times. However I felt like this book was trying too hard. 

I love how G.D.R writes and tells a story he has a way of pulling you truly and deeply in. But I found it hard to connect to this book, perhaps if If you are already seeking the "Devine Perfection" and on the journey just requiring encouragement to keep on that path you might find this book insightful. However as I am not, I found this book all a bit to much.

I find "self help" books typically quite unrelatable. I have taken a lot away from this book and would recommend it to anyone that might just want to look at their life from an alternative perspective.
