i adored this !! the writing style was incredibly chaotic and it really felt like i was in asher’s head.

first read (feb. 2019) fuck. fuck. fuck. this is the first book of 2019 that had me in tears. the ending was absolutely beautiful. AND as a bonus this book will cause an existential crisis.

meren is without a doubt, my new favorite heroine !! she was strong and badass but still in touch with her emotions which I appreciated. and don’t get me started on reven! i can’t say too much about him without spoiling the story, but he was a fascinating love interest.
my favorite thing about the liar's crown was the magic system. let’s be honest, elemental magic has been played out time and time again, but abigail owens made it her own and it was so refreshing. i mean, the ability to turn sand into glass?! incredible.
anyways, this was a wonderful start to the series, and i will be eagerly waiting for the next installments.
