i am OBSESSED with this.

childhood best friend to enemies to lovers is the GREATEST trope out there

holy mother of the the fucking devil. i love any story that includes the devil, especially if it entails a cute boy protagonist, but damn. this was one of the best books dealing with the devil and all things evil and everything else you could ever imagine. definitely one of my favorite reads of 2019.

i loved everything about Between the Spark and the Burn. the plot was entrancing and the writing was absolutely stunning. however, there were so many unnecessary details, which was to be expected. i mean, come on, a fucking sea king? really?

in the end, it was still a fun read and i would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves strange, possibly unnecessary plot twists.

SECOND READ: this was a little cheesier than i remember, but i still loved it! also, gabriel was SO FUCKING INFURIATING
like just tell the poor girl the truth??

yes, i’m still team jonah all the way bitches

FIRST READ: well shit. i am not going to lie, Lailah confused me at first. as readers, we were pushed into her world with little backstory. but as the story moved forward little bits and pieces pushed together, creating a fantastic story. i love all the characters AND enjoyed the love triangle. there is nothing like a good old fashioned love triangle, my friends. team Jonah all the way, bitches.

oh my god i loved this!! the banter was SO FUCKING GOOD

loved the grumpy x sunshine but i wish there was more groveling at the end

i loved the groveling but… THERESA WAS SO FUCKING ANNOYING

GO TO FUCKING THERAPY!!

okay i fucking loved this

i am thoroughly disappointed. i am just going to pretend everything ended with the retribution of mara dyer.
