“let us learn to show our friendship for a man when he is alive and not after he is dead.” wow.
“that i have given away my whole soul to some one who treats it as if it were a flower to put in his coat, a bit of decoration to charm his vanity, an ornament for a summers day.”

ya know what? this book taught me a huge lesson. and that lesson is: i am NOT A FAN OF RAPE FANTASIES AND I WILL NEVER READ ONE AGAIN
i would give The Hazel Wood a 4.5. i really enjoyed the book, which offered a magical, twisted experience. i wish the ending was a little different, preferably with a certain couple getting together in the end, but what can you do?
the beginning was a little slow and boring, but towards the end we really get into the action. i didn’t expect the ending whatsoever, and was surprisingly pleased with the way it turned out. it wasn’t the greatest read, but was still fun nonetheless.
