SECOND READ (oct. ‘23): utterly brilliant! coraline is such a bizarre and eerie story, and i still can’t believe it’s considered middle-grade. If i had read this as a child, i would have had many restless nights.
this is my second time reading coraline, and it definitely won’t be the last. a true classic.
FIRST READ (sep. ‘19): “but we temper our justice with mercy here; we love the sinner and we hate the sin.”
forgive me father, for i have sinned...i watched the movie first, okay? and i much preferred it over the book, which is a very rare circumstance. don’t get me wrong, the book was absolutely incredible, and at times i couldn’t believe this was considered a children’s book. gaiman’s writing is otherworldly and i can’t wait to pick up his other books in the future.

i really want juliette to be with warner but i also really want her to be with adam and my feelings are all jumbled SOMEONE HELP MEEEE
what a beautiful ending for a beautiful series. i couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion, though i will admit, i am extremely fucking sad that this series is over. i wish there was more.
