'Wanderer turns where the destiny says, his home is -where he stays'

This book is a summary of the author's thought process and a reflection of her soul. The name of the book suits the content aptly and Ireally enjoyed this short read.

This book has a collection of 36 poems with varied lengths that explains her thought process and perception towards life, including the people close to her and around her. The flow of the poems are exactly how they mentioned, 'Beads tied with string and hook'. I really loved the fact that the poems were simple, yet thought-provoking without having to have in-depth knowledge about the poetic structure. Also the use of different poetic structures used in this book were easily recognizable, so that's A+ from my side!My only let down was that few lines felt kind of forced and out-of-place, like filling gaps. Other than that, it was a really enjoyable and breezy read!

Few of my favorites from the book - Hold On! (Inspiring), Craving(Humorous touch to a serious subject) & Wandering Soul(Thought Provoking). If you are looking for a simple & an easy poetry read with not many complicated verse, then I definitely recommend this for you! This is an amazing 'Just starting with Poetry' book.

“There is light and dark in everything. Even in our not-so-proud moments. I did not choose Oblivion that day. I chose a new path, and now I must share it.”

Okay. This book made me laugh, cry, bite my nails and made me throw the phone over a 1000 feet at the same time. It's hard hitting Contemporary which includes characters dealing with past trauma of losing a family and having a hard time adjusting to life. It's triggering, so make sure to read the warning before you pick this up.

Have you ever heard of the term 'Curiosity killed the Cat?' Well, that is a perfect description of our main character in this book, Avantika. What happens when a young journalist with a passion and curiosity, gets tangled in the web of Mumbai crimes? Lots of cryptic messages, going against the word of your superior, solo sleuthing and some office romance.

A breath of fresh air !

The characters, the storyline, the open conversations they had, the writing style, everything complemented each other! This was such a wholesome story with amazing characters and a band of misfits, an adorable neice and a found family!

Witty. Thoughtful. Funny. Easy to Read.
That's how I would describe this book. 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' is such a simple question that gets answered differently as we grow up. The simple yet indulgent way the author makes us think about what we are, what we do and who we do it for really made me feel good in a way.

I will be honest, I am not a huge fan of Non Fiction and I was wary going in. But the personal experiences the author shared, the way the book was divided and explained, and the simple anecdotes made it so much enjoyable and extremely relatable! I'm 2 years shy of 30 and I felt called out at times (not going to lie that was a ride).

I found a lot inserts the author used witty. Let me share some of my favorite lines/quote from the book.

When you are a mother, a wife and a working professional, you get to experience the guilt the author is talking about. I loved the personal experiences the author shared and the facts and the extra explanations she included for every story. I think this book is a must read for anyone nearing thirty. Not for calling us all out, but it's a balm to your mind and it makes you feel like it's okay to be selfish for a while and take care of yourself admist all the drama and stress. I feel like I can do a lot of things now.
.
Thank you to the author and Rupa Publications for having me on the tour.
