Rebel follows our main characters Crystal: the now Queen of Starlatten, and Jaik, her now advisor as they try to right the wrongs her family did with the help of few trusted people. The book was more action packed and dealt a lot with character's emotions, doing the right thing and re-establishing new bonds. It deals with a lot of war scenes and death of Characters, so please keep that in mind.
