Bought this on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It is less adult than the Martian, the goal seems to be that the main character has to be a flaw. A smart girl, but so so so flawed. All in all she is just so shallowly written. The damn confidence in this woman overshadows that of the most sexy ones I know. The twist into accepting a job was also too shallow.
Spoiler I mean, a million sounds like a lot but it seems it needs to be divided by 6 to get to USD, so in the end... That's not enough to make heads spin.
Imo it would have been more fun if she died, make it more dystopia.

But, it was a fun read. Just not as good as his other works.

I couldn't get into it, it's small and beautiful but it didn't catch me

Yes but also... no. I just couldn't find the vibe. I liked the setting, but it doesnt really work for me in the end

Good story, its more fun if main characters aren't perfect so that was really nice. Still, the damn stupid mistakes that make you scream at the character that they are going to do something stupid... Also whoever things that at any time this will be fine and dandy. Therapy guys, these people need therapy after this happened.

somehow it was hard to keep track due to the name stuff, but it was more wholesome then I expected (which isnt why I picked up this book). All in all fine read, not grand.

really a good read through and get back to as needed after that

Good new idea that would impact the world, but I'm the end all is well and i prefer more dystopian. My faith is men isn't as good as it is for the author apparently

My head is still spinning with names... It's eons of stories handed together. The other works regarding the rings take their time, spanning the time of a few years at most, this is just a lot to take in. But grand to have a fundament on which the others stand.

I needed a light read and a vacation island with a love story seemed like a good fit. It's a good story, not to weird. Ordinary but well written. And i liked the use of perspectives here, especially seeing things from a tree point of view

The writing was confusing and bland.i like a good dystopia but this just wants to throw you from fight to fight, and get some clarity in the end. I prefer the other way around
