A disappointment. I hate it that the whole book refers to him as beast or prince, would have been a small effort to just call him Adam.
Also hoped the story was about what happened between getting cursed and meeting Belle, but half the book is reciting the movie BUT with infuriating wrong little details. Are you being true, or not?
The story of the beast has great potential, but this book was an uninspired take on that.

The series isn't improving with the new books. It seems that the main focus of this book was for everybody to get in a relationship and have passionate intimate stuff... It's a bit overkill.

Well that was better. Not how I wanted it, but better. Also, I don't think Sarah J Maas has ever considered a boy and a girl can just be friends.

Oh man that was a lot to take in. Halfway through I got a bit overwhelmed but its the last book so I just had to finish.
But, mainly happy endings all around and a lot of flowers. I know it's called Kingdom of Ash, should be Kingdom of Flowers. Sad flowers, happy flowers, small flowers, all the flowers.

I liked this more than some of his other work. It's bittersweet at the end though.

Also, the French are dicks.

For me this is a yes and no. It may well be that this book is onto the truth, but the way it is brought is just by spreading angst. Chapter after chapter of this is wrong, your environment is making this hard, it is surrounding you, etc. It gives the solutions at the end, which are still a bit vague, lifestyle changing and not at all comforting.
So spoilers, change how you eat, and have fun with stuff like exercise and cooking. For the rest of your life. Any meals that are easy, are out the window. Good luck.

You could say Greek Mythology is my Achilles heel. I love it when a writer takes the old lore and dips it into something new. I love all the hints to the stories of the past. Thus, I loved this book. The story has some great references, twists, and I like the concept of the Agon.

I'm always a bit afraid of books that seem to have gotten a lot of hype, but this one was a pleasant surprise. I liked the mundane life bit, but the murder gave it an edge.
