While I really enjoyed Ninth House and really looked forward to this book, I am disappointed. The story to me was much harder to follow to the point I had no idea what was going on and the ending that was set up didn't have quite an impact on me, wondering what a possible next installment will bring, afraid that it will drag the story a lot. I
hate that my favourite boy Darlington is like some demon like hellooo pls make him normal again </spoiler >

Interesting prompt, underwhelming execution. Maybe it is that I just seem to enjoy YA much less but I feel like the story could've gotten more background. Left me feeling unsatisfied

As someone who is the least romantic person I have ever me, no one is more suprised than me that I love this book. Had me smiling and gigling and gasping all the way through

Fuck you, Tolstoy - Anna deserved better than to be written by this.

Jokes aside, it's a wonderful book and named one of the greatest novels ever for a reason.
informative medium-paced

Wellicht interessanter voor leken en mensen die echt geinteresseerd zijn in strafrecht en strafzaken. Makkelijk geschreven, al vond im het zelf niet bijzonder

While to me it wasn't as enticing as TSHOEH, the ending was very fulfilling.

I liked the writing style and the overarching story in general, although some of the chapters from side characters didn't do it for me. Considering this is a debut novel, I will keep an eye on Meller's next books

I didn't expect to like it as much, since I have never read a celebrity memoir, which haven't always had the best of criticisms, but it is such a good book. Of course growing up and as an adult she had certain privileges, but in the end, she is also just a woman who has been taken advantage of (although that is an understatement). Raw at times, very reflective and wonderfully written. I hope she will keep on writing, because I loved the writing style.

Damn. While I didn't love the book at the beginning, I couldn't stop reading. Taylor Jenkins Reid crafted one of the most interesting characters I've ever read with a blazing story with wonderful moments - hard not to get completely sucked into the story of Evelyn Hugo

Everyone in this book was so insufferable except Shara and Chloe, whose story I actually liked - just two ambitious but absolutely messy teen girls being mean. I couldn't care less about all yhe other characters and the plot. Good that the other acknowledged through a joke that this is just trying to be some overly queer (I mean, half of senior year in some little Alabama town being queer? ) John Green- PLL - HS queer funny drama but it was just very cringy. Also felt like the plot was already resolved at about halfway so I was just very annoyed for the rest of the time mostly trying to figure out what interesting thing (spoiler alert- there weren't any) could happen. Have to say I didn't like John Green when I was a teenager and I did hope I would like this, but I guess this just isn't for me
