First of all—this was my first Charae Lewis book and trust me, it won’t be my last. I'm honestly trying to figure how I'm this late to the party!?

Mr. Hero? Yeah… he had me in a chokehold from the moment he stepped on the page...I'm the problem because he was mean af!

Yazmin’s life is in shambles after a brutal court loss to her no-good ex. Just when it seems like she’s at rock bottom, along comes Natacha with an offer that feels like a lifeline… or so it seems. Babysitting her six-year-old twins? That’s the grand opportunity? Be for real. I was convinced Natacha had something shady going on—because the way she threw those kids at Yazmin so she could disappear and live her best life? Scandalous.

And the twins! Omgosh!!

But let’s talk about what really had me locked in: Yazmin and Hero. The tension, the near-misses, the heartbreak, the pining—it was peak romantic angst. Every time they got close, life came swinging like, “Not today!” And that public call-out scene? If Hero had said that to me while I was out on a date? I would’ve folded like laundry. Immediately.

He knew he messed up—and he showed all the way out trying to fix it. I respected that. Yazmin didn’t make it easy for him, and rightfully so. Between the emotional trauma she was carrying, the betrayal she faced, and being humiliated by not one, but two men back-to-back? She deserved time, space, and then some. But watching her finally choose herself—and happiness? It was everything.

And let me just say: the heat in this book is no joke. Hero? Whew. The elevator scene may have felt a little sudden, but I wasn’t mad at it. Not at all. The chemistry was unreal.

This book didn’t just bring the spice, though—it dug into real issues: grief, mental illness, blackmail, loss, and violence. It got dark. It got heavy. But it was so well done. Raw, messy, and real.

Charae Lewis did what needed to be done. I’m officially a fan. And now? I will be diving into her entire backlist. No questions asked.

Fantasy Girlies are going to LOVE it!

Releasing this October, Our Vicious Oaths is a spellbinding, high-octane adventure that will hook you from the very first page and refuse to let go. N. E. Davenport has crafted a bold, immersive world where winged serpent flyers soar, fae queens refuse to bow, and oaths carry the weight of kingdoms. This book? It's everything—fierce, fun, and undeniably spicy.

Princess Kadeesha is a force. Warrior. Leader. Reluctant bride. From the moment we're introduced to her steel spine and fierce heart, it's clear she won’t be caged by tradition. Thrust into a political chessboard of dangerous alliances, ancient grudges, and blistering tension, her story flips expectations on their heads. And Malachi? Let’s just say he’s the kind of dangerous you’ll want more of. I love shadows now!

The chemistry between these two crackles off the page, simmering beneath witty banter, searing attraction, and conflicting loyalties. And just when you think you know what’s coming—BAM—the plot twists and the stakes skyrocket. Fae politics has never looked so seductive. Oaths and promises everywhere!

Fantasy lovers, this one’s got it all:

A badass fae warrior princess

A revenge-driven enemy turned reluctant ally

Winged creatures, wild battles, courtly scheming, and scandalous secrets

Spice that scorches the page (THE THRONE. You’ll know when you know!)

Thank you to NetGalley, N. E. Davenport and the publisher for the early opportunity to read this deliciously dangerous fantasy. This was my first introduction to Davenport’s work, and I can confidently say—I’m all in.

Add this to your fall TBR. Cancel your plans. This one demands your full attention.

Big shoutout to the lovely BriAnn Danae for blessing me with this immersive experience. The audio brought everything to life, and the vibe was top-tier. IYKYK and if not definitely get into this series!

If you love your romance grown, sexy, and full of that “we’ve been lowkey crushing forever” energy—this one’s for YOU.

So obviously I had the pleasure of diving into the ALC and whew baybey… Phallon and Ember did not come to play! They’ve been in the same friend group, peepin’ each other from a distance, acting chill, the two had undeniable tension just bubbling under the surface—but one little Galentine’s Day game turned everything ALL the way up.

Ember had her little "grown woman" bucket list, and the minute Phallon found out? Oh, he was ready to check those boxes and then some. What I loved most is that yeah, the heat was off the charts, but the friendship underneath it all was mad soft and genuine. They knew each other, saw each other, and never played games about it. Phallon made sure Ember felt like the queen she was.

And baby, let’s talk about the spice. These two could NOT keep their hands (or lips) to themselves, and I didn’t want them to! The scenes were hot but never overdone—it all felt natural, like two people finally letting the tension explode in the best way possible.

Trust me...grab the audio version Ashanti As Hell and Vonzell did it again!

BABYYYYY THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE??!! WHEW.
I had no choice but to slap it with ALL 4.5 stars. I’m talkin’ 4.5 big, shiny, can’t-deny-it stars. The way it ATE??
Listen—any complaints I got are background noise, because this story ran laps around my expectations.

Pacing? Smooth like butter, but with a kick.
The tension? Slow-build pressure cooker that hit JUST RIGHT.
And that cliffhanger?? EVIL. I mean true villain era—and I was HERE for it.

Now let’s talk about Dom, because SIR… WHAT?!
You in love with your wife, you feelin’ her deep in your soul… but you won’t SAY IT?
Because you “can’t be out here caught up like that”? BOY SHUT UP.
I was side-eyeing my phone like—am I reading this right?
Like… what’s the reason? What’s the trauma? Gimme SOMETHING. ‘Cause right now, he’s just givin’:
“I overthink every damn thing—except my side chick.”

You emotionally unavailable but out here dippin’ in temptation like it’s a buffet??
Chile. The nerve. The gall. The disrespect.

BUT—let me be clear.
If Dom’s the one who snatched up Carmen, cologne hittin’, voice low, talkin’ reckless?
I’m tuned in. I ain’t missin’ a beat.

Now onto Victoria… Girl. I wanted to root for her, I really did.
But she was floatin’ through this book like she was in a daze.
Your pops gets taken out on cartel turf, your mama gone under mysterious circumstances, and YOU just barely make it out alive… and you not even slightly curious?!
Not a side-eye? Not one late-night Google search??
And her uncle? Talkin’ all cryptic, not spinnin’ the block, not even fake-mad?
He’s givin’: “You an orphan ‘cause I said so.”
And she’s givin’: “Okay, Uncle Daddy!”
Girl WHAT?! Open your eyes!!

As for her and Dom? That chemistry was DOA.
He was emotionally stiff, and she was out here damn near panting behind him.
It wasn’t tension—it was awkward.
And Dom? Sir, you got all this discipline, all this strategy, all these rules for everybody ELSE—but you can’t hold yourself to the same standard?
Oh, you want your wife to stay loyal while you do what you want??
Boy be fr.

It’s not even about the cheating no more—it’s the audacity for me.
You want respect but you out here clownin’?
If karma would’ve slid through and handed him a bullet to the shoulder, I would’ve said “Amen.”

Because one thing about it?
You gon’ LEARN today.

I had the pleasure of receiving a copy Endlessly the beautiful continuation of For However Long by Kiriah Kache. Coming soon… March 7th to be exact!
