I saw a trend on Goodreads that readers were finding a book they loved as a child and re-read it as an adult. I now worry for my twelve year old self because this book hurts. Twilight came into bookstores right as Harry Potter was ending and I strayed into the books that were painful teenage vampire angst.

1. No one should be team Edward. He’s controlling and manipulative
2. No one should be team Jacob. He’s also controlling and manipulative.



ALSO BEING CLUMSY ISN’T A PERSONALITY TRAIT. I’m looking at you, Bella Swan.

The writing is questionable, but the morals are hilarious. Each chapter is very short and on a different topic of American history. At the end of each chapter it is summarized in a one sentence moral. I felt horrible laughing at parts because this book covers a lot of dark things in America's past for example:

Chapter title: The Trail of Tears is not the Name of a Linkin Park Album

A combination of Stranger Things and Vampire Diaries without the vampires.
