I really enjoyed the concept, and I love a good soft sci-fi, where the story focuses more on the human response aspect than the sci-fi mechanic itself. However, for all the introspection and reflection going on, I often felt far away from the deeper inner worlds of the characters. I never really felt the yearning the characters presumably experienced. Perhaps this was intentional, but I think it works against one of the primary explorations of the story.

The writing style is really beautiful and resonant. The structure did make it harder to fully immerse with any one story. I would have loved to see Dev & Eva's in a longer form.
