It took a bit to get in to but then it got gooddddd. This is such a great book and the progression of the relationship is extremely well timed.
A really great read for hallmark movie season. My only complaint is that there were plot holes that left me confused and lost in what was happening.
Thank you to NetGalley for the arc.
I'm pretty disappointed in this book. Normally I love Dickerson's stories but this one lacked the same feelings as her previous. Most of the plot time was spent in the exposition and the main two characters feel like carbon copies of previous ones she'd written. Despite being physically and mentally capable, Mazy is still treated as weak which really bugged me. The resolution felt super rushed because there wasn't much time spent building up to a resolution.
*reread it because I forgot I read it before lol*

The ending was a bit too neat but otherwise it was a quite sweet romance and I liked the fmc.
I wanted to adore this book but I feel like it lacked plot. The time jumps were really confusing and the “current” (as opposed to the “before”) was more vibes than purpose.
This is the kind of book I would normally read but I was pretty disappointed. It felt like a general story, not something new. It was predictable and lacked depth. It had a great concept but unfortunately lacked execution.
I adored this book and I know that I am going to love the movie that comes out March 2024. It was just perfection.
Unfortunately, I didn’t vibe with this one. I loved the first four but this one felt too single-toned (like there was only one incomplete plot rather than the usual multiple fully developed). The visual components of the graphic novel also lacked luster in comparison to its predecessors. I am hoping that the sixth (and final) installment finishes on a strong note!
No plot just vibes. Felt like a filler book to bridge the gap between books and 1&3.
