It is rare that a book makes me disregard my sleeping schedule when I need to be awake early the next day so I is a high compliment that this one did. The relationship was so well written and each mc was incredibly realistic. I loved the whole book and it had me squealing the whole time.

I was hesitant to read this when a friend recommended it but I am so glad I did! It gave me such Caraval meets Ace of Shades vibes. I loved the whole experience and this is a book that I wish I could read again for the first time.

A bit too graphic for my tastes but well written.

I had the privilege of beta reading this book a few months ago (setting it to today because I can’t remember the right dates) and I loved every second of it. I sobbed at the end which, to me, is always an indication of a great book.

This has been one of my most anticipated reads and it did not disappoint. The language is so beautiful and the plot was so well constructed. It was so emotional, especially the ending.

A bit dull in places but I was fascinated by the control Hawthorne exerted over the English language.

I love forensics but this book was so dull. The narrator was tedious and none of the characters felt dynamic.

Definitely an interesting read!

I really loved this book but I hate the nickname “pet” so much that I took away a star. It is such an icky name. The plot was great tho!
