“thunderous are the/searing lies, told crooked by/my traitorous mind”. Woah. This collection of poetry was incredibly powerful and thought provoking. Each poem stood on its own and still worked together to create a bigger picture of healing. I can’t wait for Randall’s next collection!

I’ve had this book on my tbr for a while and now that it’s over I’m kicking myself for not reading it sooner. I’m obsessed with the lovers to enemies to lovers and I’m even more obsessed with the fact that they get married in chapter one. Highly recommend!

I loved this book! I was in love with each and every character because they were all so well written. I especially enjoyed the plot twist at the end and I can’t wait to read book 2!

I really enjoyed this book! I’ve read a lot of Holocaust centered books but this one felt new to me. I loved the main character but not really many of the supporting characters. I loved Ernst but not the mc’s sister or eventual love interest. In fact I found them both to be annoying and toxic for the mc. But it’s a quick read.

This book has been on my tbr for a while and I have no idea how I managed to wait this long to read it! This was absolutely an impulse buy because of the gorgeous cover and the story itself was even better! I am so excited to start the next book!

Not even a day later I’ve already finished book 2! I can’t believe this book is even better than the first but it absolutely is! I am blown away by the characters and the world!

My first non-five star review. I have to say I’m disappointed with the repetition in this series. It feels like with every book I’m reading it is the exact same plot over and over again.

Dugan is back again with another fabulous addition to this series! Neck deep in a war the Cabel is going through a lot and it was a pleasure to see everyone's arc over the course of the book. Dragonfire was the perfect mix between heartfelt moments, humor, and scenes that made me sob. I seriously don't know how I can manage to wait for the next book.

I really loved Scar’s character, she was hilarious and I always looked forward to her scenes! That being said, I was a little disappointed in the plot of this story, it felt confusing and I found myself bored at many points.
