Overall a solid start to the series. I think it has a lot of potential to be interesting and magical, but also for possibly being bogged down by "middle school" woes. Since I have no sentimental attachment to the anime, I'll have to wait and see if I find that aspect too annoying or not.

This book just didn’t have the information I wanted for these women. It felt very surface level, which I suppose it has to be when it’s covering so many people. I think it’s a nice starting point to pinpoint people you’d like to learn more about, but not particularly groundbreaking or new.

I liked seeing more of Sango and Miroku’s characters in this edition. I’m definitely more interested in the side characters than the two mains.

I feel like this whole arch has resulted in a lot of the volumes I’ve been reading recently to just be the same over and over.

I really like Muso as an antagonist. He's pretty interesting. Overall this was a pretty bloody volume, and got a bit wild in a couple chapters. But I like this arch fairly well.

A good follow up to the first Tomie installment. I love how much deeper it's getting, and how crazy the story line can get. It really leaves me wondering how much more we can see come from Tomie, and leaves a lot of interesting questions about where she comes from.
