There was a lot i liked about this book,  the presentation of how reddit/Twitter works and blows things out of proportion was very on the nose and I enjoyed it!
What i didn't like was that one of the main characters was an incel? I'm guessing so the author could present a "both sides" argument,  but it fell flat to me,  because I just.... don't think there's any excuse for men that think like that.  It's immature,  selfish and cruel.  I found it was unnecessary and ruined a lot of the enjoyment of the book.  I love Jason Pargin but this isn't his best.

Very fun!  I wouldn't mind more books in this world that focuses on different kaiju! I love monsters.

Honestly,  I wouldn't have chosen this for myself, it was a book club pick. The writing is good! I think the author did a great job.  I just can't get over age gap stuff when it's a 19 year old girl and a 38 year old man.  It skeeves me out especially when he keeps being like "she's just a kid 😩🥵🥵"
Gross dude

THIS BOOK WILL NOT BE FOR EVERYONE.
it is brutal.
Honestly,  I liked this book a lot but there were some really rough parts to read. But, after all that,  the author's note at the end sealed this as a 5 for me. It's an incredibly deep and painful book, I loved it.

I've never read a book like this before.  I'll be thinking about it for a long time.

Slow burn romance! But the romance was good,  the humor was fun too.  Fun twist at the end! I enjoyed it.

Very spooky!  I loved it!
