This book is a heartfelt friends-to-lovers story about Percy and Sam, whose childhood summers together turn into something more—until mistakes and distance tear them apart. A decade later, they reunite, forcing them to confront their past and unresolved feelings.

The author's writing style was immaculate. It made it easy for me to lose track of time while I was reading  this.I especially loved how she portrayed young Percy’s character. While her adult self felt a bit immature, Sam's character remained consistently charming---making up for Percy's shortcomings. The book also explores themes of grief and loss, adding emotional depth without being too heavy.

So,would I recommend it?

Absolutely! This is perfect for fans of second-chance romance and nostalgic summer love stories.
It’s a light, bingeable read with only mild spice & if you happen to enjoy Taylor Swift’s bittersweet love songs, this book will give you similar vibes!

This is what I would describe as a beautifully written, emotional read.— & I’ll definitely be picking up more books from Carley Fortune!

There are no words to describe the profound impact Safiya Sinclair's memoir has had on me. The emotions, thoughts, and understanding I gained from reading this book defy expression. The traditional five-star rating system feels woefully inadequate, as this memoir transcends numerical evaluation.
Sinclair's story is a heart-wrenching yet uplifting account of trauma, resilience, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Her experiences brought me to tears, yet also offered relief, joy, and a deep sense of connection. I'm still grappling with the complexity of emotions this book evoked.
This memoir is a masterclass in resilience, forgiveness, and the transformative power of storytelling. Sinclair's story teaches us valuable lessons about the importance of self-awareness, the dangers of idealizing others, and the need to release anger and blame.

I'm deeply grateful for Sinclair's courage in sharing her story. Her memoir has broadened my understanding of the world, reminded me of the importance of empathy and compassion, and inspired me to reflect on my own life and experiences.

This book started off promising, but unfortunately, it morphed into a narrative about reckless and desperate characters making poor decisions. Rather than delivering the chilling and scary experience I was expecting, it left me frustrated and grinding my teeth in annoyance throughout.

This book follows our FMC, Janelle, as she navigates a complicated web of relationships. As the maid of honor at her sister's wedding, Janelle is forced to confront her past when she discovers that her sister's fiancé is her own ex-boyfriend. To make matters worse, her sister is determined to gaslight and emotionally abuse Janelle throughout the wedding trip. But amidst the drama, Janelle catches the eye of Rome, the groom's charming best friend, who's determined to win her heart.

I'm glad I finally picked up this book, even though it took me a while to get to it.
BECAUSE WHAT???!!!!!🤭🤭🤭
This book gave me butterflies in my belly. It made me want to scream at some of the characters.I laughed out loud at the banter between Evie and Christian. I love how NATASHA made all the minor characters stand out. They all made this story beautiful and worth all the time I devoted to it.
But, good Lawd... "ROME"😻😻😻
He has definitely made it to my "book boyfriends" list. Such a manly man. I love how he loved Janelle and supported his friends...there's not a single thing about him that doesn't make my heart do backflips y'all.. I love him so much - it's disgusting! Anyway, this is a great read.... I highly recommend that you read this book and dive into the nitty-gritty of the story-💞.

This book kept me at the edge of my seat from start to finish. Although the beginning was too slow for my liking, the tension built up to a thrilling crescendo. The story is a chilling exploration of human nature, exposing the depths people will sink to in pursuit of their desires, no matter the cost. It's a sobering reminder of the darkness that lurks within, and the horrific consequences of unchecked ambition.
I must warn that this book deals with sensitive topics, particularly related to childbearing, which may be triggering for some readers.Overall, I highly recommend this thriller to anyone who enjoys a gripping, thought-provoking read. Just be prepared for a wild, unsettling ride!
emotional reflective

I'm absolutely blown away by this stunning collection of poems from Brandon Leake! As a huge fan, I've come to admire his unique ability to tackle tough societal issues with care, vulnerability, and scripture-infused insight.
Brandon's willingness to share his personal struggles and life experiences creates a profound sense of relatability. His poetry is both deeply personal and universally resonant. I felt seen and heard in poems like "Fake Friends," where he captures the pain of superficial relationships.
It's refreshing to see someone openly grapple with doubts and fears, making his poetry feel more like a conversation with a friend.

This collection is a masterpiece. I'll return to it again and again. Thank you, Brandon, for seeing me and for sharing your gift with the world.

This beautifully woven collection of stories is a true masterpiece. Each narrative seamlessly blends into the next, tackling heavy themes like death, grief, friendship, racism, terminal illnesses, and unexpected pregnancies with tenderness and care.

I applaud how the friend group holds each other accountable for their actions while providing unwavering support through life's hardships. The writing is articulate and effortless to follow, making it easy to keep track of each character's journey.

With so many complex themes and storylines, it's a testament to the author's skill that the narrative remains engaging and cohesive throughout. I highly recommend this book to all my fellow book lovers – it's an absolute must-read!
