Loved it from start to finish! This thriller had me hooked, and James's writing style is absolutely persuasive. While seasoned thriller fans might piece together the villain's identity, trust me, it'll still keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are complex and intriguing, making this a must-read for fans of Freida McFadden. Highly entertaining and engaging - I'd definitely recommend it

The romance between the two main characters is perfection, and their backstories are so well done. But the real highlight for me is the female best friend - she's the ultimate ride-or-die, and I loved her quirky personality and vulnerability.

That being said, I did feel like the book dragged a bit in the middle, especially with the female lead's past drama. It felt like it went on for a hot second (okay, maybe more like half the book).

BUT, the slow burn, the tension, the romance... it was all worth it! I'd totally recommend this book to fans of romance, slow burns, and friends-to-lovers tropes. And can we talk about how much I need more books with amazing best friend characters?

---Considering this is an issue affecting many in society(even in our churchs) I like that it offered valuable takeaways and was a quick read, but I was disappointed that it lacked biblical grounding. Incorporating scripture would have added depth and resonance to the discussion.

This book reminded me of another I read in 2023, _𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐟𝐞_ by 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧, and I couldn't help but notice the striking similarities between the two. While I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, there were certain aspects that left me feeling somewhat perturbed, particularly the bride's treatment by her own family, especially her mother, and the intense public scrutiny she faced on social media and beyond - it honestly irked me.
Nevertheless, I was deeply invested in the Female Main Character's(𝐑𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧)journey of self-discovery and growth. I adored how the family she married into showered her with love and acceptance. Despite the challenges portrayed in the novel, my biggest takeaway would be the importance of 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 with 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 and 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, regardless of their social standing. We're all human, navigating our own struggles, and deserving of grace. I absolutely loved 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐬' character - his maturity, gentleness, and open-mindedness towards his wife were truly endearing. He undoubtedly stole the show as my favorite character in this book.

Frieda McFadden's signature twists and turns are always a thrill! I knew exactly who the culprit was from the start, but that didn't detract from the entertainment value. I've learned to appreciate her style and enjoy the ride, even when the plot isn't entirely surprising. This book was engaging from start to finish, and I'm already looking forward to her next one!

This book packs a powerful punch despite its size! The teachings are eye-opening, thought-provoking, and challenge you to confront life's truths. It's a journey of self-discovery that inspires personal growth and a deeper appreciation for life. I loved every bit of it and highly recommend it to everyone. Take your time, read a chapter a day, and meditate on the wisdom – trust me, you won't be disappointed!

So, this time around... didn't quite hit the spot like before, eh? Good for zoning out after a big book, and the stories keep you going. But 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, it's all about the bedroom antics.
Got a bit repetitive for me & these stories didn't paint the ladies nicely.

Still, if you're after something easy to get through? 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐆𝐎 Just... be prepared for a lot of 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 kind of thing, you know?
