Introduction
What a book this turned out to be! There is something so magical about entering the world of the Mystic Bayou and this charming quaint town and its colorful personality. And if you can get these books in audiobook then you definitely MUST! They are so endearing and just supernatural FUN! They definitely have their sexy moments too but there is something about the way that Molly Harper writes a romance. If you love paranormal with a twist of rom com, then these books should be in your queue to read. Shifters in the Night was a delectable read though. I enjoyed the dynamic so much and we have a bit of a mystery as well. 45

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Jon Carmody
Jon is a rugged small town man that lives in being outside and most especially living in the water. As a selkie, its part of him. He is quiet and reserved but he comes alive when he meets Lia. But he is not part of her "class" and doesn't feel like he could be worthy of her.

The Heroine: Lia Doe
Lia has come to Mystic Bayou for a contructional job her boss is organizing for the town. But the moment she arrives, she senses that something is more to this town. She is a doe, a female deer shifter and also can see aura's of others and can sense their emotions. Her parents taught her to fight for what she believed in and fight for what she wanted and the moment she meets Jon she knows what they have is something real and worth the fight...

Summary
Lia Doe has come to Mystic Bayou to complete a job. She is a workaholic, and as such hasn't had time to make many friends over the years. She is a loner and prefer it that way. She is determined and a hard worker and lives for her career until she comes to Mystic Bayou. Her boss has other plans for the town, but as she meets the other members of the town and its colorful diverse people she realizes that this town is magical due to the people that inhabit it and she finds a second home among them. But what she never expected was to be drawn to the quiet selkie whom she feels a strong bond to. Jon doesn't know what he needs to do about Lia. He wants to explore what they have, but he knows that she is a women of class and so far above him, but then he is reminded if he knows there is something unique between them, he would be a fool not to fight for her. But will Lia and Jon be able to find common ground despite their vast differences?

My Outlook
This book was such so powerful! I absolutely adored it so much. These books are just my catnip if I am looking for some powerful paranormal rom com's. There is something about Molly Harper's writing style that just ends up working out for me so well and the way that I was able to connect to these characters was so fun. And I mean the hero is a SELKIE (really he is a merman haha and it was sexy as sin) Their first meet cute was just adorbs though, normally I wouldn't go for it, but Molly Harper writes it in such a way that really worked. I was endeared by both characters. This is done in duo POV so we get to see both of their perspectives. I also loved the way that they just find the common ground that they need to make it work.

Overall View
I found Shifters in the Night to be a super read that will inspire and make you thirsty for some Mystic Bayou magic! Its a delectable and unique rom com that will curl your toes and deliver in a solid read!

Introduction
F-Bomb was a random pickup type of read! I was so thrilled to get to this one. I know its way out of order for this series, but I will say from my impression on this one, it can easily be read as a standalone if its needed. I didn't feel lost or anything and the MC aspects weren't super heavy. I really am enjoying this author's writing style. It is doing something so much for me and I am just getting a kick out of it. I really have enjoyed this one, and it was delightful. I honestly didn't know what I expected, but it wasn't this one and I definitely enjoyed the manner in which it was written. Definitely recommend.

My Outlook
F-Bomb was such a delightful read. I took too long in writing the review so it probably won't be as detailed as I would like but I do want to convey my thoughts on this one. I absolutely enjoyed this one so much. It was such a blast to read. I also really liked the way in which it was developed. And if you like light MC romance, then you definitely need to pick this one up. I was so charmed by their relationship and all the fun bantering was so delightful. The way that these two just played around with each other was so endearing. It had this next door neighbor charm to the story that just had me wanting to keep listening to it. I was so drawn to this one. And the romance was so interesting. I really liked how despite the lighter feel of the story we also get these emotional snippets that just brought great balance to the story as a whole. And these two do a trip to Disneyland, like can you get more adorable than that?? It was so interesting seeing them work through the issues and find their common ground together.

There is some great steam to this one, that wasn't overdone but wasn't too light either. The author really implemented it just right that felt so satisfying and real.

Overall View
I found F Bomb to be a charismatic MC romance that curled my toes and had me smiling all the way through! Definitely a keeper!

This will be a shorter review, as this book was super short but it was also endearing and sweet. Now I first want to mention that this has a secret baby trope. This won't work for everyone, however, in this story what I really enjoyed about this one was the danger element. Now the heroine's life was in danger, which is why I was okay with the secret baby trope and she did have to do some work to work things out with the hero which I enjoyed. If there is a secret baby, the heroine NEEDS to do some groveling. Now it was a short grovel as its a novella but it wasn't a horrible one done. I really liked the setting of the story of them reconnecting in a cabin up in the woods that was super remote. It allowed them to work through their issues and having the heroine have time to come clean about the past. And there was some solid steam implemented as well.

I really had a fun time with this one. It was such a short fun adventure to delve into this one here. It was just so enjoyable to get into this one here. I really had a blast with it here. And definitely eager to get back to this author as I haven't read her since she went self pub although can I say she is doing good work with these covers matching what she had with a trad publisher! So Bravo to this author in writing such a wonderful novella that was a pure delight.

 Introduction
The Duke's Rules of Engagement is the 1st book in a new series by Jennifer Haymore. Jennifer Haymore was once one of my all time favorite historical authors. I just adored the charm that she delivered in her books. I think readers that love historical romance will really enjoy this story. I really enjoyed the story as a whole. I do kinda wish that I had read this physically instead of audio format. I think with historical's I want to just listen to the beginning and once I am into it then switch to physically reading it. Because I think the accents can get to be a bit too much sometimes and too distracting.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Matthew, Duke of Crestmont
The hero is a Duke, and is just wanting to get married to get his heir. He isn't interested in love. He lost his parents at a young age, and was traumatized by how his uncle always has worked on demeaning his role as a Duke and his influence with his properties and those depending on him. Which is where his motivation for getting an heir is coming from.

The Heroine: Joanna Porter
She is a matchmaker, she believes in love and wants to bring people together. When a friend of her gets put into a situation where she and the man that loves her won't be albe to find a way to be together unless she can find someone to marry one of his sisters. So when she has the Duke of Crestmont come into her office, she hatches a plan that will fit all parties. Joanna is strong and intelligent and creative.

Summary
Joanna Porter is one of the most elite matchmakers of London and with the Ton. She is well renown for her talents in making the best matches and how well they work together. But when the Duke of Crestmont shows up in her office, she knows this might be the most difficult challenge she has faced yet. There is a lot of conflict between these two from the get go. Matthew needs to marry to get an heir but Joanna is determined to make them be a love match but what she doesn't expect is that she would fall in love with her client and that when the truth comes out, Joanna will have to work at proving her genuine heart to her Duke....

My Outlook
I had a fun time with this one, I do think I probably would have enjoyed it more if it had been physically read to be honest. After the first 1/3 of the story, the accent used just became so distracting and just not fun to enjoy as a whole. But this is a common complaint for me, I used to love the British accents in historical audiobooks but lately it just seems to distract me from enjoying it as a narration to be honest. I have no clue why it has changed so much. But I found the plot of the story to be such a delight. It was so wonderful to see the way it was developed throughout the story. And if you enjoy the more "forbidden" feels to a story then it will really work for you. I was charmed by the story but didn't quite fully connect with the romance itself.

Overall View
I found the Duke's Rules of Engagement to be a stunning story that was endearing in its quaint historical charm with some light touches of laughter and notes of the forbidden. Eager to see this author develop this series.

Introduction
I will be honest in that I don't think that there is anything that I could ever say in this review that could ever bring this story to true justice. This book was so overwhelming but in good ways. I was so easily caught up in this beautiful storytelling of this powerful romance. I will be honest in that I am wishing I hadn't taken so long to read this one but at the same time I felt like I read this one right at the perfect time. There is so much I want to say about this one. I would first like to say that this is a story that you will easily fall head over heels in love with and will easily capture your heart!

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Archer Hale
Archer is a silent brooding mute male, that lives in seclusion in a small Maine town on the coast. He suffered trauma as a child, and still is working through his past. He is a strong silent hero that will capture your attention from the first meeting

The Heroine: Bree Prescott
Bree is on the run of sorts. After she suffered from a assault and losing her father she needed time and space away from everything that she knew. She goes on a drive and ends up in a small town in coastal Maine, and finds a promise of peace and healing in the place she least expected to find it.

Summary
When Bree Prescott arives to Pelion, Maine she is suffering from regular nightmares and unable to find any peace from her recent trauma and she finds a promise of peace in a moment with a dandelion. She stumbles into a sexy silent brooding stranger whose eyes hold her attention and captivates her. What starts out as a slow building friendship turns into a fierce captivating love between Bree and Archer Hale. Archer is a practical outcast in the town, he is mute and has a painful past he would much rather forget but then he has to face his demons when he falls hard for this beautiful stranger whose kind smile and compassionate heart makes him believe in love and life again. But there are demons that Archer and Bree will need to face before they can embrace the beautiful horizon that is in store for them...

My Outlook
I have NO words for Archer's Voice I absolutely adored everything that this book delivered and more. No wonder its on all the favorite's list, its so well deserved and more! I was completely captivated from the beginning by this story. At first I was like oh this seems like a sweet story but with each chapter I became more and more captivated by it and I just didn't want to put this masterpiece down. My heart will always be with Archer and Bree and their beautiful romance that just had my emotions all over the place.

From the beginning you sense how intense their relationship is but the way that the author built the story was just right. The character growth was so flawless and just fit so right with their personalities. Its not often that I can say I loved the heroine 100%, but in this book, yeah she was just right. I related so much with her, but the way in which she treats Archer was so healthy in many ways. I love a non toxic heroine and she had such a honest portrayal of what a heroine should be. And we need more heroines written like this one in this story. Bree was just what Archer needed to bring him out of his shell and start to believe in himself and what he is capable of.

Now the hero, Archer Hale, will always have my heart from this moment on! There was something so beautiful in his character. His honesty was so refreshing and his personal growth was so electrifying in so many ways. As a reader, you just get a glimpse of his potential and what he is capable of, and seeing him grow, learn and adapt was such a wonder. He is literally one of the book boyfriends of world wonders of the romance world!

The romance between Archer and Bree was absolute perfection! The growth in the relationship and how they slowly grow together just felt just right in every way. Its that dream relationship that you hope to have with your partner one day. Mia Sheridan wrote such a story that portrayed all the wonderful aspects of a romantic relationship that fit just right in every way. Not saying that Archer or Bree are perfect, but they grow together and have open honest intentions towards each other but are also willing to admit when they make mistakes, willing to listen to each other without judgment and move on together as a team. Seeing they build their relationship as a true partnership was a remarkable experience and I felt so humbled throughout the reading of this one.

The only downside to the book is the paperback cover. While it does relate to the story in a very real way, I much prefer the other sexy one haha

Overall View
Archer's Voice is a captivating journey of the hope of the future, the development of healing one's heart and the growth in embracing your journey in life, and the power that love has to make all the difference! ABSOLUTELY A TREASURE OF A ROMANCE!

Introduction
The Lone Wolf's Rejected Mate is the third installment in the "Five Packs" series and this was utterly delightful. If you are familar with this author's writing style, then you will get a kick out of her latest installment. I wouldn't say that these books are the best PNR out there, but they are different and entertaining. There is a sense of forbidden and tormented in these books and its quite an adventure that author takes the reader on in getting them to explore the world and fascinating plot points.

The Main Protagonists

The Hero: Darragh
Darragh, is a lone wolf of the pack. He is a wolf that keeps many secrets especially from his own mate. There are secrets that he keeps and a past he keeps closed off about, as it could threaten everything and everyone he seeks to protect.

The Heroine: Mari
Mari is content in being the lower end of the pack and then she meets her mate and she becomes a woman willing to fight for her mate and for what she fairly deserves even if that means putting her life at risk for a chance to be with her mater forever...

Summary
Our story starts off when our hero and heroine first realize that they are mates and everything seems to be hopeful for their future but when it becomes apparent that there is more going on with Darragh, and he starts closing himself off from Mari, she wonders if she will be ever worthy of being someone that a mate would want to fight for. But now its been four years later, and there is still this rising tension between Darragh and Mari. But when his enemies threaten everything that could destroy them both, they will have to learn to rely on each other to be what they need but also learn to trust in each other as well as their wolves and their mating bond.

My Outlook
I honestly had such a blast with this one. I am not sure if this one would be my favorite, I still have such a soft spot for the first book to be honest. BUT this one was just as wonderful as I was expecting from it. It was interesting to see our lone wolf's story be grown in this story here. I was so curious to see how Mari would be the rejected mate. It was very fascinating to see these two very distinct personalities but at the same time they just balance each other out in all of the right ways. I had such a wonderful experience getting to know their story and these two so well. Their journey was such an adventure and the way in which the hero rejects the heroine, I was actually for. Its a very good reason and it makes sense why he rejects her. I didn't need a big grovel and as you read this one you come to realize he is doing it all for her and to keep her safe. I truly admired the way in which the author developed the plot and the way their relationship actually builds. Its definitely rocky at the very beginning, but as you read further into the story, the author lays out these building blocks to their relationship that only deepens their connection and the way that they find their way to their happy ever after was brilliant and I was hooked all the way through. Very excited to see what the author has in plan for the next book.

Overall View
I found The Lone Wolf's Rejected Mate to be a stunning addition to a fascinating world that is captivating and so unique in the details. Its definitely worthy of your attention if you are a fan of supernatural romance including shifters and unique pack dynamics.

Introduction
Undertow is the second book in the "Coastal Elite" series by Sam Mariano. I was first introduced to this book by Jenn@ The Book Refuge. And I just knew that I had to jump into this one. Now I will say that you do NOT need to read the first book to read this one. But from the author notes, you will need to read it before the third book is released. Which I do plan on doing, as I hear it's really amazing and one of the author's best books. Undertow is nothing like what I have read previously by this author. It was sexy but the emotion and romance itself was soft, poignant and sweet!

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Hayden Atwater
Hayden, is a widower, a single father and mature in his age. He is a seasoned lawyer with a reputation of getting things done as a defense attorney. He is hot in bed, but sweet and protective outside of it. I would term the hero a alphamellow.
The Heroine: Gemma Cane
Gemma, is a single mother, a belly dancer and teacher. She has a teenage daughter, never married. She is strong and sassy and will do anything to protect her daughter.

Summary
In this installment, we have Gemma, who is being bullied by the neighborhood to leave as its obvious they don't have the wealth and prestige as others in the neighborhood. Her daughter is a teenager. When she gets threatened by a neighbor, she decides enough is enough. Then she goes out to seek help from a well-known lawyer, Hayden, but when his fee is too high for her, she is shocked when he offers a date instead. Through a set of events, Hayden, realizes what Gemma and her daughter have been going through and seeks to get to the bottom of it only to realize his son, the child of his beloved late wife, has been a bully to Gemma's daughter. And now he will have his work cut out for him to prove to Gemma his intentions are genuine and sincere.
My Outlook
I absolutely adored this book; it was such a delightful read! There was so much goodness in this one and was NOT what I was expecting from this author. Of course, I only have "Untouchable" as a reference so it's not like I have read her other books so to be honest I am not sure if she has written other books like this one. However, I fell so hard for this one. And honestly was such an endearing romance with a pining hero. I wasn't a fan of the ending, but I have a feeling the third book is going to really show more of their story, at least I hope so. I really adored both characters, they both are such good people. The hero is more alpha leaning but has such a soft side for the heroine. The way in which he is so protective of Gemma and her daughter just delivered all the feels to me. I think fans of light bully romance, or just regular contemporary romance will really enjoy this one. So I recommend it to any fan of regular adult contemporary romance with single parents as a focus.

Overall View
Undertow was a delightful installment that had me going all soft and gooey on the inside from the get go. Its a story that will surprise you by its heart, honest intention and deliverance of powerful characters to steal your heart!

Introduction
Moonlighter is the first book in the duo series by Sarina Bowen. I have really neglected this author of late, but when I saw this one available in my library's digital catalog, I just knew that I had to grab it up and I am so happy that I did too. It immediately drew me into the story. Moonlight is a combination of themes that I think only Sarina Bowen could actually make work. It was delicious in the way that she drew this couple together and it delivers in a mix of factors that fans of this author will truly enjoy

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Eric Bayer
Eric Bayer, is a professional Hockey player. He is recovering from a knee injury and his sport is his life. He has had little interest in getting involved in his family's business.

The Heroine: Alex
Alex, is a sassy intellectual heroine that has had to work order to gain the respect of her peers. She is on the verge of releasing an AI device, and her ex assaulted her and there is a target on her back by an unknown source.

Summary
Eric is enlisted by his brother when there is a woman's life in danger, and not just any woman, a woman he was once best friends with as a teenager. But now Eric and Alex are full fledged adults, and Alex doesn't even recognize them at their first meeting. But when Eric becomes aware of Alex's situation, he reluctantly agrees to pose as the boyfriend to draw their enemy out. And as Alex and Eric work together in trying to find out who is after her, there is also a budding relationship that is becoming rebuilt over time between them, but while Eric is on board with Alex, Alex is busy with her project and creation and doesn't want the distraction that Eric offers her. But Eric is determined to prove to Alex that they are worth fighting for.

My Outlook
I will be honest in that I had NO clue what I was really getting into with this one. I just went into it blindly. Its been so long since I read a Sarina Bowen and I had forgotten how entertaining her writing can be. I just found these two so captivating and just easily drew me into it. I absolutely adored both characters. They both were so delightful. I really understand where they each were coming from. This also has a unique take on accidental pregnancy that I think will work for most readers. As no the hero is NOT the father, but from her ex. I really found this element put in different. Normally we don't see that type of aspect for a "Accidental Pregnancy" trope. I was drawn into the banter that is implemented. I absolutely adore it and it had me so charmed by the characters and the humor just added the right touch where this book will work for readers that enjoy either a serious toned story or are more romantic comedy type of readers for romance.

I want to say that I wanted to love this one more than I actually did. Not saying that I didn't like it. Because I really enjoyed it. But the pacing quality was all over the place and the heroine was going hot and cold with the hero and I didn't like the "cold shoulder" she would give him just because of other impressions people may have on her. I understood her motivations, I just didn't think the hero did anything to deserve her scorn at times. I am picky when it comes to the heroine, and even though I understood her in some ways, I just didn't agree with how she acted because the hero was GLORIOUS! He was such a gentleman and sexy and had such a caring strong heart.

The plot of the story was so interesting though. I was easily drawn into it here. I actually really enjoyed the growth of the story line that is implemented. It was SO different than anything that I have read from this author so far and I was intrigued to see where she would take it. It definitely delivered on some great strong points. I had such a delightful with the "danger" aspects to the story. It wasn't overdone and really balanced well with the lighter toned side of the romance itself and the character's bantering. If you like your suspense well balanced with the story then this story must be on your list.

I want to make mention of the ending though. The ending was just not something I enjoyed at all. I am still wondering if that was a HEA, its definitely more of a HFN. It felt so abrupt to me though, and didn't have a HEA vibe to it. Hopefully they stay together?? LOL

Overall View
I found Moonlighter to be a superb story that delivered a balance of suspense and light contemporary romantic fun that is guaranteed to curl your toes and bring a warm smile to your face! Definitely a keeper and one I would recommend to others.

Fractured Sky is the fifth installment in the Tattered and Torn series by Catherine Cowles. I am so sad yet happy to have gotten to the final installment of the series. I was super nervous about reading this one, as its one of the more popular installments out of the whole series. I really enjoyed the way in which the author implemented this story. I knew that it would be a emotional roller coaster, but she just rocked this book in all of the best ways. I just couldn't get enough of this one here.

In Fractured Sky we have two people that come together who have both experienced various forms of trauma and abuse and are working on healing themselves. They find an affinity in helping damaged horses heal from abusive previous owners and find new homes for them. Seeing these two lost souls find such intimacy together and a solid relationship was so riveting. I just loved each step that these two took together in their journey in embracing a romantic relationship. The kinship that they feel towards each other is so relevant and they are able to just able to connect in a way they have never been able to before. The self discovering and connection is the soul of the story and just takes your breath away.

I truly adored this installment and I think its my favorite of the series. There was something so much "more" to this one than what we see in the previous books. I adored how their romance develops. They definitely haven't had it easy, that is for sure. I was on board with seeing them grow together in such a pivotal way. The small quiet moments that bind them together and how they are able to heal in their own ways and come together. There are some suspense elements but it doesn't detract from the romance aspects, its more of a backstory.

Overall I found Fractured Sky to be a vibrant and soul aching romance that is completely riveting from beginning to end and captures the heart so wonderfully!
