For many years Max has wanted revenge against Etienne Sagesse, who ruined both himself and his family. Lysette, is willing to do anything to get away from her fiancee, since she knows anything would be better than being married to him. What she didn't know is how far Max would go for his revenge, and when she ends up falling in love with him she wonders what he will find more precious...the love they share or exacting his revenge that he has always wanted....When Stranger's Marry, is the updated version of Only In Your Arms. Its been a very long time since I have had the chance to read this one, since I read it many years ago, so it was good to re read it again. There were many things that I found that I just loved about this book. I think one of the many things, is that even though on the surface Lysette seems naive and young, she has great strength and courage, and knows that even though Max is hiding things from her, she still has faith in him, which is remarkable from the way they interact with each other in the beginning of the story. As the story line progresses though we see how good Max and Lysette are for each other. Max is very ALPHA, to the extreme at times, but also has a protective and gentle nature toward Lysette as well. It was good to see how the plot started to unravel, with its ups and downs, twists and turns, that could make one dizzy at times. Overall I really enjoyed this one, I think the flow could have been a little more smoother but other than that I really enjoyed reading this. Its one of those type books, that you can just immerse yourself in, sit before a fire or on the beach, and enjoy the ride.
When a brutal attack on Wulf the Ruthless's land, killing his wife and unborn child, vowing vengence on the Danes. However when his brother brings a woman Reyna the Dane, he is mystified by her beauty, but also recognizes her as a woman during a raid he found raped and sold her, but Reyna has never forgotten that horrific day where every good in her life was taken away. After being brutally raped and then sold to a sultan, but then given to Wulf as his slave, she never has forgotten what he did to her. Assuming that Wulf the Ruthless was the one that raped her, she knows she can never give in to the delicious sensations she feels from his kisses and his heated gaze. Both of these souls have been hurt but through each other they can find the healing balm for their hearts. But will their hatred make them blind to a beautiful love that is right beneath their noses, or will they choose to fully embrace it and find the most valued love that will last forever?
Viking Warrior is another win for Connie Mason in my mind. This was such a exquisite romance, that I could never put this one down! I have enjoyed reading from this author, but since this is a newly book acquired from the library, I knew I had to read it, especially since I love any story involving Vikings!!! We have Reyna, who on one brutal day was raped and sold, never to hear from her family that she loved dearly, but still have a hope that they are still alive. When she see's Wulf the man she thinks rapes and sells her, she has such a bitter hatred for him. But when she realizes the truth and that he never did, she starts to fall under his seductive kisses and give in to the desire that pulls at her. Wulf, after losing his wife and unborn child to the Danes, has a difficult time with a Dane slave in his household. But her beauty and healing talents cause him to waver that all Danes are bad. As passions escalate between Wulf and Reyna, they both without realizing it start to heal their battle wounds and embrace the more current feelings they share for each other, feelings that can only strengthen them and not burden them. This was a remarkable story taken back through time to the age of the Vikings, and will whirl you away into adventure, romance, and remarkable characters that will blow you away with delight!

I truly enjoyed this one, I have just recently discovered Flora Speer, and have enjoyed her way of writing. It flows smoothly and she charms her way into her readers hearts through her tempting plots , and her characters are endearing, and had be turning the pages as fast as I could read them. Gina feeling alone in the world, is sent back in time, and finds the one man that can complete her fully. She is able to learn to trust and to go down the road of true enduring love. Dominick, after being betrayed by his past wife, finds it hard to trust any woman anymore, however Gina is different from any other one he has ever met. She fills a whole within him, and he realizes that their love is worth any risk. To say what this book was in one word is: Enchanting (through and through)

I have always had such a fun time reading this author, especially when it involves her time travel books, so I was a bit surprised to find that this one didn't have one ounce of time travel. A historical set in the Dark Ages. I will warn you that the viking slang does take some getting used to, and is probably the reason I had a trying time getting into it at first, but once I fully adjusted I started to really enjoy it, and it was hard to put down at times. There was such a chemistry between Drifa and Sidroc, and even though they are almost at each others throats quite a bit, there is also much more to their relationship.
Sidroc Guntersson has recently lost his wife, and so his baby daughter needs him. Sidroc is very insistent that she survive. His father would like nothing better than to toss her out on the doorstep, but Sidroc knows that he will need to remarry in order to gain wealth he needs and a mother for his child. So when he hears that King of Stoneheim still has one daughter unmarried, he decides to try to court her and marry her. Princess Drifa at first is enamored with Sidroc, he is handsome and charming, and makes her warm all over, so she decides to accept his suit, until she learns that all he needs her for is for his daughter and for the money he would attain if he were to marry her. So she swings a pitcher across his head, and it ends up doing quite a bit of damage and he is unconscious for six weeks. He wakes to find Drifa gone with her sisters on a trip so he ends up leaving to go after his daughter only to find her gone so he leaves to build a new life for himself. Drifa is enraged when she hears of Sidroc's plot, but when she hears of his infant daughter, she decides to go after her and bring her back to Sidroc. When she returns she learns he is gone, and endeavors to find him. Now its been five years, and when she heads down to Byzantium, and is shocked to find him again. Now their mutual passion for each other has risen, and despite danger surrounding them at every turn, it will taking fully trust to defeat those that would tear them apart.
Sidroc is your typical viking, arrogant, confident, too good looking for his own good, and loves a beautiful woman in his bed. I found him to be very believable and fully authentic and so HOT you will need a fan to cool yourself down. Drifa I found to be a very endearing heroine, and I liked her immediately, and she has such courage and tenacity that is very admirable. She doesn't back down from Sidroc and I enjoyed seeing the chemistry build between the two characters.
I found this one to be a fun and adventurous tale that takes you back to the Viking Era, and shows a more sensual side to that time. I enjoyed the in depth characters, and the fun humor that keeps you laughing from beginning to end. I will warn you that the slang can be a bit much but if you give it time, you adjust to it, and it becomes a entertaining and enough intense conflict with the plot to keep you on edge at times. SATISFYINGLY ENJOYABLE!!!

Its been a little while since I have been able to read from this author. In the past all of the books that I have read from this author have been with native american's, so it was very neat to have a different setting. I received this through the open library online. My own public library has very few books by this author, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read this one. I absolutely adored this book. There was such a strong connection instantly between Ian and Thalia, I also enjoy the kind of story line that was in play here. I have always enjoyed a good historical that involved Australia. There was such excitement and adventure that was put into this story, it almost felt like I was there. The descriptions of the surrounding and the characters were done in a way that totally had me hooked from beginning to the end. It was very easy to fall in love with this story, and only took a few paragraphs into the story before I got hooked. There was also such a gentle way that Ian was with Thalia. He wasn't fully over the top alpha male type. He was tough and gritty but also was very tender and sweet at times with Thalia. Thalia at first lives in fear and doesn't have much of a backbone, but eventually it does kick in and I came to the point where I admired her. She turned out to be feisty and spirited and protective, and I loved how well this story was written and the way things turn out in the end. It was very emotional and at times I was almost crying it was so intense at different times. A lovely story that is full of sensual passion, sexy hero, and a roller coaster of a read. I would fully recommend this to anyone that enjoys a strong historical romance!! OUTSTANDING!

"So be it," Ian said, grabbing her roughly into his arms, his insides melting as her breasts crushed against his chest. "I'll return you to your husband." He wove his fingers through her hair and drew her lips cloase. "But I have something to give you first. When you are in your husband's arms, think of this!"
His mouth seized her in a hard, long kiss, his tongue probing her lips apart.

Christian, has just become the Duke of Scarborough when his older brother passes away suddenly, after losing most of everything they had to gambling. Christian has been gambling most of his life, but unlike his brother, he knows the game well, and has the greatest luck to have never lost a fortune to it. When Annabel's uncle comes to him with a proposition, if he can convince her to cancel the wedding, he will give Christian half a million, which is enough to start to rebuild what his brother lost in a card game. What Christian didn't expect was to find love or a woman that would break the ice around the walls of his heart.
I was really excited to get my hands on this newest addition to Laura Lee Guhrke's books. I have just loved every one of her stories, they always capture my attention from the beginning. Even though this wasn't my favorite of hers, I still enjoyed it quite a bit, and before I knew it I was done with it, so it did fly by pretty quick, and was a easy engaging read. Set in the early 1900's which is a bit different from her other books, but I liked the era she chooses which is the Edwardian Era, which is a later era than she usually does. However I found I enjoyed the set of the scene in the beginning. It starts out in New York City, then progresses onto a ship headed for England, and it only gets better. There was a instant chemistry between this couple that I found sizzling yet tender at times as well. There was enough steam to fog your windows in the classic way that Guhrke writes her books. The story line was fun and definitely had some shocks that will fire up your nervous system. Christian is handsome, total rake, and doesn't deny it, he is proud of it except for the fact that he hides who he really is behind that facade. Christian has certain vulnerabilites that just sung to me in a real way, my heart just broke for him, he won me over almost instantly. Annabel is very spirited and knows what she wants, she also has certain weaknesses at well, that only appealed to me. I did find her a bit over the top at times, but overall I tended to like her. She definitely stirs things up and I liked how she puts Christian off kilter in such a delightful way that was very amusing at various times throughout the story.
Overall I found Trouble At The Wedding, a great additon to a full of life series that just steals your breath away. Charming characters, sensual chemistry, endearing set of cirumstances and a plot that will take you on a adventure that spans from New York to London. A breath of fresh air and I couldn't help but adore this story. A WINNER in my book!

Bia, is a princess, but when she was a girl her parents were murdered by terrorists who were after their country, and she barely made it out of there alive. She was raised in the states, by her bodyguard, who was more like a father to her. What I really admired about Bia is her determination to save what is left of her family. She is strong willed, passionate, intelligent and driven. She beautiful both on the inner part of herself and on the outside. Her personality was easy to be endeared to, and I loved the way she fights for what she believes in. She has this zest for life that is contagious.
Riptide is the second book in this quartet of brothers. Riptide is Nick's story. In this story, we have quite a bit that happens in this story and I savored every moment that Cherry Adair gives us. The more I read this author, the more I get hooked on her writing style. She has a way of being addicting and I get drawn into the story. I was quite drawn into Undertow from the beginning scene. Where we see how determined each character is, and I loved the way that they interact which was quite amusing. This scene is captivating and draws the reader immediately into the story. We see a intense level of mystery and danger. What I found quite unique, is seeing the plot unravel and reveal some sub plots that you don't expect to find. I felt a thrilling excitement in reading this story and I found myself more and more intrigued and fascinated with each plot development and the depth of characteristics that becomes revealed.
This is a story that was quite addicting, and I love how this author sweeps me away into a story of adventure, danger and passion!!! A STORY OF THRILLS!!

Jabril is the second installment in the Vampires in America series. I have recently become a new fan of this author. This story is a continuation of the first book, "Raphael", but there is more focus on Cyn than Raphael. From the beginning here, Raphael and Cyn haven't seen each other in weeks. Cyn goes to Texas on assignment for a vampire "Jabril", little does she know how cruel he is or how warped his fascination with her would be. I enjoyed seeing more character from Cyn and seeing her capabilities. We see a side of her more in depth than we did in "Raphael". We see how resourceful she is, and the courage she has against the worst odds. Jabril is a insane and psychotic vampire leader, and this book has a lot of focus on his obsession with Cyn and the two sisters she is trying to save from him. There is quite a level of suspense in this story, and the reunion of Raphael and Cyn is priceless. I enjoyed seeing their relationship progress further especially after the ending of the first one. Jabril is a fascinating and intense tale of sacrifice and love. Definitely can't wait to read more of this series. Thanks to ImaJinn books and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this wonderful vampire romance that swept me away instantly!! A GEM OF PARANORMAL ROMANCE!!
