Summary
Puck Redhouse has just been released from prison, protecting his club and all of his brothers from their enemies that would destroy them. Its been a long fourteen months and now he is free and just earned his patch that he worked long and hard for. Now its time to celebrate, and he finds Becca Jones, a woman who is shy but classically beautiful, and he wants her. He has her in a passionate night, but then he realizes that not everything is as it seems. He learns something shocking about her, and frees her from a prison of abuse and takes her with him back to Silver Valley. But he has to wait for her to grow up, a girl who needs to grow into a woman..his woman. Puck has watched over her for five years, and now he can’t resist her any longer, he must have her finally…if she wasn’t so willful and stubborn …now he must convince her that he is sincere no matter what it takes.
The Hero
Puck Redhouse, grew up in the club, his father a member, and its the only life he has ever known. Loyalty is everything to him and he will die for it. Puck knows exactly what type of person he is, and even though he aches for Becca, he knows he could never be worthy of someone so good and pure. He is tough, a pure alpha male, domineering and commanding in every way, and at times he seems to be your typical bad ass biker type. But as you see him underneath the surface, you see the honor he has, and his dedication to his brothers. He is true to himself, doesn’t hide anything, isn’t ashamed of what he has had to do to protect.
The Heroine
Becca has become a self sufficient strong-willed woman. But it wasn’t an easy road for her. She grew up with a mom that was a bikers whore and did anything for drugs. And her step father pimped her out at twelve, and all she has ever known is abuse and being treated less than who she really is. A strong and passionate woman. She meets Puck when she is only sixteen, but he treats her with such gentleness and care that she has never known before, he protects her and saves her from a life in hell. Now its been five years, she is almost done with school, has her own place, and loves her independence and paving her own life. She wants Puck, but also knows that being with him could be very dangerous. I loved Becca…she is feisty and strong and I love seeing how hard she works to be herself and not let her past bring her down. I loved her passion in everything she did, and her will to fight for a good life.
Plot and Story Line
Silver Bastard is the first book in a new series by Wylde, however despite that its a new series, not really, it does relate with the Reapers and we do some characters from that series which was quite fun to see. And now I want to re read that series again. Well with Silver Bastard Wylde has captured me once again. This is no light and carefree love story…its tough and gritty and really put you through some tension as you read…but what marvelous tension it is. From the beginning you know its going to be a tough romance to read…but by the end you are fully satisfied with the biggest meal you have ever eaten. From the beginning we see that things are not as they seem. At first we see some strong sparks between Puck and Becca, but you also sense something more to Becca, that her life is not what it seems. After we have quite a steamy night of hot sex and sheets, the next morning you are in for a shocker, because you learn certain things about what Becca’s life really is like, and the possessive and protective male instincts that ride Puck hard…where he takes her from her horrible life and to a life of freedom and independence. Then we jump to five years later, where Puck is a valid member of his club, trying to work out some problems they are dealing with one of their enemies, and all while trying to decide what he should do with Becca…when all he truly wants is to claim her as his old lady. Becca however wants more than just sex from Puck, she wants a normal life, she doesn’t want to turn into her mother, a whore and nothing else. She wants more from her life, to be strong and have a husband and children. But we start to see how a jealous Puck reacts to that, and not well. We aspects of a biker clubs life, and the day-to-day problems, we see two people who are in love and just don’t realize it, and see them struggle and muddle through it and try to figure out a relationship.
The Cover
Whew….this might be my favorite cover from this author. They are all so great, but I love his pose…hunched over the chair, with those sculpted shoulders and arms….delicious enough to lick…don’t y’all think?

I received a ARC copy in exchange for an honest review, thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebook Casablanca
I had high expectations of When A Rake Falls, but this is the first book I have had the opportunity to read from this author. I had seen some high ratings and reviews, so I was pretty excited to start this one. But I had the most difficult time getting into it. I don’t know if it was just me or I was in the mood for something more engaging. I would say that this is a story that had some quirky moments and a few scenes that were pretty fun to read. But as a whole, I wouldn’t say it was the type of story that I was necessarily in the mood for. I did enjoy the characters, and the plot was pretty steady and had many enjoyable qualities to it, but I just couldn’t see the romance in this one. I could see the friendship building the two, but the actual romantic relationship I just could never really connect with. For me it was like they went from being friends to loving each other and I didn’t see the transition at all. I wanted to, I really wanted to love this one, but it just didn’t happen. I found the story to have great humor, and some entertaining characters, and even though it wasn’t my favorite romance to read, I do plan on reading the first book and maybe I will enjoy it more.

When Rose Thornton sees the advertisement for a cook for six men, she decides to take George Randolph on his offer, after he rescues her one day at work. So not realizing what she was in for, she goes to the homestead and was shocked to see what she would have to deal with, concerning the Randolph men. When she arrives, the place is a pigsty, and wonders how any of them could live like this. There is George, the oldest. Then there is Jeff, the twins: Monty and Hen, Tyler, and the younger and still a child, Zac, who captures her heart from the first day. But out of all the brothers, it is George, whom she finds herself drawn to despite the circumstances that surround them, with their fathers having fought on both sides of the war. But despite all that, there is a sizzling fire between George and Rose, that starts to turn into love, what neither of them expected to find.
Rose is the first in the Seven Brides Series, written by Leigh Greenwood. I can't count how many times I have read this book, I just love love love reading it, so I thought it was about time that I read it and do a review for it. So here I am. Leigh Greenwood is one of my favorites to read from if I am looking for a good American Western romance, and is a male author, which suprised me at first, since there aren't too many male romance authors, that I actually know of, so its truly a delight to find such a talented one. Every time I pick up Rose, I can't force myself to put it down, I just love it so much. I just love the idea of one woman civilizing six brother (technically seven, but Madison doesn't show in this book) and can hold her own. Definitely my type of heroine, and the hero is the classic tortured, planning to never marry type, but knows deep down its inevitable. So as far as a classic western romance, Rose hits the roof! Just loved it!

Summary
Christopher, the Viscount Spencer, has many activities he would rather be doing than be searching for a bride. He knows because of his position and title, that he will need to marry and have an heir, but is content waiting a while longer. There hasn’t been a woman to stir his interest until he meets Lady Sarah. When they meet in the conservatory searching for her pet hamster, he is intrigued, and she is so different from any other miss he has ever met before. Sarah’s life is not her own. Due to a past mistake, she knows that she can never marry someone of her own choosing. Even though the man her father has chosen for her is crude and despicable, she knows she doesn’t have a choice in her life anymore. But then she meets Christopher, and she finds a man who could she laugh and play with, a man who could make her forget who she is and enjoy the moment. But Sarah knows that if he were to ever learn of her true circumstances and her past, that he wouldn’t want her and would never risk disgracing herself in such a way, but when one is in love, you have to take a leap of faith in the man you love…
The Hero
Christopher is quite happy with having a mistress and enjoying the more sensual delights instead of looking for a wife, and despite the constant nagging from his parents and his sisters, he refuses to give in until he is good and ready. Christopher doesn’t want marriage until Sarah catches his eye and then he will do anything to get her away from her soon to be fiancée. Christopher was such a lovely hero, strong and sweet. He is quite the protective hero, I loved his closeness to his family, and how protective he is of Sarah, and even though there were some parts of the story that I felt he could have been more supportive, you see him in a very human realistic way, a man that admits when he is wrong, and I loved how he is true to his character and doesn’t hold himself back.
The Heroine
Sarah, once thought she was in love, and ruined herself, when the man she thought she loved turned out to be a blackguard. Now she is ruined in the eyes of her father and step mother, and they are desperate to have her off their hands and set up an agreement with a horse rancher, but the man she is supposed to marry disgusts her. She wonders how she can go through with it, with no other option available to her. Sarah is a heroine I grew to admire, she proved to be quite strong-willed, and what backbone…especially in the end. She proves that she deserves more than to just be a broodmare. I love her creativity and her sense of self, and her need to play and have fun with life.
Plot and Story Line
Every time I read a book by Sophie Barnes, I always know that I will have a fun time, but this latest book had a different feeling to it, but what a fantastic read this turned out to be, and it surprised me how much I loved it. This is the first book in her newest series, this series takes place at Thorncliff Manor, a huge estate, and focuses on one family and each of the siblings’ stories. The first book is Christopher’s story. We see the bantering back and forth between himself and his siblings, and what a lovely family this is. They all have affection for each other, and his siblings is different from the other, you see the difference of opinion, and I can hardly wait for the second book now. This story was quite emotional at times, and I loved Christopher and Sarah together, and struggling for a way to find their HEA. I can promise you it does happen, so no worries, but they do have some hills and valley to get through before they get there. What I loved most about this story was the tender and sweet love story. It’s very light as far as sexual scenes, we have more focus on the emotional building of their relationship, which is quite necessary. They do have some sparks, and boy when they kiss…watch out or you may get burned. But due to certain circumstances of the heroine, you see how the way the plot unravels is quite needed at times, and I loved seeing them come together in such a poignant manner that evokes quite a few emotions I wasn’t expecting. We also see quite a bit of strong development in growth of characters…especially in our heroine. Where she decides to stand up to her family and choose her own fate and not one that suits them easier. Quite frankly I couldn’t stand her family, they were horrid to her, and treated her quite poorly just because she made a mistake, and they knew the why and how. But I enjoyed seeing Sarah find a man who would love and appreciate her for who she is underneath and I loved that quality to the story.
The Cover
Now who wouldn’t love this cover? And its perfect for this time of year right? I just loved the manor in the back, and the “spring” feel of colors and what a dress….and the male model….mmm delicious…I just can’t enough of the half shirt open…quite the teaser.

Summary
Eve has always been in love with Connor, ever since high school, but he has never acknowledged her as more than his wife’s best friend. Now her best friend is dead, with two little children without a mother, and Connor, back from the military, fighting to keep custody of his children. Eve loves her work, and has a passion for horses, but when her father makes a deal with his son Matt, to take over the ranch, she realizes that she and her two sisters will soon be kicked off, and she has 22 wild horses in need of a home. Connor has faced quite a bit in his life, after serving in the military, and he is back now and facing the biggest battle….getting his children back. He loves his children and will do anything to keep them. When he sees Eve again, he offers her a deal, marry him and she will have a place on his ranch to put her wild mustangs and study and photograph them to her heart’s content. Both Connor and Eve have loved each other for quite some time, and Connor adored his first wife, but Eve is something more, and will do whatever he can to keep her in his life…
The Hero
Connor is a military hero. He is a Flynn, fought for years in the military. But when he comes home and retires his wife has an accident and he is now a widower with two young children to raise, two children that barely know him. Now he is in a custody battle against his late wife’s parents. He has recently set up a ranch for veterans, to come to a place that offers peace and quiet, a ranch in the countryside that offers them healing. But he has one secret, he has been in love secretly with Eve, who is “forbidden fruit” to him. Her father and his father hate each other, and both families despise each other. Its been a feud for years, but Connor doesn’t care what his family thinks…he loves Eve and will have her. What a character Connor is, quite different from the rest of his family. He is protective, a family man, honorable and loyal. The perfect cowboy and knows how to give good lovin’.
The Heroine
Eve Greyhawk, is known as one of the “King’s Brats” and even though they have had a home on their daddy’s ranch, each of them have worked on their own careers. Eve adores horses, is a professional photographer, and could soon be working for “National Geographic”. She has just rescued a herd of wild horses, horses that would have been bought and sliced and diced for foreign countries as “cuisine”, horses that need to roam and run free. Now it appears that she and her sisters will soon be kicked out of their home, so their father can make reparations to Matt his oldest son. When Connor makes an offer, how can she refuse sharing a life with a man she has always wanted. Eve was an endearing heroine, and I loved her. She is passionate and strong, she stands on her own and defends what she believes in. I adored her passion for saving horses, and I couldn’t help but admire her will in protecting them. She had a quality to her character that is somewhat unique, she could be both practical and emotional…she could see both sides of a situation.
Plot and Story Line
Sinful is part of Joan’s Bitter Creek series, but a bit set apart. Now most of the series focuses on the Creeds and Blackthornes…the next few books will be focusing on two feuding families….The Greyhawks and Flynn’s. Its a modern western romance. Now we have two sides we have the Flynn boys, and the King’s brats (three of them). Sinful is Connor and Eve’s story. The story starts off with Connor saves Eve from being manhandled and she testifies in court in his defense so that he can regain custody of his children back. Then we see Eve’s father make a decision where it looks like he is choosing his son over his daughters. And Eve needs to find a new home and soon. What happens here is what sets up the story more, and brings Connor and Eve together. These are two people who have loved each other from afar, and now they have a chance to be together, but they know their troubles may just beginning once they get hitched. Because they are both part of a feud, much anger and distrust between them both, but we also see the balance that Eve and Connor begin to bring to their families, and soften the hurt a bit. I do love a good feuding family story, and Joan Johnston does a spectacular job at it. She has been a favorite author of mine for quite some time, and she has written both contemporary and historical….and she just gets better. I just couldn’t get enough of “sinful”…it had a simplicity to it….but there are complex issues that she brings to life, characters that jump out at you and grab onto your heart and refuse to let go. Their romance was soft and sweet…delectable in every way. And there are definite future books coming for more of those Flynn’s and Greyhawks…and should be a wild ride.
The Cover
I have grown to adore this cover….I love the pose against the tree (which connect to the story, love it when that happens), and we see the beautiful scenery in the background…sensual and majestic.
Overall View
Sinful is a warm and sensual romance, that has spice and flavor on every page. A story to leave your taste buds salivating…delectable and tangy!! SPLENDID!!

Sinful is a warm and sensual romance, that has spice and flavor on every page. A story to leave your taste buds salivating…delectable and tangy!! SPLENDID!!
Lady Madelaine through the past years has suffered greatly at the hands of her brother, and has finally planned her escape from him. But on the day that plans on leaving her brother captures Baron Duncan of Wexton. And through a small act of kindness, an act that could have gotten her killed, she rescues him from being frozen to death, and even though Duncan knew his men were scaling the walls, in effort to locate the one woman who has landed right in his lap for the taking as revenge for what her brother did to him. So he takes Madelyne, even though she is more than willing to go along with him, but she plans to run away to find her relative that lives in Scotland. But the more time Madelyne is in her captors hands, the stronger her feelings have become towards him. A man who needs her love and her heart.Honor's Splendor is a wonderful book by Julie Garwood. It takes place in 1099 and I just love this time period, such a romantic period in history, and I love Medieval romances, and this one just took my breath away. I think I was charmed after the first chapter, I just loved how Madelyne saves the one man that is determined to take her captive, even though she really doesn't mind it as long as he takes her away from her brutal brother. We see a story that will make you laugh yet still end up being a tender romance that will leave you aching for more by the last page. I have truly enjoyed reading Julie Garwood's historicals, and this one I definitely want to end up buying, a well worth it read!!! A Classic romance that will pull at your heartstrings, and make you wonder where your "Wolf" is, I know I do LOL A Fabulous read!!!
My Favorite Quote
Before she could even think about pulling away, he looped the belt around her wrist and bound her hands together. And then he spoke "I didn't come for Louddon, Madelyne. I came for you"

Soon Callie will have to choose a life of on the run and living in fear, or trusting in Rand and his brothers and having faith in the love she has for him and making a stand for freedom against her enemy…
The Hero
Rand Sinclair, grew up in a orphanage, his mother abandoned him to be a actress, but was able to find two other boys, and they formed a “blood bond” a bond strong than any other bond. They support and help each other. Rand is caught between a rock and a hard place, when his mother returns and keeping trying to interrupt his calm life. Rand is a man of honor, I loved the tender way he is with Callie. He sees how afraid she is, and treats her with kindness and patience and offers her safety. I loved him as the hero, because he has a heart of gold and is so true to himself, and honorable. The perfect cowboy to win your heart.
The Heroine
Callie is a woman who has sacrificed much in her life to do the right thing. When her sister marries the wrong man, a dangerous man, a outlaw who would kill without a thought. And is determined to raise his son, Toby, to be just like him, to teach him to kill. Once her sister dies, she knows she doesn’t have a choice, she must take Toby and run, because the last thing she wants is this sweet little boy to turn into a killer. She would do anything for him. I love Callie, she is a fighter. At first she seems timid and shy, but she has lived a life of fear for quite some time, but we see her grow into something more. We see her courage and strength to stand on her own and fight for her family. I loved how determined she is, and what a lady she is. She has some secrets from her past, but she also isn’t afraid to admit her mistakes and become stronger for it.
Plot and Story Line
Twice A Texas Bride is a wonderful new installment in this series by Linda Broday. This author has become a new favorite for historical westerns…she definitely knows how to weave a beautiful love story together. I love the way she wraps it around you like a warm blanket. This is Rand’s story. There were so many good qualities to this story that made it a winner in my book. The first was the plot, exciting and full of mystery and had a certain balance of danger and passion. We see a tender love build between the characters. Its soft and sweet and so poignant you want to cry. Next are the characters. The characters are charming and win your heart. They are down to earth, they are both strong and passionate, and willing to die for their family. I love how they come together and decide to face whatever come together. Then some of the side characters are just a wonderful touch…we have the brothers of Rand…which was so great to see them again. And Brett’s story is next–the indian….(eeek….I am so EXCITED!!) Then we have Toby, what a charmer he is. His character is willful and playful and can still play despite what haunts him or what his father made him do. A boy in need of love and a safe home. This story comes down to one word: Courage….having the courage to face the danger and fight together to live in peace, safety and love.
The Cover
What a beautiful cover don’t y’all think? I mean I can hardly stand it…I wish I had this in paperback so I could look at it more!! I love the pose of the couple, with her beautiful blue dress, and the prairie background and the sun setting….soft colors and has a sweet tone to it that matches the tone of the story.
