So I didn't realize until I started reading this one, that is was a Christmas themed story. The blurb does really give that away in any way, so you don't expect it, but as I was reading, I found that the Christmas theme really added a flair to the story. This story is about Lord Claxton and Sophia, who fell in love and got married. But things went downhill very quickly, mostly judgements and miscommunication and making presumptions. Which can happen in any relationship especially in a romantic relationship. Then the book starts off after they have been estranged for almost a year. At this point the author does a bit of background information on the couple., so that you aren't at a total loss. Then they end up stuck at a manor in the country while they get snowed in, and they are forced to resolve differences. Claxton wants to reconcile with Sophia, he loves her and is willing to do anything to get her to soften toward him. Sophia is a bit stubborn like a mule, and doesn't believe there is any hope for them. All she wants is a child and then be separated for the rest of their lives. We see the ways that Claxton goes about to convince Sophia to listen to reason.

What I really enjoyed about this story, was seeing Claxton and Sophia interact with each other. They tend to get very intense with each other, and boy do they tend to say hurtful things, no wonder they are estranged...you see why they have been separated for a time. But you also see the sincere feelings that they have for each other. I found that I liked the hero way more than the heroine in this story. I found Sophia to be a bit full of herself at times, as the story progresses you see how much she has gone through, but so has Claxton, they both have been hurt, but she does have some good qualities, but I didn't really like her all that much through the story. She rubbed off me the wrong way, which was a little sad since she seemed to have great potential in the beginning. Claxton, now he was so great, I adored his character. He is a fighter especially when it comes to keeping his marriage together, I loved how he refused to give up on it, no matter how Sophia could be about it.

All in all though, this was a charming and romantic story that drew my attention. The writing is engaging and pulls the reader, the story line is simple yet complex at times, and the plot gives you some sexy twists and turns...a tender love story with a holiday twist.

I received a ARC copy in exchange for a honest review, thanks to Edelweiss and Avon Books.
Eleanor, has always been the upstanding vicar's daughter, upstanding and intelligent and always devoted to her studies. She has never crossed the line, but inside she dreams of adventures and the one man that inspires and makes her dream of wicked delights, the sexy as sin gypsy, Taliesin. Taliesin, once loved Eleanor and would have done anything for her, but then she broke his heart without even realizing it, so he left and now after eleven years, after being summoned to a wedding, he can't resist her. All he has ever wanted was Eleanor, despite the danger she causes to his fragile heart. Eleanor is on the hunt for her real parents, and Taliesin is her companion, even though he left without a word eleven years ago, she finds him irresistible, and now she has to work with him, and temptation is right before her, will she be able to resist or give into the greatest adventure of her life...

I have to say that Katharine Ashe has outdone herself in this series. Every single installment I have adored, and this final installment is no different. This story really tugged at my heartstrings from the beginning, and I had such a difficult time putting this one down. I wasn't sure at the beginning how much I would enjoy it, but I never should doubt Ashe's abilities especially when it comes to writing romances...she has done a outstanding job of creating a tale of heartwarming characters and a story to enthrall and scenes to constantly engage the reader.

It begins with a wedding of the daughter's adopted father, the Vicar of the town. When a guest appear, with those dark sensual eyes who sees within the deepest part of her, Eleanor is definitely overcome with feelings she never thought to feel again. But then she is practically coerced to have Taliesin as her companion in her search for her parents, and where they really came from. There are things we learn about Taliesin and Eleanor, a unique setting and what a fun couple. They were so unique to the series, and quite frankly I love sexy Gypsy's...a man that can get a woman to have adventure and want to spread her wings. I loved both of them as main characters, they added a certain dramatic element to the story that becomes the center of the story. I really had no complaints where they were concerned. The hero is mysterious, protective and sensual. The heroine is stubborn, strong willed and passionate...put them together and you have explosions of the nuclear nature. They definitely have chemistry but one other quality they have in common, is denying their feelings for each other. They are very insistent to go separate ways, despite how much they love each other, and what a way this story seemed to convulse and form as these two rediscovered passion together and their deep feelings for one another.

Overall a stunning and riveting romance that had me at the edge all day...a tale to not forget, of two people in need of desire and adventure and find that their dreams come true if they have faith in one another...OUTSTANDING!!

Caitlyn Marsh, fell in love with Gideon Garza, but her father drove him out of town and she believed him to be dead all these years, and she has had to raise their son all on her own, still aching for Gideon and the love that they shared. But then he appears in Twilight and like a ghost she has no idea how to handle that he has been ALIVE. Gideon was born a 'bastard' and his father and brothers never have accepted him. He was driven out of his hometown, and joined the military, but lost something precious when a bomb exploded. When he learns that his father has died, he is summoned to Twilight, and Gideon knows this is the one way to get closure from his past so that he can move on with his future. But there is one person he doesn't know he can ever get closure with and that is Caitlyn. When he learns that he has a son, and a chance to be with Caitylyn he is determined as ever to win her forever...no matter what it takes.

Oh my what a lovely romance this turned out to be. I know that I keep saying this every time I read Wilde's stories, but can I just say she has to be one of my top top TOP favorite contemporary romance authors to read from, she knows how to write the best ones, and The Welcome Home Garden Club is definitely at the top of my list. I can't believe how much I loved this one. Quite frankly I love reunion romances, especially when you have the added bonus of a child. Lori Wilde has such a beautiful way of creating truly magical stories that wraps its way around your heart and holds on forever. A beyond memorable story.

It begins with Caitlyn in Twilight, where she and other members of the "Garden Club" decide to put a carousel--the carousel that has been in her family for generations, and create a garden circling around it with a "Welcome Home" theme, so they can win a contest. Tensions are still pretty high between Caitylyn and her father, and her father, well he basically has done some awful things, but we see his side of things and how much he regrets the past and all he wants is reconciliations with his daughter, a daughter that wants nothing to do with him. I fully understood why, and I don't blame her for her harsh feelings toward her father, because of him she has had to raise her son on her own. Then the least expected happens, the man she loved more than life and thought dead has arrived back in town, and wants her back in his life. Gideon has been serving in the military, believing he would never see Caitlyn again even though he still loves her. You see even though the last thing he wants is to stay in Twilight, learning about a son he never knew about changes everything. Gideon and Caityln have some powerful sparks and they start to reconnect.

It is definitely a emotional driven story and it had me in its tender hooks from the first few chapters. You can't help but be captivated by the set up of the story, and add the authors storytelling ability...good luck putting this one down, you won't regret it. What sexy fun this one was. The heat in it is pretty light, but I was in the mood for that, and I loved the focus on the building of the relationship and it had such a charming tone to it that you are captivated. Fun, Sweet and packed with everything you need for a solid romance!! UTTERLY CHARMING!

Bettina, lost her parents when she was young, and then she was captured and tortured by the same creatures who killed her mother and destroyed her father, and now she has no choice but to trust in her guardians, who have planned a way for her to get married, a death match of the fiercest warriors, for she will be queen of the demons. There is one man she has loved more than any other, who has been her friend since she was a child, and wants more than anything to be his wife. A man that will fight with every weapon at his disposal to claim her as his for eternity. To her horror both her best friend and Trehan have entered the "till death" contest. As the fighting and competitions begins, a fire burns between Trehan and Bettina, and Bettina will have to choose between her closest friend and the man that holds her desire and her heart...

What a wild ride of dangerous paranormal elements that had me at the edge of this page turner!!! Utterly shocking and tantalizing and fierce and passionate in every way. This was one hell of a story and it has been a LONG time since I have read a story that had me so intense and I just had to read this as fast as I could. There was so much emotion and compelling characters, and this scenario that Kresley Cole has played out for us, WHEW....Ladies and Gentleman buckle your seat belts, for this is one ride you might not come out of alive if you don't watch it.

The heat between Bettina and Trehan is so HOT and I almost got burned....they sure know how to create fireworks, and with one kiss I betcha you all will need to open your windows--yes yes I know its winter, but seriously you will burn to a crisp if you don..hehehehe. These characters are so fascinating and I had such a fun time with them, there is quite depth to each of them, even the side characters. I know at first this seems like a triangle romance...but HELL NO!!! (Shaking finger...don't you guys think that way and let that be a deterrent to reading this....you will be so ashamed if you turn away from this one. Kresley Cole is a truly talented individual, who has the capacity of creating a story that is witty, smart and full on sexy. What else can you ask for? And quite frankly...you won't regret it!! I guarantee it. Just make sure you have plenty time on your hands, some delicious treats, plenty of water (by the gallons), and a nice comfy sitting arrangement, and you will be in the perfect mind frame to get the full aspect to enjoy this one to its fullest. DARING AND PASSIONATE!!

This book and series is connected to Immortals After Dark but isn't officially part of that series. I haven't read Lothaire, and even though there is some reference to him, it doesn't spoil anything from what I could tell. But boy do I need to read that one. :)

I was given a ARC copy in exchange for a honest review, thanks to Avon Books and Edelweiss for the opportunity.

Sherry Carne, never imagined that she would be drawn into a world of danger, suspense, mystery and vampires. She is busy working on her taxes, when a teen girl burst into her office, with vampires after her, and they make a run for and barely make it out of there alive. She then meets a man she will learn is her life mate, Basil Argeneau. Basil has lived for centuries, and lived when they first lived in Atlantis. Has had many children, and already had one life mate. But that was eons ago, and feels more alone than ever. He keeps busy with keeping their kind supported financially, being a member of the council, and bugging his brother Lucian. He definitely keeps himself entertained, but always goes home alone. When he is asked to guard Sherry, he finds that he can’t read her, and with other signs, he knows that she is his life mate. A woman with wit and humor, that is driven and not afraid to speak her mind. As they discover each other, and the danger circling them, there is a secret from Sherry’s past that could hinder everything.

The Immortal Who Loved Me is the 21st installment of the series. And my, I can’t believe how this series has grown. I remember when the first book came out, and Sands introduced me to vampire romance (yes before Twilight came to being), and I fell in love. Her writing is still just as phenomenal as it was back then. It is always fun to see those earlier couples take a role in the later books. And my favorite couple, Lucian and Leigh, definitely take a major role. Which I loved, and with the hero being Lucian’s brother, who definitely see that brotherly affection, and some horrible yet entertaining teasing (but Lucian so deserves it.). Well this story was quite a fun ride, and I had such an enjoyable time with this one. Now it wasn’t as good as some of the other books of the series, but I really liked seeing more of the teenage girl Samantha, and we see the old villain Leo. He still isn’t dead yet.

The characters were so good for each other, and I loved this pair. Well I have loved every pair of this series. However, I found Sherry and Basil a bit more unique. One being with how old Basil is, he is one of the oldest of their kind, and has waited hundreds of years for a life mate. And there were some twists to his character that I didn’t see coming. I won’t reveal them, but trust me; you will love him even more. Quite a hoot when Sherry learns of them though. Sherry is a heroine you can love. She is strong willed, passionate, and a fighter. I loved her spirit and her humor.

This story is a fun vampire romance, with all the humor and wit you can expect from Lynsay Sands, enough adventure and intrigue to keep you at the edge of your seat, and the writing so engaging you wonder where all the time has gone while reading. Guaranteed that you get lost in this story and fully involved in this story of romance, passion and suspense. PAGE TURNER!!

Parker Brown, is the last of the Bride Quartet, who is left that is not engaged. Parker is the wedding planner, and the organizer of the Vows. Parker is the one that makes the bride's dreams come true when it comes to weddings. Malcolm Kavanaugh is a mechanic, and a very successful businessman, and is strongly attracted to Parker, and can't forget the kiss she planted on him, but now he wants to chase after her with her long legs. So amidst all the planning and the weddings and events, Parker is dazzled by Mal's kisses who just about singed every part of her body with sensation, and knows that she could very well fall madly in love with this man who has caught her off guard with every passionate embrace and into a whirlwind of romance and the road to love....Happily Ever After is the fourth in the Bride Quartet, and I am so glad I finally got my hands on this one. I was thrilled to start reading Parker's story and Nora Roberts didn't disappoint. This would be my favorite series that she has written so far. Malcolm is the kind of character that any woman couldn't help but fall for, and I loved the 'man in the caveman' attitude he sometimes get, it made my heart skip a beat with sensation, making me wish I was Parker, instead of just the reader. There was such a delightful aspect to this story, with the way these two just fell for each other, that it was like falling in love all over again. Happy Ever After is a sensational read, with a fairy tale type romance contemporary style, a story woven with tender romance on every page, that will satisfy you until the end.

Geoffrey Fitzroy, is the second son, and enjoys everything that London has to offer. He is a appreciator of women, but has yet to meet a woman to hold his passion and heart, until he meets Serena Palmer. Serena is a exotic beauty, and grew up in India, but she has a horrific past, and Serena is determined to stay unattached and never to marry. When Geoffrey sees her at a ball, he can't resist dancing with her, but then he is captivated by Serena and how set apart she is from the others. And even though their relationship is forbidden by her grandfather, they can't seem to resist the desire they share for each other. But there are truths that Serena is keeping from Geoffrey, secrets that could destroy their bond to each other...

A Sinful Deception, is the second book in the series and does start off from where the last began. But it can be read as a stand alone if needed as well, but I would recommend if possible to read this series in order. This story is quite different from the last, as far as the set up and the characters. I really had a enjoyable time with this one. I think I enjoyed the first book a little bit more, but A Sinful Deception was quite a fun read and I had such a joy with these characters. They were a hoot of entertainment.

The story sets off with seeing Geoffrey and Serena first meeting at a ball, and usually Serena denies herself dancing, however when Geoffrey asks her, she accepts her and soon that sets off their quiet courtship that they tend to keep from everyone. The story is a bit slow to begin, but stick with it because it picks up. I loved what a sweet tone to the story there was, you find that there is quite a connection between these two, and despite other circumstances, they both remain dedicated to each other no matter what their families may say. I loved how much faith and loyalty they had for each other from the beginning. The secret that Serena is keeping only adds more depth to the story and you see how it creates a guessing game for the reader...I kept wondering when and how this secret will come out. Because as the reader you know, but the mystery is knowing how it will turn about in the story and what affect it has on the story. I have to say that after reading this I was quite enthralled by the way you see their relationship grow from beginning to end. There are many things that both of them learn, and they learn it together. The heat in the story is not too heavy, and I enjoyed how light it was, and seeing more in the development of the plot and building up of the characters. I loved how real the romance felt, and the way that this author creates a love story is tender and sweet. UNFORGETTABLE!!!
