Sheikh Isma'il Zahara has plans for his country, and he knows his people and will do whatever it takes to stay in command and do what is good, which is why he must always be in control. He has plans for his country's oil, and is looking for someone that will help and aid his country. Lily Harkness, is a CEO and businesswoman, she gets the job done, and has dealt with many arrogant men, but she isn't ready for this commanding sheikh who rattles her. Lily has desires that she hides even from herself, she has a dangerous past that she wouldn't dare reveal to anyone, but Isma'il shows her desire and a seduction so deep he takes control of her heart and soul...but will she be able to do the same with this Shekih that exudes power and command...
Never Seduce A Sheikh is a contemporary romance, and deals with quite a bit of some darker issues that if you are looking for a light read, this isn't it. It has some darker elements that really suck the reader in and make you think about certain issues. In the beginning of the story, its all about business and transactions and agreements, the Shekih shows Lily that there is more to life than a contract. Lily is fully invested in gaining this oil agreement, so she doesn't see the bond forming between them until she can't resist him. Both Lily and Isma'il have dark pasts, but in this erotic romance, we see them share every dark secret, and there is quite a power in this story that draws you in. This story is a shorter read, so you will just breeze through it the moment you get into it, which for me happened very quickly and I just couldn't get enough. The characters are very vividly written and the author does a splendid job in portraying them in a way that captures you. And even though I am not a huge fan of erotica, I like more romance in the story, however in this one, I felt like there was quite a bit of intensity in the romance department, and how this story is all about overcoming and facing the past to embrace the love they share. A enthralling read to take hold of you and not let go!! A CAPTIVATING LOVE STORY!!

Emma Hallaway has been married for twelve years, and hasn't seen him since their wedding night. Emma is a painter, and has a talent for painting nudes, and is renown for her paintings. But when a man she thought friends, betrays her and threatens to reveal who she really is, unless she becomes his mistress, Emma is determined to make sure that never happens, because she would do anything to protect her sisters and keep them from scandal and ruin. But while in London, she runs across the one man she never thought she would see...her husband, Richard Mansfield. Richard has been away, traveling the world, and working in trade. Now he and his associate and closest friend, have decided to stay in London, but when he runs into his wife at a bawd house, he is shocked and furious. When he makes it known that he is staying, Richard plans on finding every secret that his sweet wife is hiding from him, but with each sensual embrace and scraping off the layers of Emma, he finds a woman that is full of passion and daring.
The Seduction Of His Wife is the first book that I read from this author. Now many of her other books have been on my wish list for some time. But as I was browsing the library shelves, I found this one just waiting to be picked up and read. And I am all about discovering new authors, so I thought I would try this one out. And I was so glad that I did. What a wonderful romance this one was. I really had no idea what to expect from this story, but from the moment that I began, I was instantly dragged into and it dug its claws into me and refused to let me leave the story until I had finished it. Definitely a page turner, a story that had me from the first few chapters. It is the first book of the series, and there were many fun aspects about the story that I really enjoyed.
Let me first discuss what I loved about the characters in the story. Now there were two love stories in this one...the main focus was Emma and Richard's story. But there is a sub plot that deals with Emma's younger sister Grace and Richards friend Dante. Richard's and Emma are quite the match. They definitely can show off fireworks, and tend to get very explosive together...especially in the bedroom. They have been separated for over twelve years, and you see in this story its all about reconnecting and healing. Both Richard and Emma are keeping secrets from each other, but you see how they slowly court each other with the help of Emma's sisters. The main focus of the plot is Emma's paintings and trying to keep it from her husbands knowledge, not knowing if he would support her in her work and think her scandalous. Richard is quite the hero...brooding at times, but can be playful, and tends to see Emma in ways that she doesn't view herself. Emma has the penchant for getting into trouble, with her sisters getting her into mischief, she tries to appear to be respectable, but she is anything but. She isn't ashamed of who she is, but as she gets to know her husband again, you see how she struggles with balancing her life out. She does have some trust issues with Richard, but throughout the whole story you see a tender love story.
Overall I couldn't help but fall in love with one. It had such a different voice in the story that I am not used to in Regency's. It had flair and zest, and with such sensual wit that it creates a rich and poignant treat for any reader to indulge in. I will definitely be reading more from this author. DAZZLING!!!

When Tony's ex wife, Kate, comes into town, he is blown away, Valentine is the last place he would ever expect her to be. Then when she starts to share everything that's on her mind, and the reason she is here, he still can't believe it. They have been divorced for nine years, and share a son. Tony has never been able to fully get over Kate, but having her choose her career over him was hard to swallow, when they stopped talking to each other, he knew it was a matter of time before they would grow to resent each other. So they ended it, and it was a mutual agreement, but there is a still a part of him that loves her. Kate always has been driven and goal oriented, and she worked hard to work for a big city law firm. But when she questions her bosses, that may put the health and welfare of the public at risk, they send her on a two month sabbatical. At first Kate has no idea what to do with herself, then she finds herself working at Tony's bar and grill. After years of conversing for their son, they develop a friendship of sorts, but then they decide to have a sexual relationship until she leaves, they have always been able to have a fire burn between them. But Kate will have to decide if the love she has always had for Tony will be enough, or should she return to her lonely big city life and lose the man she has only loved...again.
Sleigh Bells In Valentine Valley, is a heartwarming holiday romance that warms you from head to toe. This is a reconciliation story, which is always fun to have. It has been a while since I have read a story that the characters are a bit older, and have a teenage son. But I really enjoyed this from the first chapter and it starts right off with Kate entering Tony's bar and spilling out all of her problems to him. He is a bartender so it is part of his job description, but have his ex wife , where they barely speak until it concerns Ethan, is what really shocks Tony. This story was such fun and it does put the reader through a emotional ringer...that's for sure. You never know what is going to happen next with these two. At the beginning of the story, things are tense between them, but the longer Kate stays, the more comfortable and at ease they are with each other. I also liked seeing Ethan a major aspect of the story, normal teenage boy, wanting a smart phone, snowboarding with his friends, and doesn't share everything with his parents. It was a unique take on parenting in this one, and seeing the child a bit older. It was also fun seeing characters from previous books involved in the story line, and added a certain depth to the story that made it seem that much more real.
Overall I couldn't help but fall for the magic of Valentine Valley once again. A must read for lovers of contemporary romance, a tale of renewing, learning to love again, and a passion that never dies!! REMARKABLY WELL WRITTEN!!

Abby wants adventure, and to make her own way in her life. So even though she could experience the joys of the 'season', its the very last thing she wants to do. So she decides to accept a position as a governess. When she arrives, she is cold and wet, and had to walk from the town to the estate. And what does she find when she arrives? A brooding and brute of a man, who didn't even know that she was coming. His manner is rude but his eyes burn her, and she can't resist his burning desire for her. Her young charge, a young boy, who can't read or write, and is always hiding in the barn, she feels a affection for him immediately. A boy in need of attention and love, and his father...a man who sears her with his kiss, and shows her a tender passion that pulls her into his life. But there is someone on the estate that doesn't want her there, and soon it becomes evident that someone is trying to get rid of her, by any means....soon Abby and Elliott will have to work together to find the culprit before Abby's luck runs out....
After reading the first book, I was on tender hooks wanting to read Abby's story. At the end of the previous book, Abby tells her family she is leaving to help with a friend of hers that is having a baby...only she lies. She is actually planning on being a governess, and plans on living her life while she is at it. But what she doesn't see is to find much more adventure and excitement than she could have imagined or wanted. When she first meets Elliot she finds herself fascinated...he is so different from any man she knows. He is dangerous, earthly, large and intimidating. He is rude and offensive, but he is also passionate and carnal and there is something about him that speaks to her in every single way. She can't resist him, and before long a fierce passion erupts that could explode if they aren't careful. Elliot is one powerful hero, and he keeps others at a distance. He lost his mother at a young age, and then he lost his wife and was left with a young son to raise. When he sees Abby, he knows that she is very different from any other governess they have had...she is beautiful and young and loving. That is the very LAST thing that he needs right now. He also knows that before long she will lose her trust in him, so why build it in the first place? But soon she undermines his determination to keep her at a very long distance. Soon he finds himself believing in love and the chance for happiness.
The Plot for this story was pretty fast paced and just keeps you involved in the story. I have always loved Governess romances, and this one was very stimulating in different ways. There is such a strong sensual vibe in this story, and watch out or it could burn you. There is also a wonderful connection between the characters from the two main ones to the little boy who is in need of love. I just wanted to hold him...he was so adorable and mischievous and just had me torn up inside. The connection between Elliot and Abby, there were many moments of that sweeping you away feeling, that completely makes you forget reality and immerse in the story with every vivid detail evident.
Overall a heart wrenching story that puts your emotions through the ringer, and a story that is bound to touch your heart and want you screaming for more!! DELIGHTFUL!!

For one she can't knit worth a darn, but has tried most of her life and still can't even do one proper stitch. When she bumps into Jesse after ten years, she is overwhelmed with feelings of desire and love she has always held for him. But she is engaged, and her commitment is to him. But when Jesse starts to romance her again, and show her the woman she truly is, how to get wild and crazy and have fun with life....she begins to realize she will have to decide between being proper and marrying a man with prestige and a good name in the community or choose a man who knows her inside and out and sees the true Flynn...who will she decide to be the man she does marry?
Ever since last year when I was introduce to Lori Wilde a couple years ago, I was hooked on her stories. She is one of those authors, that got me addicted to Contemporary romances again. For quite some time I just couldn't sink my teeth into this genre for a while, I was really into historical and paranormal (and I still am just added another sub genre I am beginning to love again). So when I was introduced into the series when I read Christmas At Twilight, so I was very intrigued with the setting of Twilight Texas, and wanted more. So I picked this one up at the library, and definitely couldn't get enough.
This story is a bit of a triangle romance but not really. Its more about a young woman who loves two men, but one is unavailable at the time, and the other proposes and she feels he is safe. But right after she accepts that proposal where she hesitated agreeing too...her high school sweetheart comes strolling back into her life, and is fighting for a chance with her. The man she is engaged to is really the villain of the story, and that is evident from the start. His character always seemed to perfect but Jesse...now that is one sexy hero. He has a bad reputation, grew up around drugs and made mistakes. Then he comes to Twilight as a teen and meets Flynn who changes his life. He was such a great character to get to know. Even though he has this bad boy image, he is anything but a sweet and kind man that only wants justice and to get his girl. (oh sigh) he was lovely, and sexy in every way. The kind that is swoon worthy. Flynn could have had more backbone, her character was a bit flawed in some ways I liked but in others I couldn't stand. I felt like she could have fought more for Jesse, especially when she knows he needs it. And Jesse won't take it, he will fight for her, but demands the same. It is the wake up call Flynn needs to realize what is really important. Then we see her get her backbone...and then she becomes a great heroine instead of average.
This story was pretty intense...as in the way the story line turns out. Its the type of story that is pure intense in the love story, and really puts you at the edge of your seat needing to know what happens next. It was quite a adventure seeing these two characters really find their happy ending, and after finishing it...I knew I couldn't wait to get the second book of the series. There was such satisfaction in reading a romance that puts you on edge, stimulates the senses, intrigues you with each sensual scene and gives you a romance worth reading...GUARANTEED!! A HEART STOPPER!!

Sweet, Hot and steamy, but with enough emotion...bring your tissues ladies...you will need them...my overall thoughts...LOVED it!!
I received a ARC of The Prince Who Loved Me in return for a honest review thanks to Karen Hawkins, Pocket Books via Netgalley.
Prince Aleksey Romonovin is content with his carefree and worry free life. Aleksey is determined to have a strong involvement in the Romany and their way of life, to be a good leader for them, but he must convince his grandmother of it first. When he comes to Scotland, he meets a woman that makes his heart pound and he finds her way more intriguing than she should be...but her sense of freedom, love of books and dogs, and her intelligence draws him in like a bee to honey. Bronwyn, is considered on the shelf, having being only twenty four years old. She has dedicated her life to helping her younger sisters and her step mother in doing what is best for them. Her father is a scientists, and gone quite a bit, and she is the glue that holds the family together. She is perfectly suited to her life of reading, helping her family and enjoying the moment. When she meets a stranger in the wood, and they share a kiss that curls her toes and makes her want to give into temptation...she knows that she is in big trouble...because he is the first man in her life to give her thrills and excitement in her average life. Even though she knows that there could never be a happy ending for them...she and Aleksey have a spark and connection she never imagined...and she isn't willing to let it go without a fight.
The Prince Who Loved Me is the first book in this latest series, but is somewhat connection to the Duchess Diaries series, when we see Wulf's story, who is one of Aleksey's brothers. Now ever since I read Wulf's story I was fascinated with his character, and wanted to see more of the family, so imagine my surprise when I heard this series was coming out and I was beyond thrilled. There are four brothers, and Aleksey is one of the younger brothers, and loves the Rom, and he has his grandmothers blood in him, wanting to be their leader and guide them. He also loves his pleasure and his women, and his flirtations. But he also craves a afternoon in the woods with his books. Now who doesn't love a intelligent and charming prince who knows how to curl your toes with one look? When Aleksey and Bronwyn first meet, they have no idea of the others identity. To Aleksey, Bronwen is dressed as a servant, so he pursues her a interested in a pretty woman that fascinated him. Bronwen thinks of him as a woodsman, not realizing that he truly is a prince. When they learn of each other's identity, it doesn't stop the attraction. Everyone surrounding them are trying to stop them being together, but love always finds a way.
The connection these two have is quite unique and I couldn't help but cheer for them from the beginning. They both have the same passions and not just for the physical touch, you see how they connect on a intellectual level as well. They were such a fun pair, and such a charming love story this one turned out. From the start, it had me laughing, and there is such wit displayed on each page, to keep you quite entertained. Even though on the outside, it seemed to be a predictable story...it was so far off that mark...it continually tended to surprise me with little twists and turns that I didn't expect. I love a solid fairy tale romance...and this story probably tops them. It is based on the Cinderella story, but has many difference. The step mother and step sisters, are far from cruel and evil. In fact Bronwen has a loving family, even if her step mother is a bit zealous in her pursuit of good matches for her daughters. At first she seems to overlook Bronwen, but in the end I loved her. Her character really overturned any assumptions about her that I had. Now the grandmother of Alskey, she was a hoot and barrel of laughs. She will do anything to find a good match for her grandson, even to deceive him, but she definitely is full of depths, and I love her concoctions and ways of diverting the prince from his goal. She was quite a character, and added depth yet humor to the story, and I can't wait to see more from her in future books-I hope she is just as a spice in future books as she was in this one.
Overall The Prince Who Loved Me is a sensational romance that just gives you everything you are looking for in a love story. Packed with vibrant characters, sensual chemistry, witty humor, and a sensational plot that is bound to keep you captivated from the beginning to end. Charming, emotionally provoking, and will be compelling enough to give the reader a desire to devour it with each page!! A REFRESHING FAIRY TALE ROMANCE TO MAKE YOU HUNGRY FOR MORE!!

Nick sacrificed himself so that, Isadora, both his and his brothers mate, could have a chance for freedom with the man she loved and their daughter. Even though he feels a pull for her, he knows he can never have a mate. Now he is kept prisoner by Hades, he is tortured and abused but there is one woman who keeps him anchored, the one who is in charge of his torture...Cynna. Cynna, lost her family, and has wanted justice for their deaths. So she made a deal, and has done some of the most terrible things, and has been in charge of Nicks torture sessions, and has despised every moment and is started to believe she is irredeemable. When a chance comes to escape, she takes it, and takes Nick with her, knowing that she can't leave him there in that hellhole. From the moment of their escape, Nick, takes control of the situation, and passion ignites, and Nick is battling within himself, to stay in control, and only Cynna can center him. But soon he will have to choose to fight or give into temptation and the darkness that is spreading throughout him...
Twisted is the seventh installment in this amazing series by Elisabeth Naughton. The Eternal Guardians is a series based on a mythology theme. Nick is a special guardian, and very unique. He has spent his life protecting those from the wrath of the gods, and has been their leader. I have been watching Nick since the first few books in the series, and I have been waiting quite some time for his story. I will say that you can read it as a stand alone if you need to, but I would recommend you read the books in order if you can. I have yet to read books 4 and 5, so there was some things that kinda got me a bit lost, but I was able to catch on quickly to the story, and there is definitely history with Nick and some of the other characters that play a active role.
Twisted is pretty much what the title implies, there is so many "twisted" circumstances involved in play of the plot, but it works so well, and Naughton has really stunned me with her detail and being able to completely draw me into the story, that I had stayed up all night reading it, because I was so hooked. There is quite a bit of depth intertwined with the plot that really captivates you. In the beginning of the story you see both sides of Nick and Cynna. As they begin to delve deeper into their relationship, and certain aspects start to come to light, you gain a deeper respect for both of them as characters. They were such a solid pair, and even though I had a little issue with Cynna, for the most part I adored her. She became a endearing character for me, and I really started to like her even when I didn't think I could or even wanted to. At times she seems to always be running away (which was very annoying and I wanted to scream at her and yell "what the heck are you doing girl running from that gorgeous man who adores you??) Crazy woman!! Anyway, you start to understand her character more and the reasons behind her running, and Nick, well he is great. He just keeps chasing her. Which was awesome seeing the way he never gives up on her, after all he has gone through, he isn't willing to just let her go.
This story is pretty complex and has quite a few aspects that really put me through the emotional ringer, that resulted in a fully satisfying read that is fast paced and intricately written to endear the reader to this amazing talent of Elisabeth Naughton. This author will magically draw you into this world of mythology, suspense, passion, and loaded with plenty to satisfy your hunger!! RICHLY CRAFTED!!
