When I was first asked to read this, I didn't know if I would like it, especially since I wasn't sure if it would have a Happy ending (which is a must for me) but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed reading Medusa. At first I had a bit of a hard time getting into it, I don't know if it was just me or what, but I just had a feeling I needed to stick with it. However once I read the first chapter or two I was instantly drawn into this passionate love story that almost broke my heart. There were many different aspects that I liked about this. For one, is the theme of mythology that is almost the center of the culture and surroudings in this story. I have always been fascinated with greek mythology, and I really enjoyed seeing the interaction of the different gods in this one, and how in the end they were pretty much cheering for the couple (just like me!!:) But I also found the plot to be very on the edge type. There was non stop intensity and it felt so tragic at times. This is the type of romance that you want to make sure you have some tissues next to you---guaranteed to put your emotions through the ringer. It has been a while since I have read a story that had so much heartfelt emotions and almost makes you feel like you are on a roller coaster. Another aspect I like is that this author decided to go with Medusa. With most people, even me, I have found Medusa to be one of my least favorite characters, in greek mythology. I enjoyed seeing Medusa being put in as the good side of things, and we see a innocence about her and you feel like you can relate with her in a mortal way. There was also such a vibrancy to the style of writing that is used, somewhat different than what I am used to (which I found to be Awesome!) It was as if Summers was trying to reach out to her readers and share a special story, a story that has totally captured my heart. There was such a beautiful connection between the characters, their love so enthralling!!! If you are looking for a sweet love story, that is full of intensity, unsurmountable conflict (like the sea) and a couple that are so fully dedicated they risk everything for each other!!! A love story to bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your heart.

The love I have for you gives me breath and strength. You will always hold my heart. Let it give you the strength to do what must be done. For you will be my lady, forever.

Julian, at the age of seventeen had the responsibility of his title and rebuilding his fortunes that were lost. Now he is very picky about everything he has, he must have the finest of everything, now he is engaged to Lisbeth Redmond, who is beautiful and graceful and comes from a family from money. Then he meets Phoebe Vale, who is like a breath of fresh air. Phoebe is a school teacher for young girls, and for the most part thrives on her work. Then she is asked by Lisbeth to be her companion. At first Phoebe has her reservations, but she reluctantly agrees. She is surprised to find out that Julian is Libeth's fiancee. Phoebe knows that there is a instant attraction between them, but it is dangerous to give into the fierce desire that is about to burst between them. Julian knows that he has a obligation to see his engagement through, but he has never felt this way about a woman. Even though he wants the finest especially in his future wife, Phoebe is melting the shields around his heart, and more than anything he aches to hold her and keep her forever.
It has been a while since I have read from this author, but I have been wanting to read more from her, so I decided why not pick this one up. I do love a good romance that has some major conflict like forbidden love and passion. Whenever I read these type of stories, its almost like a mystery for me, I have to read it so I know how they end up together. How the Marquess Was Won was a easy read to get into, not the type where you have to force yourself to read it. It definitely had some fun and silly moments that definitely had me laughing my butt off quite a bit. The different scenes that played out, were full of passion and adventure. The plot was not quite predictable, and there were a few surprises here and there that kept the story lively and quite entertaining. The verbal banter between Julian and Phoebe was stimulating and humorous. I found Julian to be the type of man that knows exactly what he wants when he wants, and no matter the cost ---gets it. He is very full of himself at times, confident and loves the best of the best. Phoebe is very smart and clever and I found her a very likeable heroine. Especially with the setting Historical Romance, its always a delight to see a heroine that is way smarter that the majority of the men around her. I admired the way she tolerated Lisbeth -who could be a real mean (bitch) sorry for my language---but she was cruel at times, and I loved how Phoebe tolerated it and didn't let it bother her and create more tension than there already was. Definitely there was a good mixture of great qualities that made this book a tantalizing read that pulls you along every adventure, sensual caress and the sweet and tender moments between the couple--another great installment to a great series that you can't help but fall in love with.

His life has changed forever now that he has found a woman he can give his heart to and he plans on keeping her by his side for the rest of his life.
Oh how can I count the words of how much I loved thee!!! I ADORED this book. I was given this ARC through Avon and Edelweiss and can I say....why haven't I read this author before??? Lately though I have been not in the mood for a contemporary at all, but I thought I needed to give this one a shot, especially since I love any western style whether its historical or contemporary. When I read the blurb at first, I had my reservations--for one reason the theme of "love at first sight". I am not a full believer that Love at first sight is real or happens really, boy did I have it all wrong. This story made me believe in it, there was so much powerful and evoking emotions put through this story that became so real in such a way that it endeared me completely. The story begins with us seeing a little bit of a background on both characters, which helped quite a bit, and then it starts with these two seeing each other for the first time. I swear, and this was at the beginning of the book, I felt like it was 90 degree weather, (its Utah here, and its been raining and pouring lol ) the chemistry was instantaneous and firework explosive. I felt tingles and shivers and the more this couple interacts, they become almost explosive. The sub characters were charming and just added a fun element to the story. There were quite a few scenes that I just loved, however I secretly loved the banana pie scene, definitely knocked me over with delight, and I just wanted to swoon. (if you want to know what that entails...you need to read it to find out...I promise you WONT regret any of it!!) I do want to point out that this wasn't only a love story, there was a suspenseful and mystery element to it, that only increased my fascination with the book. I found the characters lively and charming, the story sweet and poignant, and the sexual side very sensual at times, but not too much to overshadow the love story, which I found to be utterly captivating!!! A story to charm your pants off!!! READ IT, you won't regret it!!!

"You are stubborn, maddening, illogical and infuriating," Roxbury grumbled.
"I am a Lady," Julianna retorted, as she stepped behind a voluminous potted fern.
"Exactly. That's what I said," he said, following her. She gasped. He grinned.

Julianna is one of the four writing girls, and she is well known as the "Lady of Distinction" and she writes on all the latest scandals, to keep up with their rival. Julianna has worked hard to build up her section and have many resources at her disposal. One night at the Opera, she spies Lord Roxbury in what would be the most popular scandal if she were to report it. So Julianna, not going to let this opportunity pass her by, announces what she has seen, and is has top rank among all the scandals, only she has no idea that this scandal would in the end change her life forever. Simon has no intention of settling down, he is more than content with his women and drinking, he has no issues with the way his life is going, until his father brings to him a ultimatum of the worst sort; get married or have no money at all and be poor? So Simon assuming that any woman would have him, thinks of this as no big deal. Well right after his father gives him this choice, the scandal of the year, that tops all scandals is about him, and no woman or man gives him the time of day apart from his closest friends. Now he is a world of trouble, because he has one week to find a wife. Well when he learns the identity of the woman that reported this scandal, he is out for retribution. Before Julianna knows it, she herself is embroiled into a scandal of her own, and she has no choice but to marry Simon or face the consequences, but what she doesn't expect is her distrust in this unlikeable man turn into a affair of the heart.

After falling in love with the first in the series "A Groom of One's Own" I was so excited to read Julianna's story. This series is about four women that write together for a newspaper and each book is their story. Now I have recently fallen in love with this author, and so I was really looking forward to reading more of her work. Now it was not my favorite, I think I enjoyed the first one a lot more, but Tale of Two Lovers was a very enjoyable read and there were many things I liked about it.

We begin with Julianna out on the town, looking for a new delicious scandal, to bring her ahead of her rival "Man About Town". Julianna then finds a shocking scandal, and can hardly wait to report it. So when we see this scandal (even I was surprised and a bit shocked but we find out the truth eventually but expect the unexpected in this story.) When she reports it, she expects her life to keep going great and getting better, only her life starts a spiral downward. Now Julianna at first seems a bit shallow being a reporter on scandal and all. We start to see more depth to her as you continue forward in the story. Then we turn to Simon, who is one of the top rakes, loves women, has had countless mistresses and affairs (more than anyone should ever have), and when his father hands him this ultimatum he is more than shocked and angry. However when the scandal reaches his ears, and everyone looks at him like he is a bug to stamp on, he knows that his life has been changed forever. So he vows on revenge, now I was kinda on his side at this point. And boy did I love the come back he did against Julianna, and it definitely had my laughing to the point I couldn't breathe. So if you want a good laugh, just read this story, it will crack you up to tears. There is a strong hate/love relationship we see develop here. They both despise each other in the beginning and the middle, but towards the end is where it really gets good.

Now I think I fell in love with Roxbury from the beginning, he is your average alpha male type rake, but he is very amiable and passionate and I love how he doesn't hide from his mistakes and doesn't blame it on others. He takes it all in stride, and I couldn't help but admire him for that. I found him to be way more noble than Julianna. Now Julianna, I really wanted to like her and I tried hard to, but there were so many things I didn't like about her, until the end. She seemed so, too proud and greedy at times. I understand her background and bad experience with men, but it just got on my nerves to the point I wanted to shake some sense into her. Don't get me wrong I didn't hate her, I just didn't like her. She seemed to me to have this superior attitude at times, and even though the second half of the book she slowly mellows down a bit, so I grew to like her a bit better, but overall she just didn't reach to me all that well.

Overall it was a good and solid read, and there were things I liked and things I didn't like too much. I felt like there was enough plot and tension and sensuality to be a strong book. I also liked how we see the secondary characters and their involvement in the story, and there were a few scenes that definitely won my heart over. There was charm and wit and a sense of playfulness to the story line that only added to the wickedly enticing story. There was some extreme measures put in play here, that I just soaked up toward the end. Even though there were a few things I didn't like, I felt like this was such a enthralling read, that just draws you in like a magnet, and I couldn't help but find a story that sent shivers down my spine and enough sizzling tension to curl your whole body.

After fighting many battles and wars along side his brother and their fellow country men, many have died more than half of their army, but they have come victors, but then his brother is killed, and Sevastian becomes the heir prince, with more duties and obligations than he ever wanted for himself. He knows his duty, to marry a woman of good bloodlines and with a lot of money; in order to save his country. So he comes to England to find just that, but the pickings are a bit slim, but there is one woman that may have a lot of money, but could never be his future queen, yet she stirs something in him he has never felt before and he can't help but be utterly fascinated and aches for more. Grier grew up in the country, but when her mother dies unexpectedly her birth father, a owner of a gambling hell, decides to put them in society, even though they have zero bloodlines worth anything, when Grier and her sister marry, the money that comes with them is sure to attract any male. Grier despises herself for putting up this ridiculous charade of being someone she isn't. She craves freedom, and knows that it is her duty to marry high, and when she first meets the prince, she finds him a boor and rude and would never go after him, since he doesn't seem to hold her in high esteem. But when they both end up at a country estate house party for a week, Grier wonders if she will be able to resist the temptation of one blissful night with him that would change her life forever.

I feel like every time I read a book from this author, I think to myself why did it take myself so long to read her. I have recently started reading more of her books, and the ones I have read so far, are some of my favorite romances. There is a certain way about her writing that captures your attentions from the first sentence. When I saw Wicked In Your Arms on the shelves at the library, I knew I had to pick it up, the cover alone is what really drew me, I love the vibrant yellows and oranges mixed in with the dark color of Grier's dress. Then when I read the blurb, I instantly put it in my bag. This story is the first in the series, and I do love a royal story, especially when in the beginning you wonder how they end up together, considering they are from two sides of the tracks right? Well it was pure bliss to read Grier and Sevastian's story.

We begin with Sevastian having just returned from the war, still wounded but seeking his grandfather, who expects him to marry well to rebuild their country up again. Still mourning the loss of his brother and with a huge heap of responsibilities he never though he would have to endure, he heads to England to procure a bride. Then it jumps to two months later, at a ball, where Grier, who is content to hide behind plants rather than talk nonsense with the ton, overhears a conversation not very flattering about herself and her sister, between a prince and his cousin, and lets just say the outcome was hilarious and the humorous tension that builds between Grier and Sevastian is very entertaining to say the least. In fact this is probably one of the more entertaining read I have had a chance to read in quite a while. Then they are put together in a house party for a week, and the conflict between them only escalates further. In the beginning they almost despise each other despite the fact they desire each other. Then we see a strong emotional connection as well builds between them, and despisement turns to passion which turns into a intense love story. It is almost like a roller coaster going through all these emotions along side the couple, A whirl of fun this story is.

Now I had a hard time choosing which characters I liked more Sevastian or Grier. Sevastian in the beginning seems to be very conceited and very rude but we see another side to him. We see the true character, what is beneath the tough protective exterior and to the delicious part of him. Sevastian is a royal, but he wishes he could have love and someone to really care for. He also knows the chances of finding that are slim. I enjoyed seeing the hard part of him soften toward Grier, and that's where it gets really emotional. Grier, just had my heart from the beginning, I felt it so easy to relate with her on a personal level. Grier has grown up riding astride horses, learning to fish and shoot, (nothing a proper woman should ever even think about), she likes to talk about real events instead of the weather or what needlepoint she is working on. I found her to be like a breath of fresh air. I also liked how resilient she is, pretty much everyone talks horribly behind her back, but she takes it all in stride, and puts a smile on her face even though inside she is hurting. I liked how brave she was and stood up to Sevastian constantly.

Overall I fell in love with Sevastian and Grier, and as we see their relationship progress, I couldn't help but love seeing these two together. The story was a whirlwind of fun, passion, a bit of danger, and a whole lot of intensity that only made for a astounding read. A SEXY read that only demonstrates Jordans wonderful storytelling talent that reaches out to the reader. DELIGHTFUL!!!

Quite some time ago I acquired this from the library, but at the time I hadn't time to read this, so when I saw it on the shelf once more I decided I needed to try it out, just to see if its as good as the reviews of this story I have read recently. This is the first time I have had a chance to read from this author, and I expected it to be a slow, hard to get into story....I do love it when I am proven wrong. From the first few pages, this story sinked its claws into me and wouldn't let go until the end.

We begin with Alexa stepping into a gaming hell trying to rescue her brother from his foolishness but comes across a dangerous man called the "Irish Wolfhound", who is the Earl of Killingsworth, has built up this business on his own but keeps it a secret from the Ton, since they would eat him alive if they ever found out. Alexa and Connor share a sensual embrace with plenty of steamy kisses and *sigh* makes me want to swoon kind of moment. Then we jump to four months later, we see Connor playing in a card game and trying to prove that a fellow man he is playing cards with is cheating, but in the end loses the game (which is practically unheard of for Connor). Then later that night he finds someone has broken in his safe and stolen all of his money, now he is in trouble. He suspects that something foul is going on, and needs to investigate it. Alexa is in need of something more out of her dull life in London, and seeks it in a gaming hell dressed as a man. Where she ends up winning half of the gaming hell in card game, and is forced to deal with Connor and the wicked delights his gaze promises. She ends up by his side in a whirl of danger and suspense and sensual passion. There is such a primal and intense connection between these two from the first, and I loved seeing these two almost battle it out, and in the end---was perfect, and totally satisfied me, and didn't leave me hanging or was too fast paced, I felt like it was wrapped up pretty nicely.

Connor is a very cynical man, dangerous at times, and hides who he truly is to everyone except for those closest to him. He is the type of hero who just want to melt at the sight of. The really sensual yet dangerous and exciting type, that gets the blood pumping. I felt energized when first seeing him on the pages. I couldn't help but just want to take him all in, he has the kind of personality that makes you want more of him. Now Alexa can be a endearing character for the most part. There wasn't any big issue I had with her as a character. I enjoyed seeing how see isn't afraid of Connor like most are. She is the fiery and passionate type of heroine, very independent and doesn't shy away from any danger. She can be bold at times, and I couldn't help but like that about her, even if at times a bit naive, but she was still a fun character that pushed Connor's buttons and I do love a heroine that brings the hero down a peg or two.

Overall I found Too Wicked To Wed a steamy and an exhilarating romance, full of danger and intrigue that is balanced out perfectly with the charming love story that is set out. I do love the suspense element that was put in the story, and only captivated this reader. With plenty of steamy scenes, stimulating characters, and a plot to arouse your senses. Loved this fun tale that made me ache for more from this author, and can't wait to read Gryff's story.

Phillipa has been concerned for her fiancee, who has been missing for seven months. He left right before they were to be married claiming he had to leave on urgent business but has yet to return, so worried for his safety, she needs to find him. So her grandfather hires a man he feels he can trust to do the job; Maxwell, Lord Montrose. At first Maxwell seems cool and professional to Phillipa with no hint of emotion and no sympathy in any way. She is determined to go with him in search of her fiancee, seeing as how she is the only one to recognize him. Maxwell reluctantly agrees, Maxwell has always been in control and doesn't let anything or anyone ruffle his feathers, but there is always a first time for everything, because Phillipa stirs him up and before he knows it they are traveling from all over England to France in search of her errant fiancee, but a love kindles between them, one that refuses to be quenched.

Over the years I have grown to love Edith Layton, and some of her books are my top favorite historicals, so when I saw this one on the shelf, I had to pick it up right? I didn't instantly make me want to read it, but because I have enjoyed this author in the past, I felt I needed to try this one out, unfortunately it wasn't what I expected or even hoped for. In fact it was a bit of a disappointment and I found myself forcing myself to read through it. The beginning wasn't too hard to get into but by the time I got to the middle, I was forcing myself through the story. (which is the worst thing ever, when its a chore to read instead of a pleasure). So the last half I skimmed a bit, I was tempted to put it down, but I really wanted to know what happens in the end, so I found myself sticking with a story I wasn't enjoying in any way.

Now lets talk about the story and what I liked and didn't like so much. We start with seeing Maxwell as a boy, and seeing what made him into the man he is in the story. Maxwell's father was married three times, but in a drunked rant, claimed he cared little for Maxwell and would just as soon see him dead. So Maxwell endeared the help of a servant who helped him into being a spy for England. Maxwell has a very tough exterior and doesn't let anyone get to him. Phillipa is desperate to find out what has happened to her fiancee. She has lived in the country all her life, and has been raised by her grandparents, who doted and spoiled her, but has made her feel isolated and she yearns to travel and make something of herself. The story continues with Maxwell taking Phillipa and her grandmother with him on the search for Phillipa's fiancee. Now the grandmother, has been cooped up in the countryside far too long, and seeks adventure and glamour and attention. She is a bit outrageous for a older lady, with no decorum at all, but somehow convinces everyone around her to let her do what she wants. The story wasn't as strong as you would hope for, it has inconsistancies and didn't flow smoothly, seemed a bit choppy at times. Not what you would expect from Layton.

The characters weren't the type to fully reach out to reader in any way. Not that they were bad characters, they were probably the best part of the story. However I just couldn't feel anything about them jump out at me. Maxwell has the type of outward appearance that makes it seem like he is the weak and foppish type, but beneath it all he is like steel in his resolve to serve his country. Then we have Phillipa, who I felt was the most likeable character, even if she has not much backbone except when it comes to finding her fiancee. I felt she could have had more backbone, yet there was something about this character that I found to be endearing. She had some qualities that made for a strong heroine but she just didn't quite do it for me. I definitely had a hard time seeing these two connect in any real way.

Overall it seemed to be the "not quite there" type of story. I was very disappointed in this one, especially since there are a few of her books that have been remarkable reads. From the first chapter I had a hard time getting into the story, it just didn't do it for me. I felt no real connection to the story or the characters and felt like I had to force myself to continue to read it. I really wanted to find out what happened in the end, which is the main reason why I stuck with it, hoping it would get better the more I stayed with it, but it continued to be the same and I couldn't help but find it a barely passable story. Not one I would recommend but I would still read this author, since I have enjoyed her other books.

The Duke of Wycliff, has spent the past seven years traveling all around the world, in his search of Timbuktu, and has battled sharks, pirates, see numerous cultures and of course women. Sebastian has come home unfortunately to assume his duties as the Duke, only to find that he is out of funds. Funds he needs to make his dream trip to Timbuktu, which he has devoted his whole life in finding. He knows he is in need of a rich wife, but finds himself distracted by the new housemaid, who makes his body burn with desire.Eliza Fielding has had a history of going undercover to get her story for the "London Weekly". Her boss, Mr. Knightly, has given her a ultimatum, if she desires to keep her job, she must put in a scandal in the paper, and very very soon. So upon hearing of the Duke's return, she goes undercover as his housemaid, to learn his secrets and expose them to London. Eliza never imagined that she would have so much success, but what she never thought would happen is fall in love with the man with whom she has betrayed his secrets. Will Eliza be able to get her happily ever after, or lose her heart to a man she may never have.
When I first found the whole series at the library, I wasn't sure if I should grab all of them, wondering if I would regret it later, however I am so thrilled I did now. I do love it when I get a chance to read a series in order, especially a series I am truly have a jolly time reading. Now the first one I liked quite a bit, the second one, wasn't as good as the first one, but was still a enjoyable read. So when I started reading the Tattooed Duke, I was nervous, hoping I would at least like it more than the second one. I am proud to say that this one, is my favorite of the series so far. There were quite a few of complex issues that played a part in the story.

It starts off with Eliza seeing the Duke return at the Docks of all places, when he first steps on England soil. From this moment, we see a instant attraction that Eliza feels for Sebastian. She knows he is the way by which she will be able to continue her career, as one of the writing girls. With Mr. Knightly having giving her this only chance, before firing her, she knows she must do everything she can to save what she has worked years to accomplish. When she dresses and poses as a housemaid, she never thought that she would be in such close proximity to Sebastian, or to find herself being slowly seduced. Sebastian we see is not the usual Duke type. He has a craving for adventure and he could care less about balls or what the Ton may think of him. All he wants is to find the one place he has devoted all his time and effort into finding. When he is labeled the "Tattooed Duke" and certain details of his life are revealed to everyone in England, and he knows it would be near impossible to find a respectable woman to marry him. He also has another problem on his hands....his servant, a mere maid, has all of his attention and he finds himself falling hard for her, even knowing they could never share a future together.

I found Eliza to be independent, strong willed and feisty to the bitter end. In the beginning we see her determined to write the Duke's secrets, but then we see her start to become real and full of emotion when she starts to fall in love. Eliza is the type of heroine that you can't help but love through the bad and the good, I really liked her quite a bit. She resembled the "contemporary" type of women, as she seeks to support herself, she does have a vulnerability when it comes to falling in love. Then we really start to see her true character, and I found myself to be admiring Eliza as a character. Sebastian is sexy, with his tattoo, his thirst for adventure and his attitude toward society. I found him to be a breath of fresh air, considering he is far different from most Regency hero types. There is plenty of conflict, especially once the secret is out, we really see some action, and I loved the villains that play a part in this book, it only added a more of a intense aspect to the plot. Even though the ending seemed a bit rushed, I found that was the only aspect I had a issue with.

I found The Tattooed Duke to be full of everything you need for a sound romance. A sure keeper for any one's shelf that keeps you interested from beginning to end. This installment in the Writing Girls series is by far my favorite so far. I just adored the bantering between Sebastian and Eliza. I found it be so entertaining, and the type of book that is a hard to put down. I found this one, to be highly amusing and stimulating at times. There was also a mysterious element (that deals with Eliza's past) that only intensifies the emotions that are played out. A Fully Satisfying romance from beginning to end that will win your heart!

And then he kissed her.
Knightly. Kissing. Her.
She felt sparks, she felt fireworks. Her first kiss. A Once in a lifetime kiss. With the man she loved.
She had waited for this. She had fought for this. She earned this. She was going to enjoy every exquisite second of it.

Annabelle has loved Derek Knightly from afar ever since she first started working for him. Annabelle, knows that he barely even notices her, and she wonders if she will ever be loved in return. So after waiting for what seems like forever, she decides to try to get his attention, that is the first step in seducing a man. Annabelle then places a question out to her faithful readers, to help her seduce a certain (nodcock) who is clueless that she is madly in love with him, and how to get him to love her in return. So she decides to take her readers and her fellow writing girls advice, and be more bold than she has ever been. Derek's life is the newspaper, after receiving his inheritance from his father, he decided to make something for himself. The London Weekly is his wife of sorts, he hasn't had any interest in women until he starts to notice changes in Annabelle, who is blossoming and become more beautiful and vibrant. Derek at first doesn't make anything out of it, but when he starts to see her pursuing other men, he gets green with jealousy, even though he is supposed to be marrying another woman soon to save his paper. Derek just doesn't know which he loves more his business or the woman who has sneaked her way into his heart.

I can't believe how much I have just LOVED this series. I was so thrilled to read Annabelle and Derek's story. After seeing in the past books, how much Annabelle loves Derek, despite his underhanded work when it comes to his precious paper. I just love it when I can read a series from beginning to end, and not starting middle way through. It was great to see all of the characters develop as you go along through each of the installments. Seducing Mr. Knightly is the last in the series, and I would put it as my favorite or closely tied with The Tattooed Duke. I can't believe how much I just loved this one, A page turner all the way through.

This story is basically what the title states, Annabelle is sick of waiting for Derek to notice her. All Derek sees in his life is sentences and paragraphs and columns of his paper. Everything else in his life becomes secondary. So determined to get her man, Annabelle, goes out to seduce him, only that is harder than it looks. Annabelle, isn't more meek and not very bold, but it was great to see the change in her. It was such fun to see the lengths that she goes to, in trying to get Derek to notice her. I did love how she asks her readers to give her advice in seducing him. She doesn't give out the real identity on who the (nodcock is? and I just love that term...because Derek in all honesty is a Nodcock through and through (he is a man after all, and doesn't take any hints, you have to be very daring with him). Derek is courting another woman, so that scandal doesn't get attached to his newspaper. He is willing to marry a woman that he doesn't love in any way and who doesn't love him. But he is determined to do everything he can to save his life's work. Annabelle doesn't let this discourage her too much, and starts to take more drastic measures, and some of the things she does to get him to notice her, are pure entertainment. I can't count how many times I was laughing my butt off!!

Derek Knightly, I have always liked, even if he is a bit will take really drastic measures for his newspaper. We see a different side to Derek in this book, we see the human side of him--that he isn't cold in any way, he just protects his heart. I really loved him as the hero in the story, and I found him to be perfect for Annabelle. In the beginning, he is a bit "Blonde" and you would have to knock him over the head with a statue to get his attention, but eventually he catches on and then sparks really fly between Derek and Annabelle. Annabelle is just a sweet and charming heroine, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She sacrifices all that she is for a family that could care less about her (she is a version of Cinderella in a way). It was great seeing her change into a woman that is daring and takes risks. There is such a strong and vital connection between Derek and Annabelle, and the story only gets better the more you read.

I found Seducing Mr. Knightly to be SENSATIONAL!!! I had heard so many good things about this book, so I knew I would be in for a good time. There were so many things that I truly admired about this couple. I love the schemes and little daring acts that Annabelle goes to try to seduce Derek. It was pretty humorous how he just didn't ever get what she was trying to do, even though it was pretty obvious to everyone else. There is such powerful emotions displayed in the story, with clever characters, and a passion filled story that will capture your attention until you have finished with it. There is plenty of drama and romance and a sense of play at times. You are in for a delightful story! A Keeper of a story!!
