Mikayla Martin, is a bridal shop owner and works with her closest friend. When she is witness to a murder, her life just starts to spiral downward, with no end in sight. No one but her family believes what she saw, and Mikayla knows that it is up to her to make sure justice is served. Nikolai Steele, a agent for the Elite Ops has returned because he owes a favor, and his job is to get his friend proven innocent of being accused of murdering someone, and so he goes to the accuser planning on finding out what her motive is in lying, but the moment he sees her and hears her voice he knows that things will just start to get worse for him. Nikolai has a heart of steel and ice, until he starts to work with her, and each day he is full of emotions where he thought he had buried them deep, and Mikayla reaches places so deeply hidden in himself, that he can't stop himself from falling in love with her, despite his refusal to do so. But sometimes fate has a way of turning our world upside down with true love...Renegade is the fifth in the Elite Ops Series, and by far my favorite of the series yet. I just loved how it had the perfect mix of romance, danger and mystery. In some of the other books of the series, they were too much on the edge of erotica, and not of the romance-the relationship side of it. Renegade although it had some very steamy scenes, it also had the emotional side that I have seen in her breed series, and I am so glad that it finally shown through in this one. I loved both characters, and how much we could see their love grow throughout the story, it was purely magical and I just loved it!! I found Mikayla touchingly sweet and endearing, although an innocent, also has a passionate nature. Nikolai although has a tough exterior, has a softer side too that comes out once he meets Mikayla. I found Renegade intoxicating, and satisfying with every page!!! A TREASURE!!

But she knows its impossible right? Didn't he died years ago?But will she discover the truth in time before danger comes that she never expects?

As far as a good Lora Leigh book, this was definitely well written in her style. However, as I was reading this one, it did have suspense and a mysterious plot, that definitely kept me at the edge of my seat. However the romance in it was to me not the kind of romance I like to read. It seemed like more lust than romance, and yes there should be passion and sensuality in every good romance, but it seemed to be overflowing with it, that I couldn't sense much love between the two, just sex, it just had a more erotic side of things. It definitely is filled with heat that will blister you with captivation. I certainly did devour this one, and I could hardly put it down, but I just felt throughout the whole of it, that there was something missing in their relationship that wasn't portrayed well enough to satisfy this reader. For the most part it was a intense ride and I did enjoy reading it.

I am still completely amazed by how well Lora Leigh writes her stories, she is such a riveting author where her exciting stories just come to life; and and draws the reader into a whirlwind of passion, adventure and classick love stories that will pull at your heartstrings. the Characters: Tanner and Scheme are also deeply portrayed. Scheme has suffered greatly under the hands of her father and his minons. Scheme wants to do everything in her power to destroy him, but she knows she has to find evidence against him first, but when she is about to set her plan in motion, she is kidnapped by Tanner who at first believes her to be in league with her father. After all that he and his fellow breeds have suffered at the hands of her father, he wants revenge and justice. However upon learning the truth he goes about to protect her, no matter the cost. But Scheme doesn't know who she can really trust, but the more she spends in Tanner's arms, her will wavers and she starts to question whether or not she should let him into her life and her heart.

I truly enjoyed reading Tanner's Story, it was definitely more on the thrilling side of things. Of course I love the plot, where Scheme hides things from Tanner even though she years to trust him and not knowing if she does will it be a mistake or the biggest reward of all. Tanner on the other hands, knows she lives in fear and desperation but also can smell the lies that she tells him, there is a powerful attraction between them, but at first Tanner doesn't believe she is his mate, but time will only tell. I think this is one of those that can be a re-read. Of course if you love shifter romances, and if you love Lora Leigh than you will fall in love with Tanner's Scheme, which is a enthralling love story from beginning to end!

When there is a suspicion at the "Sanctuary" that someone is a spy in their own camp they decide to bring in Ria Rodriquez, a talented woman at finding leaks. Ria has grown up in foster homes and never having a "home" until she turns eighteen Dane Vanderale offers her a job, for both him and his father Leo. She finds a family and home with them, feeling like she has found she has a place where she belongs, even though Dane has been quite frustrating as most breed males only can be. When she goes to the "Sanctuary" she meets up with Mercury Warrant who is her bodyguard, and a sensual desire flames up between them, blazing hot. Ria knows that she has a job to do, but at the same time she is drawn to Mercury whose mate died years ago. She is looking for more than a one night stand, she wants a loving relationship and knows her heart will only be broken in the end. Obstacles get thrown in their way that will prove how strong their love really is.

I have realized I should have started reading Lora Leigh many months ago, this having been the first book that I have read of hers, I have found out that she is one of my favorite fantasy romance authors. I had heard such great things about her books, and they were all right. Lora Leigh delivers THE BEST in my book!!!!I found this book to be so sinful it should be awful it was so wonderful to read. I truly loved Ria, she is one of those heroines that stands up to the alpha type male, and stands her ground until of course his kisses melt her senses away, (which I have to say was thoroughly enticing) I also loved the conflict of when his supposed mate comes back to life, and doesn't know which one is really his mate. My heart ached for the position that they both were put in, and how its a classic story of how true love does conquer all obstacles, no matter what they may be. It was a thrilling ride of adventure and passion!!!

For years Sophy has dedicated her life to the dressmaker business along with her two sisters. Sophy's talent lies in being able to turn herself into looking like anything and being able to convince anyone off of the street to com into their shop. Shophy has been focusing her attention lately on the recent scandal that threaten to put their shop out of business. Then Longmore's sister runs into a spot of trouble, and flees London. So she joins up with Longmore to help search for her. What Sophy doesn't expect is to find a hidden passion that surfaces between herself and Longmore. For quite a while now there has been a hidden tension that has existed between the two, but now its like a bursting flame only wanting to break free...Scandal wears satin is the second in the most recent series by this author. I really loved the first one and so I had some high standards for this one as well. Overall it was the kind of book you can relax with but not one that will be a 'unforgettable romance'. I mean there were parts here and there that were funny and exciting in ways, but I felt like something was missing out of the relationship. I felt like there was more focus on Clara than there was on Harry and Sophy. I have enjoyed seeing Clara and I hope we get to see a happy ending for her, however, its a bit frustrating wanting to see more of the relationship between Harry and Sophy. I think the side story of Clara really railroaded the love story here and it didn't really blossom into any good romance that I am used to seeing with this author. I definitely will read more from this author because I just love the stories I read from her so far. However I think she could have focused a bit more on Harry and Sophy over Clara. I just thought it was a bit too much. But overall not a bad read, it was enjoyable at moments, but it just wasn't a complete package that I was expecting.

He knows its time for him to marry her like he promised, so while in Paris he plans on sowing the rest of his oats before then. But when he see's Marcelline he is utterly captivated by her. And as the wedding date gets closer, the more he wants to keep Marcelline in his life, but knowing he has to put duty above love...Silk Is For Seduction is the first book that I have read from this author in a very long while. So I kept putting it off not knowing if I would enjoy it or not. Now I am thinking I should have read it when I first got it. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit and it was a bit different type of story that I really liked. I really loved the interaction between the two characters. I also enjoyed the mini side story as well. I found myself really liking the unique style of this story. I loved how bold and daring Marcelline could be, she definitely had my vote. Clevedon is one of those heroes that you just can't help but fall in love with. He is so sweet and attentive at times, it just made me smile. I really was charmed by his manner toward her. There were many different things I liked about this story. I really loved how dedicated Marcelline was to building a life for herself, I truly enjoyed how Clevedon treated others, and how he would always try to do the right thing. I also loved the witty humor and the tender romance that will charm you.

Now she is married to Dallas and everything is unfamiliar, and feels more alone than ever. This is my favorite book written by this author, I just love reading it, and could read it over and over and never be bored by this story. This story begins with two people that couldn't be more opposite of each other, and each one has certain dreams, but when they truly come together they manage to have both of their dreams come to life. I found this a powerfully emotional book, that will cling to your heart. It has such a charming note about it, the characters fully of depth and promise, this is truly a sparkling gem that will touch your soul.

My Favorite Quote:
"You were my dream, Dee. I just didn't know it. The part of me that I was always searching for."

Morgan Lyons, Earl of Westcliffe, after finding his bride in the arms of his brother, can't forgive her, and banishes her to the country estate, then he settles in England, a conossiur of woman alike. He has never been able to forgive or forget the one night, that should have been theirs. Claire Lyons, having been bethrothed to Morgan knowing that she would end up married to him, but never spent time with him before they got married, was afraid of him. So when his brother offered a way that would give her time before having to give her body to the Earl, she agreed being a little drunk, but not knowing what it would entailed. After the fact, she fully regrets it, and stays at the country estate, managing it as well as any man, but when her sister is of age, she goes to England to reconcile with her enstranged husband and to put her sister out into society. But seeing Morgan again, and after sharing a passionate kiss with him, she sets her out to seduce him and win him back to her side forever, to have his love and non other.

I truly loved reading Passions of a Wicked Earl, it was such a engaging and warm read, that had me aching for more but yet leaving me fully satisfied at the end. We see Morgan, who had planned at the beginning to keep true to his vows, but after seeing his brother holding his wife, never mind that both had their clothes on, he feels betrayel stab to his heart, and vows to never forgive her or forget that horrible night, where he knows their marriage is a farce. However when she returns to London, he knows he can never trust her, however passions ignite between the two, and he starts wondering if he should have listened to her all those years ago, and should he trust in her again, or will he only be betrayed once more? Both Morgan and Claire find a love benetah all the mistrust and betrayal, where they learn to trust with full hearts. Passions of a Wicked Earl is one of my favorite romances written by this author so far, it had such a emotional twist to it that went to the heart of this reader, definitely looking forward to reading the sequel in this wonderful series.

Frannie Darling, having grown up on the streets with the Feagan boys, she stays away from men after a terrible incident that caused them all grief. Now she does the books for the Gentleman's club, she is also taking children off of the streets and placing them in a safe environment, most of them working for a devil of a man Sykes, who is ruthless with those that defy him. Knowing what these children have to go through, she builds a home for these children, where they have food, a roof over their heads, education and a loving and safe environment. But when he see's the beautiful Frannie Darling, who stirs up feelings inside of him that he never thought he would feel, but knows all he can offer her is a position in his bed. But never knowing that it was about to take him on a ride he never expected to enjoy, and to find a tender love that would brighten his bleak day to day life.

Surrender to the Devil by Lorraine Heath is the third installment in the Scoundrels of St James series. I truly loved reading Frannie's story, who is one of my favorites out of all the Feagan Children. Frannie, after one horrible night having her innocence taken away, finds healing after years, but her Feagan brothers and protectors have never forgotten, especially when she meets Sterling. But despite all their efforts, she finds herself falling for this handsome Duke, yet knowing she can never have him in the long term sense. Sterling at first seems cold and only holds feelings for his sister, caring for no one else. But after time passes, Frannie finds Sterling's inner character, who does care, especially about her, despite the way he attempts to hide it from her. But their tryst turns from all about to lust from a whole lot more than either of them expected to find. This was truly a remarkable love story, and Frannie and Sterling's story was sensational and had a emotional side to it, that left me fully satiated at the end. The plot was engaging, and the character came alive, with a heated passion that will surely heat up your windows. This was such a wonderful romance, and Lorraine Heath has done it again with Surrender to the Devil!
