As with many of the Troubleshooters series, there are multiple sub plots within this book. I listened to this book, which I have all of the Troubleshooters, and will review them all once I listen to them again and their stories are more fresh within my mind. I just finished listening to Into The Fire and very much loved it. It did take me a while to listen to it, since I have been pre occupied of late, but I finally finished it. Yooray For Me!!! It starts out with the main story plot which is with Vinh Murphey and Hannah; who have been friends for ages. Vinh lost his wife some years ago, and still has problems grieving over her death. He loved her dearly and his only friend he ever comes to is Hannah. He comes to her cottage one night drunk as Hannah usually see's him since his late wife's death. Hannah understands because she was her best friend. I remember when I had listened to Hot Target where she dies. I was upset when Brockmann decided to kill her off, but now I am glad that she decided to do Vinh and Hanna's story. It was much needed. Since there is a plot to frame Vinh for the man's death who he believed was responsible for Angelina's(his late wife) death. Hannah knowing she is the only friend he trusts, assists him in his mission to find out what really is going on and the risks involved are high. All the while his other friends(Seals ad Troubleshooters) are out hunting for him so they can find out what is going on and uncover the truth.
Another one of the sub plots is with Izzy Zanella and Danny Gillmann's younger sister who has just turned 18 years old are brought together. She takes refuge with Izzy for the night after her boyfriend leaves and abandons her at a Krispy Kreme. Where they spend one night together, and even though they don't get to third base, Izzy knows he is lost. Much later Danny forces him to marry his sister when she is found pregnant and they assume its Izzy's and even though Izzy knows he isn't the father he is willing to marry her.
Another minor sub plot that we see in this book involved Tess Bailey and Jimmy Nash. Although they are officially engaged, they have yet to set a date. It seems as though Jimmy is trying to force Tess into leaving him; and I have to say I can understand why (and you will too if you read this book) however you can see how much they love each other especially from a earlier book in the series Flashpoint. But you can see how Tess see's through Jimmy and his attempts to protect her although misguided.
I absolutely loved this book, especially since I am a Troubleshooters fan, and I have been hoping that Murphy would find love again after his loss. The main focus of the book is Vinh and Hannah's story. Although I definitely enjoyed the other sub plots; which were filled drama, wit and suspense and very arousing. I loved the mystery and intrigue, the unabashed passion that develops between the couples, and the undermining love that strengthens and fortifies these tender relationships that Brockmann reveals to us. The plot was filled with excitement and thrilling suspense, the characters were highly developed and well portrayed, and it involved most of the Troubleshooters Team and the Seals Team 16 as well; which is always great to see. I was utterly captivated by this book, and would love to be able to listen to it again. I hope to have the opportunity soon!!! This is definitely at the top of my list of good book to listen to and read!!!

Sin and Sensibility is the first in the Griffin series. This is not the first time that I have read this series but I haven't read this series since they were newer, so I just wanted to read this one since it was one of my favorites and as I was reading I remembered how much I loved it. The passion and the romance came alive for me once more. I have always been a fan of Suzanne Enoch, books that are fun, sexy and full of sizzling chemistry that draws you into her stories. Sin and Sensiblity was no different, and I loved the interaction between Eleanor and Valentine, and there were moments in the story that you find yourself totally captivated....definitely a Enjoyable read!!!

Captain Bradshaw Carroway, has a passion for living a life on the see, and loves the excitement and danger that comes from being Captain of his own ship, however when he is ordered by to be a babysitter to a load of Aristocrats, he would rather cut his own tongue out. However there is one passenger that has caught his eye, daughter of a well known historian, Zephyr Ponsely, has been by her fathers side ever since her mother passed away and been all over the world, and is eager to learn how to a lady and learn how to flirt and learn about life and passion. Zephyr is blunt and the desire between Shaw and Zephyr explodes after sharing a sensual embrace, Zephyr keeps breaking all sorts of rules of decorum and such, but would much rather be in Shaw's embrace, than follow all the rules and be miserable, but what she never counting on was learning that giving into personal desires, can lead to matters of the heart, something she isn't prepared for but then ...neither is the confident rogue of a Captain...Bradshaw Carroway. Rules of an Engagement is the third in the Adventure Club Series by Suzanne Enoch. I just fell instantly in love with this story and the characters. The characters alone were full of wit and passion. The story itself wasn't that incredible, however there was a sense of flirty fun throughout the story, that kept me engaged throughout the whole of it. At the beginning both the main characters hate each other, and had me laughing at their interactions with each other, but we see from the moment that they share that memorable first kiss, that things change for them both, and they realize how much alike they truly are. I truly haven't enjoyed such a romance in a while, and it was good to have one that was carefree and full of laughs...plus the cover is utterly charming
Amy Peel, remembering little of her childhood, only knows that she grew up as a orphan. Amy is a mysterious dancer at one of london's underworld's clubs, Amy only dancing out of necessity and very few people know of her true identity. Forced into a life to survive, Amy hopes that she may find a way to escape such a life but has no idea how it could be done. Edmund Hawkins is looking for some excitement, and when he hears of a notorious club that is being rumored to being the "most wicked" in all of London. So stealing into the notorious club, he is stunned by a certain stunning woman, and he yearns to know her more, and not just for the desires she rises up in him. So when he saves her life, he finds out her secret, being zarsitti, the sensual dancer of the club. Now through a twist of fate, they are thrown together, when Amy's life is put in danger. Now Edmund is determined more than ever to protect her, but the rising passion between them will turn into a powerful love story. The Notorious Scoundrel is the second in the Hawkins Brothers series, and this is Edmunds story, which was a pure delight for me to read, better than James' story in my personal opinion. It was definitely more exciting and the character more engaging throughout the whole story. There was also a consistancy of flow throughout the book, that had me turning the pages as fast as I could. I also found the two characters Amy and Edmund, and I found these two to just have such a connection, and another plus was that it was portrayed so well. Although I would have to say my only problem would be with the heroine's characters. I found that until the end, that she was a bit selfish, and Edmund was willing to sacrifice so much for her happiness, but gratefully she came to her senses before it was too late. However overall it was a enjoyable read and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series, especially if they are as good as "The Notorious Scoundrel".
Sophia Dawson, daughter of a pirate, seven years ago fell in love with Pirate Black Hawke, one of the most infamous pirates but when she fell in love, she found she couldn't stay without marriage, and she wanted more than to be his mistress and being shunned by everyone surrounding her, she deserves more than that. James, once the Black Hawke Pirate, has retired from pirating for his sisters sake, and hates being in Society, but then he sees the one woman that he has vowed for revenge, thinking she is cold and unfeeling. However both Sophia and James, are headstrong and stubborn, and when they enter into a battle of wills which could lead to scandal or the most exquisite pleasure to be found in one another's arms once more. Although The Infamous Rogue was a wonderful romance to read, it was one of those that I had to push myself into reading. It didn't draw me in as other books of this author has. I think the problem was the characters in this book. It just seemed off to me the way they interacted with each other, especially at the beginning of the book. Maybe its just me, or.. I don't know, but this is probably one of my least favorites of this author that she has written. Although I do like reading from this author, The Infamous Rogue just doesn't do it for me. It did have some good points though, I did enjoy the plot of the story and although I liked the book it was a bit more than an average read, although I will be reading the rest of her books that are related to this one though. I hope I will enjoy them much more. But if you like historical romances with a handsome rogue pirate, than you will enjoy this one.
I was walking down the shelves in my library when I came upon Ana Leighs books, and since I haven't read anything of hers in some time, I decided to read Cole once more. I knew I loved her books, but it had been some time since I had. First off I would like to say that the cover is what convinced me to pick this one up and start reading it first. I mean anyone who looks at this cover, can hardly resist reading it, it draws you in, like a bee to honey.
The story begins in San Francisco, in 1898, where Cole MacKenzie is bored with life, and is looking for a change. He then gets a urgent message from his old gold hunting partner, Pop O'Shea. Who sends him a telegram telling him that he needs help immediately, so Cole heads for Lawford, New Mexico. Once he arrives, he is told that Pop has died from breaking his neck in a mine. Cole is then is notified by Pop's lawyer, that he needs to talk to him about something urgent the next day. So Cole heads to his office the next day, and comes face to face with Maggie O Shea, Pop's daughter. Cole remembers her as a young girl, when he went gold digging years ago. Maggie has been in love with Cole ever since she was fifteen years old. Cole has never noticed her except for being a child, and once she see's him again she vows to prove to him that she is a full grown woman. However once she hears that Cole is in charge of her assets, even who she can marry, she is horrified. Maggie wants to be able to control her own future and make her own decisions. So she goes about her way proving to Cole that she is a woman that can make her own choices. But as tempers ensue, so does their passions, and that start fighting both each other and their feelings that grow between them. Cole is starting to realize what a woman Maggie really is, and how much he aches for her touch. Maggie has mixed feelings about Cole, not knowing whether or not she can trust the wanderer with her heart...again.
I found Cole to be a sensual and enticing read, with humor and endearing characters, Maggie is one of those heroines, that despite her loss from grieving her father, she also has to decide what she truly wants in life. Cole enters her life, and she becomes even more confused day by day. Maggie has been in love with Cole ever since she has known him, when she first met him was in Alaska where they went on adventure after adventure. Now her father is gone, and all she and Cole seems to do is end up doing is fighting or kissing. Maggie doesn't know if Cole will be wanting to stop his wandering lust or end up staying with her. She has just a hope that he will fall in love with her. Cole is also just as confused, he finds himself wanting to stay in New Mexico with Maggie, he never knew such contentment and passion in his life. At first he just aches for her body, but he ends up aching for so much more. He finds himself falling in love with her, and having no clue what to do. Its a pretty amusing yet sensual story, I found myself either getting a breath of fresh air from the heated room, or laughing my head off from the way this couple interacts. It is a very stimulating story in every way, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it again. There were a couple of minor thing that I had a hard time with while reading. Some of the arguments between Maggie and Cole seemed more like fights between six year old's instead of two adults. That was probably my biggest concern for this book, but other than that I definitely though it was a genuinely well written story. Even though its been a couple of years since I have read Cole and Maggie's story, I definitely was satisfied at the end and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

The characters were so genuine and portrayed in a way that I felt I could relate with them. The plot was also full of surprises and intensity, and the romance was completely satisfying till the very last page. Definitely worth it!!! I was totally seduced by Midnight's Wild Passion!!!

Thanks to Edelweiss and Avon Books I was given a copy of the ARC Sins of a Ruthless Rogue by Anna Randol. I actually have never read anything from this author, and now I am wishing I had read more from this author. I really enjoyed this story, even though I am not huge on revenge type romances, I found that the way Randol weaved this story together, definitely has me hooked. The plot was very exciting and at times felt like a roller coaster, but had a fun and adventurous element to it. I also loved the style of writing this author displays....it instantly draws the reader right into the story. It didn't take me very long to get into it. Clayton is full of revenge, and is more stubborn than an ox when it comes to Olivia. Even though there were times I considered him to be ruthless when it came to matters pertaining to Olivia. But I always love it when the hero gets proven wrong. I really liked Olivia, she admits to her mistakes and doesn't excuse them for any reason. But we see how deeply she cares for Clayton, and she proves that she is a better person now than when she was fifteen. That she is willing to do whatever it takes to do what is right. The chemistry that explodes between them is burning and I found myself fanning my face at times. (where is my fan when I need it? LOL) But there was also some very tender and sweet moments that occur that just keep you wanting more. From beginning to end Sins of a Ruthless Rogue was a captivating tale that takes you on a adventure from England to Russia and will endear you to this author as it has with me. LOVED every page, every paragraph and sentence that had me falling heads over heels in love with this fun and exciting story!!

When he purchases a piece of property that would be perfect for his business pursuits he is shocked to discover her on the property he is about to purchase. Helen, recently has suffered a shock, losing her father and losing everything she has known. When she returns home, she is stunned when she is informed that the home she grew up in and was in her family's possession for generations has now been taken in exchange for her father's gambling debts. When she meets Harry Morant, she instantly feels a spark of attraction, but knows that there is nothing she can do for it. She has other major concerns, she has a secret, one that must remain hidden, even from a man that she could see herself sharing a life with. But when circumstances occur that force her into a marriage with Harry, she starts to open her heart to him, a man that could give her everything she ever dreamed of. Lately I have been reading some amazing reviews from books written by this author, and so I was very excited to read His Captive Lady. There was many things that I enjoyed about this one. Even though it was in the middle of the series, I didn't feel very lost at all, and I think it could be read as a stand alone if desired. After liking this one so much, I plan on reading more books written by this author. It starts out with the first meeting between Helen and Harry taking place. We see a instant attraction, and my heart just went out to the hero from the beginning. He has a strong personality but we also see a sensitive side that only makes him even more attractive to me. I really just fell in love with the way he treats Helen. He is very protective of her and isn't afraid of commitment or marriage despite his bad luck in the past. I also loved the vivid way this author writes her descriptions of England, and i just loved seeing these two fall in love. There was also a strong emotional bond that is vividly portrayed. And I will admit on shedding a tear or two. Definitely had its emotionally wrenching moments for sure. There was definitely a enchanting ring to this tale that just had me totally addicted to the charming tale of love and romance. A page turner that will move you on a emotional level. A Delightful tale that will warm you heart and leave you aching to read more from this author!!
Virginia Hughes, was raised on a plantation, the "Sweet Briar" a place that she treasures greatly. But then her parents die, and her guardian, a uncle that lives in England, has her go to a girls school until she is eighteen. Now she has recently turned eighteen and is eager to return to her home, however she is then informed that her uncle wants her to stay there another three years, so Virginia decides to leave the place and go to her uncle in England for help in getting her plantation back for her, since it is her inheritance and she knows everything in order to run it. However on the way to England, she gets taken prisoner by Captain Devlin O'Neill, who is bent on revenge against her uncle and is determined to use her in the process. However what neither Virginia or Devlin realized was how strong the desire that they feel for each other grows into a consuming passion, one that could very well change their lives forever...The Prize is the sixth installment in the de Warrene Dynasty series that Brenda Joyce has created. I have recently fallen in love with this author and her stories, and The Prize was no different, and I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning. Both were endearing and so likable throughout the whole of the story. There were parts of the story where I felt that Devlin was a bit too hard of a character, however the emotions that were portrayed by the characters felt so vividly real, and made the story come alive even more. The Prize is such a emotionally charged story that will pull at your heartstrings with every chapter. I am very much looking forward to reading the rest of this series, and The Prize definitely was filled with everything that I just adore in a historical romance....passion, adventure, intrigue and a powerful love....FANTASTICALLY WRITTEN!!!
