2/5 🌶

This book is the first one in the Blade of Shadows series and also the debut novel of the author.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the whole storyline about time travel and all these unspoken secrets.

There were a lot of plot twists, and I really didn't see most of them coming! I think that's very important for a good story. So my interest was constantly at its peak, and I had to keep going to get my answers. And you get them, which is so satisfying.

I've to say I couldn't always wholly follow how much time has passed. That made it, at some points, a little tricky for me to completely comprehend the development of the relationship between the MCs.

But I loved them! I liked the way Roman speaks because it's so fitting, considering the time this story takes place.
I also liked how Olivia evolved from an angry woman with slight tantrums into her real strong self!

I can't wait to read the second one because this cliffhanger drives me insane!

2/5 🌶 (excludes Part I)

I have no words for this book.
It broke my heart in so many ways and then put it back together.

I love this storyline because it is so realistically written. Healing is such a big part of this book, and I felt every single step of it.

I felt the love between Cora and Dean and all their pain. It was obvious their love was always there, and I really liked that!

Dean is such a great MMC. He realized what Cora needed, and he made the biggest sacrifice to help her find her way back.
Oh, I adore him!

Cora's pain was so palpable, at least for me. I wished so many times that she'll find her strength, and reading how she accomplished that made every heartbreak worth it.

I really recommend this book, and I'm glad so many of you recommended it to me.

It's so worth it! But please check CW's!

3.5/5 🌶️

Okay, somehow it's hard to write my thoughts about this book down.

I enjoyed it, and I like the MCs. A female villain and an undercover agent? Count me in.

While I've read the book, I had to think about @diveinthepages review. She said that Evelina's like a never-ending onion, and I completely agree.

She's a really badass villain who's simply searching for someone who truly loves her. And Nick found his true love with Evelina, which made him realize that not everything's just black and white.
Grey is our favorite color to live in!

It's a good read, and I liked the story's pace. I just couldn't attach as much to the storyline and the characters as to the other books in this series.

3.5/5 🌶

The amount of sleep I got tonight because of this book is ridiculous.

I have to say it took me a little bit longer than Hooked to get into this book entirely.
But the last third was insane. And that's why I had to finish it tonight. There was no way to put it down.

My highlighter was constantly in use because Tristan was on point at this part. I liked him before, but the last 150 pages made me irrevocably fall for him. God, this man is a ridiculously hot villain. I can't wrap my head around it.

I also liked Sara because she's a lovely FMC. She's strong and kind but, at the same time, ruthless. It's great! These two as a duo shouldn't be allowed. You've absolutely no chance against them.

But what completely stole my heart was the side characters.
Can we talk about Timothy and how I sobbed like a baby because of him?
And Paul, Edward, Sheina, and don't let us forget Simon. This boy got exactly what he deserved, and I adore him!

This book is an excellent enemies to lovers, and I'm so in love with this whole book! You have to read it!
