All in all I wasn't a huge fan of this series. It had some good moments but not enough of them. Also the art in one of the chapters was very much not my taste.
There are some great short pieces in this collection. The Wesley and Fred one was particularly funny and heart breaking. A good read.
I loved this spike series. It was exactly what you would expect from Lynch. Funny and action packed.
This is an awesome look into the future for a slayer. I liked Mel and all of the characters. It had a true Whedon twist at the end.
Predators and Prey
Doug Petrie, Steven S. DeKnight, Drew Z. Greenberg, Jane Espenson, Jim Krueger
I liked how this issue was made up of more individual stories. I love Harmony's character development. Her being a reality star is perfect. And it was nice to see an end to Dawn's maddening storyline.
I was excited to see Oz but wasn't too thrilled with the whole storyline. I don't like army slayers or largeness if the story.
One word: confusing. I mean what just happened there??????? This better get good again!
An interesting end to the season. It explained some more behind the big bad but I still wasn't fully sold to the plot to be honest. I am eager to see where this goes the next season.
This was one of my top favs for this series. I really like the evolution of Claire and her friends (especially her relationship with Shane). And there was enough action to keep me reading.
I was so reluctant to go back to the Expanse series after book 3, which I had to push myself to finish. I am so happy that I did, however. Chibola Burn was a great installment with only a few things that annoyed me. I liked the setting of a new world. It had a built in intrigue that I loved. I also love Holden and Miller together, which I had in spades in this novel. Having Havelock be one of the narrators was great as well. He was an interesting character in the first book and was really built up in this one. I think the one thing that bothered me was Elvi's POV. I liked her at first but then she got annoying and fast. She was, however, not as annoying as most of the narrators in book three. All in all, this was a really good installment, my favorite since the first novel.
