Very fast paced. Too forced audio narration in peak moments. I kind of lost interest at times, and couldn't quite keep up with the number of characters. The stakes where high a lot of the time and there was a lot of battles, so it kind of became low stakes to hear of one. It kind of got exhausting at times.
I liked at lot of the "problems" between the couple. They talked to each other, I liked that it seemed more natural and mature compared to other couples I have read. I think the majority of characters lack depth. I didn't care too much for many of them and they seemed dismissable (ex. Now xx is dead, now the number is...). Would like more description of the environment, but I might be too seasoned a reader of fantasy compared to the target audience. It was a "fun read", but that's kinda it. I am not that invested even though I liked the first one. This is by no means a bad book and I will likely read the next.

Most wholesome "book boyfriend" I've read, but the ending dragged on for too long, with one too many bad things happening at once. It became a chore to read ind the end. Too bad.
